Sorry guys ps3 browser ..👎 cant get the pic to show up:nervous:

Has everyone lost interest in this car? Also, I am wondering, does anyone know about the Viper team's plans for ALMS/Rolex series next year?

Pretty sure they've said 2012 would be a few races with a full 2013 season for the ALMS.

No lost of interest, just not a lot of news now that it's in production.

It will be in the next season of Top Gear w/ the Vanquish & LF-A. The question is who of the 3 will behind the wheel.

Going off Twitter, Clarkson's been attempting to max out the LF-A. I assume May will be in the Aston, with Hamster in the Viper.

If it "rains" again when it's time for the lap I will boycott Top Gear.

I wonder if Clarkson gets it, will he do the same review for the third time?

Ugh, can't wait till they have these in dealerships... I want to drool at it in the flesh...

It's been on the show a couple times now with the review on Episode 7 of Season 14 done by Hammond, iirc.

I haven't really followed Top Gear since season 15 anymore. I kind of got the impression Hammond liked the LFA, but you wouldn't want to be driving in one because it was an embarrassing car due to the Lexus badge. Which is why I never took that review 100% seriously.

2013 SRT Viper goes up for order(starts at $97,395), has a top speed of 206 mph

World Car Fans
Power is provided by an 8.4-liter V10 engine that produces 640 hp (477 kW / 649 PS) and 600 lb-ft (814 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed manual transmission which enables the 3,354 lbs (1,521 kg) sports car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in the "low 3-second range," run the quarter-mile in the "mid 11-second range" and hit a top speed of 206 mph (331 km/h). If that's not impressive enough, the model can go from 0-100-0 mph in less than 12 seconds.

The old (2003) car 0-100-0 was 12.17, so I wonder how much improvement was made. I don't doubt that it's a large improvement, but under 12 is sort of a "duh"estimate.

It's also interesting that despite more power and better aero, the top speed is only up 4 mph over the 2008 car. 202 mph for the 2008 was probably a nonsense number.

I also wonder how hard it would be to get a base car with a GTS hood. I bet the GTS hood is more aerodynamic, if only slightly.

The messed around with the gearing a lot for this one. Maybe that is why the top speed only changed a little. Don't see how the old Viper would have problems with 202 either.

The 2008 had mediocre aero, and in MT's top speed test it was the farthest off % wise from top speed out of 4 cars around their high speed track, though that's not exactly conclusive.

The 08 also couldn't reach peak power in 5th, settling at somewhere around 550. The 13 doesn't peak in 6th either (gearing goes up to 235), but it has a ~40 hp advantage and only needs about 93% of the power to reach the same top speed as the 08.

I don't know, they seem kind of close all things considered.

SRT-10. The ACR wouldn't hit 200 mph even if it had rocket engines.

The ACR top speed was Drag limited more because of the Areo Kit. the other problem with the Last gen viper was that its 6th gear was really wide so it hits top speed in 5th. barley hits 6th. atleast in video games lol
