TGTT, British Lighweight series. Bspeced it earlier. Last lap and my car came to the point where the track crosses of itself and bear in mind i was in 1st by a mile. I hit an AI car right where the track crosses, spun me out and immediately when to 12th place!?!?!

I didn't go through all 22 pages of the thread.

But I did find an interesting glitch.

Notice that on the '54 corvette convertible that the description is clearly the description of the chevrolet silverado

I'm sure the headlights have been mentioned but they are all but useless right now(Grand Tour night race)

This is one that is definitely a bug. When converting the Z06 (C6) to a race car it no longer has a back end when in Cockpit View. its just like the view from bumper cam, no "rest of the car" back there.

That's because the race car that the racing modification takes inspiration from, the C6R, has no rear view to look out from. The C6R has a camera I think inside that provides the rear view. It would've been wise, and cool, if PD had included a small tv screen in the interior that showed the rear view.

Edit: @xeoreg: No problem 👍

Sorry if this is a dupe, will keep it brief. Slowly lining up for the expert tarmac rally stage, the Beetle RSI in front of me before the start line slowly turns a right angle to the right, before it starts, then straightens up. Closer to my turn, my car started to do the same, straightened, then did the sideways "slide" mentioned before, just before I was able to start.

Oh and the timings on those stages are so out of whack. I show as 3-4 seconds in the lead at the first check point, and still a big lead through the remaining checkpoints, then often finish a couple of seconds down from the leader, having not made any errors. Where is the leader finding 5 or more seconds right at the end?

A new one (which actually saved me about 100,000 cr).

I tuned my 91 skyline to the hilt, and found I had no races it was eligible for left. In anger I quit to the XMB.

Now when exiting the tuning shop, it said "Saving..." so I was sure I had wasted my CRs.
Now I fired up the game again a little later, and I had gotten my money back and my car was not tuned anymore, so it hadn't been saved.

So either the "Saving..." isn't really "Saving..." but even more "Loading...", or there is a bug there that causes the game to forget what it saved.

I'm sure pressing the save button in the menu would have saved my tuning for sure.

Yes your right the C6R does use a camera. I had forgotten about that.

I've noticed this one as well. A good example of it saying "Saving" when it means "Loading" is the first time it appears: just after the message that says "GT5 uses autosaves, do not turn off..." (or words to that effect), so before anything has loaded. in V1.0 (and 1.01, I think), it tended to say "Installing" when it meant "Loading".

Last time I tried to play (Tuesday morning), it wouldn't load until I turned off my PS3's link to the internet. Annoying.

I don't know wether this is a bug or due to PS3's small memory

But if you set say a race exhaust in your garage and go to the track, it will sound as it is, but if you change back to stock exhaust in the settings page while on the track screen, the sound won't change. And vice versa stock to race.

When you exit back out and then go back in, the sound changes...

i had similar went into the last stage of the intermediate dirt stage near enough level with 1st place, drove like an absolute hero and got beaten by 5 seconds :ouch:

Something i think needs amending is that the Rally Navigator instructions are mostly always too late in being read out. They should be said well in advance of even seeing the next corner. So nearly useless co-driving at present.

Race converted the ZR1 and the motor has shrunk somehow lol 6.2L now instead of 7.0L very disappointing.

the c4 zr1 is a dohc 5.7

the c6 zr1 is a 6.2l with a 2.2L supercharger

the Zo6 uses the LS7 7.0

so the zr1 was 6.2 from the start

The Jaguar XJ13 '66 isn't eligible for the european classic series (1979 and earlier).

What a mess.

Well you may be speaking of the Chromeline version. Yes for some reason that one isn't eligible. I don't have the cash to spend on the one at the dealership to see if it is just that the Chromeline one isn't

GT5 froze after getting gold on License IB-9, forced to turn off and PS no longer recognises discs (Game, Bluray or DVD), maybe coincidental but PS3 is now in for assess/repair.......

.....game has so many issues they should be offering refunds......

Edit - Ok, upon further review it wasn't much of a glitch. Never mind! The shifting animation looked off to me in the race modified Vette & Viper. After watching the replay the driver's hand is on the shifter but he's only using the very bottom of his hand, making it look like his hand was shifting "air" when I was driving in the cockpit view.. still throws me off. My bad!

When in photo travel mode and you turn the wheel left or right the wheel inside the car doesnt change its position, especially its noticable on cabriolets.

You can also proceed where you has left, e.g. I am doing a championship with 5 events, I complete 2 and then leave, when I come back I have to begin from the beginning.

Inside of the wheel (rim) is not modeled at all - its just flat rubber.

We need tuning button like a garage button in the event lobby - so if I see that the performance of my car is too weak to proceed competing, I just leave the even and have that damn button at my disposal, and dont have to go back to home screen.

PS and yes, when I had g25 I also encountered the problem with 2nd gear!!!

I paid $725,000 for a Morrison Corvette 1960 only to find out it can't be used in classic car races (pre-69 or pre-80s).

Not happy.:grumpy:

Could anyone confirm if the pilot use the paddle shifters ?

I saw a youtube video where the pilot was driving a Ferrari F430 but instead of using the paddles he used an imaginary gear shift ....
