Alot of the car info is wrong in the descriptions. If you read the info on some of the dodge ram 1500, they state that trucks are popular in the us to be modded like cars or something. Some of the older fairlady Zs stating they are 300zx in the states *i think the 240z and 280z said this*. 80's nissan 240rs stating its based on the 240sx in the states *should be a 200sx in the states*

i think they will keep improving the game with patches..

I bought F1 2010 on pc and that game needs improvements, but it seems like they dropped the ball and already working on other projects. Hell even forza would just start on a new one,. GT is a commitment to continue it, since it already took this long to develop it.

I did not even load the first patch for F12010... It´s too stupid to race against predefined times and much more stupid things in that game... Anyway, was fun for 2 weeks...

looks like we're diggn deep! some interesting finds gents!!

@ Hypertek: right?! premium MA70 but standard JZA80?? big let down for my favorite inline 6 :boggled:

personally, i am an optimist rather than pessimist and wish to gear this thread with the intentions to be heard by PD and have them address these issues coming from valid enthusiast... instead of ranting and whining, being seen as brats, we are here to help make the game better!! 👍

this happened to me today: i have (or had, to be correct) a quite heavily tuned Clio Renault Sport V26 24V '00 Premium Car and took it to the special mission rally beginner event. i had to turn off some of the engine tuning options to be able to meet the restrictions and went for gold in all three challenges.
so far so good, but when i got back to my garage i wanted to change the transmission value and all my tuning options were gone except for the dirt and snow tires... :yuck:

I think this thread is a great idea provided we can keep it constructive. I know it's probably too much work but maybe you can document and update your original first post with legitimate glitches/bugs that ppl report in bullet point form? That way we can keep track of all of them and if indeed PD do look they can get a good easy report.

* Toyota Supra 1988 premium car does not show the pop up headlights when using the interior view (like the MX5 does for example)

* Chromeline cars are meant to have Racing(hard) tyres however it feels like they have been placed into a freezer for a day.

* Interior sound is biased about 90 engine/10 exhaust where it should be about 60/40

Will post more as i discover them.

Ever been in an actual _A70 Supra? Unless you're very tall (that is, how far your eye level is above the hood/dash), you most likely won't see the tops of the pop-up headlights because of the way the nose of the car is curved and how low you sit in the car. Same goes for the Z31 300ZX (my first car IRL), which sadly isn't a premium model here.

The premium model of the '91 Acura NSX has the taillights from the '02+ NSXs (only the taillights are wrong, nothing else). Standard version of the '91 NSX looks correct.

Strange thing is that this model was perfect in GT5: Prologue.

I've been fuming over the fact that only the '91 NSX and '02 NSX-R are premium models...especially because there weren't significant exterior or interior differences between the '91-'01 model years...and the major cosmetic differences are already modeled for the premium '02 NSX-R anyway. Someone couldn't quickly knock out a Type S emblem?

Yes it is.

I have the GT5 Joey Logano car and in the description his name is correctly posted only once, the first time.
The other times (2-3 ?) it is posted as Logan.

That's it.

Yes there are too many standard models that also come with a Premium model. PD went with the quantity over quality route.

I can no longer get into the museum. Day one I could enter on the 1.01 update. After the 1.02 update all I get is a black screen and the cursor. All I can do is press circle to go back to the menu.

the game does not pause when controller battery dies, i lost a 24 second lead on the tarmac rally on inter mode grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

ALL MY CARS disappeared!!

I got done spending a bunch of cash on modding my '10 Camaro SS and did the A-spec pro muscle car race at Laguna and won the race, then went back to check used car inventory and NONE of the car models showed up. They were just not there.

Everything was normal except the car model wasn't there at all. Then I went into the new car dealers.... same thing! WTH!? So I exited out and came here to report it. Hopefully they will show up after I reboot the game.

That's a HUGE bug... I haven't read every single post here in this thread but I have read most.. I didn't see that bug reported. I hope my GT5 isnt fubar.

Can I reinstall GT5 somehow without losing all my progress in the game?

Not gonna say how, but I found a pretty easy money glitch on accident. Not gonna use it though, its pretty cheap and not the GT way.

EDIT: Funny coincidence though, Sold a standard Ford Mustang GT '05 light blue that I won as a prize car and then i went and checked the used car lot and the exact same car, color and such was in there. I don't think it actually works this way, but quite a funny coincidence.

after finishing the high speed ring in the aspec professional supercar race, nothing happens. my car drives itself 50mph and the overall timer continues to tick, but i have no control, pause menu or way out. even when i try to quit GT5 from the PS3 menu, it takes about 3 minutes just to get to the system menu.

When tuning a transmission (by setting the top speed) it lists the top speed with units of MPH, but the value is way off (i.e. when you drive the car you only get about 2/3 that speed before hitting the rev limiter), probably the value actually has units of KPH (i.e. when selecting imperial units the 'kph' turns to 'mph' but the value is not adjusted accordingly).

Don´t know if its already posted so... some cars have the wrong power unit... in my case it should be PS (HP) but its often kW.. so the nissan gtr has 470 kW or something like that.. i saw this when i was hosting an server and choosed some cars who are allowed to race, dont know if its in the normal garage too...

In the italian version there is a translation error. While driving, you can modify some options like drive ads. The ASM selection is inverted. If you select "NO" it is active. If you select "YES" it is turned off.

This isn't really a bug, but the AI seem to just hit you and spin you out on some races just to stay on the line.

Had this with the nascar championship, is making me crazy they want to take you out it seems and they don't even care if they go off too. Or the A.i is immensely stupid at a level 21 race. if I have to do the championship for a 3rd time because they took me out of championship contention oh man im gonna flip out.

For instance the last race at daytona i'm running in the top 3 waiting to make my move and i get punted on lap 2, not just punted but pushed against the wall with no way to continue beacuse they are still accellerating and have pinned me there lol, meanwhile the pack moves 1/2 a lap ahead and theres no option to restart a single race in this championship.

Sorry had to vent that one lol

Haven't got time to trawl through and see if this has been posted:

MINI Cooper S '07 - in interior view, the rev counter is out of sync with the gauge provided by the game, so whilst hitting the limiter at 7k rpm, the dashboard only shows 6k rpm, with some way before the red line. 6k actual is shown as 5k, but idle is about right.

Also, despite having a full tank, the dashboard shows only 3 lights of the fuel gauge lit up (more lit up = more fuel) - although I realise that moving fuel gauges aren't included in the game.

I dunno if anyone mentioned this, you can't c tire smoke from ur rear view mirror. At least on my R8 i can't. Nothing serious tho.

Special Events lost some info:

Managed to get into the Intermediate Rally events and already had an eligible car in the garage which i was in.

Whilst completing these events i leveled up to the acceptable level to enter the GT Tour (is that right?) event where you have to do different things in a selection of cars touring down through italy (really enjoyed that apart from the night race).

So i completed the rally event and without leaving the special events menu went into the gt tour, completed that, saved, then today i can see that i have trophies in gt tour but it shows as not completing the rally events and i received nothing from getting all golds in the rally, as if i never entered it...

dont mind doing it again but a little odd... saving after each type of event now

I don't know if this counts as a 'bug' but…

…probably more of a 'glitch'
