Um, I'm sorry for waking up this thread, but...

I'm in LOOOOOOOOVE!!!! :embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed:

Good lord I want to see those go head-to-head with the C7.R ASAP.

Dammit, Ford. Please give us an appropriately quick Mustang GTE car next year...

It says 'Dodge' but something doesn't look right...

Lack of 'Cross-hair' grille, maybe?
I've been putting Dodge logos all over them since Forza 4 had them as DLC. They look Dodge enough to me, but it might be because I've been thinking of them that way all the time. I also find the back end of the car the strong point rather than the front. Those angles aren't helping the strange headlights.

This is still my least favorite livery though. I should start a petition to change Dodge's color to blue.

I'm looking forward to seeing it there with the new livery against the C7.R and the rest of the crew.

I love the GTS road car in the original blue with white stripes. But I think bringing back the classic red with white stripes racing livery is awesome. I like the red alot more than the white car with blue and red accents. Blue with white stripes would be badass though.

I think this is how the car should have been debuted from the start instead of that grey/yellow or blue livery it had. Classic throwback to 2000 winners, but I would have preferred the 1998/1999 livery they first took the title home with (right above this post).

Don't know if they ever did have a race car in blue with white stripes, but Oreca did run this livery in 1996.

 My 2nd favorite livery.

Anyway, I could've swore I saw a blue with white stripe GTS-R viper picture before. I just need to find the website I saw it on again.

EDIT: Found it, it was under the Chamberlain Engineering Racing Team.

If only they would officially call the Ram a Dodge again. Either way I'm still calling it the Dodge Ram.

If I had to guess, this would be the "base" model, one meant for general purpose use moreso than the T/A or GTS. Not sure about the color, it doesn't work for me in bright daylight.

There is already a base car. I'd guess it might be a more luxury focused version (GT = GTS - S and S = sport). But if that's the case I don't know where that leaves the GTS because unless they handicap the GT it's not going to be any slower.

I was referring more to how the original GTS was a sports model while the current GTS is a GT car-ish model while what is now called the GT is the closest thing to the original GTS.

The reason for that is because back when the GTS was introduced, it was the only version of the hard top Viper, you either bought it or the RT/10 roadster. I won't be surprised if the long name for this was '2015 Dodge Viper GTS GT', as I seem to remember this being announced as the Viper GTS when they unveiled it.

So GT is the everyman version, if there is a separate GTS trim, it would be next, then maybe T/A, and the street legal topper would be the SRT, with a road going GTS-R being the exception.

Let me tell you something. I was SO awed seeing the simple red with white stripe Vipers at the Six Hours at the Glen earlier today. It was like seeing the late 1990s and early 2000s again when Team Oreca rocked these colors. More people liked the white/red/blue colors of the 1998 (or so) Vipers, but as I mentioned on Twitter- "sometimes, simple is beautiful." Those red with white stripe Vipers were beautiful. Only thing sweeter would have been if these modern Vipers had the same kind of extra lighting system as those classic Oreca Vipers.

As for the notion of blue with white stripes, I would certainly approve of that since blue is my favorite color. I do remember seeing some Vipers that were blue with white stripes that raced at Le Mans in the mid-late 1990s.

Nostalgia, done right, can be beautiful.
