So, Get this....On the Classic Muscle Car Races and Supercar Nostalgia Races.....You need a car that's either '79, '80 or older. So I bought the 1970 Ford Mustang Trans-Cammer. I go to enter these races....it says I need a car that's older than 1979 or 1980........IT SAYS IT IN THE TITLE....1970!!!!

This is such a stupid game. I just dropped a ton of coin to make this car work and I can't use it for the races I bought it for.

I consider it a bug that the game doesn't remember my A-spec settings when I switch between modes. When I let my B-spec bumbler play bumper cars for a few races, the next time I race A-spec the transmission is set to automatic. Annoying.

Thanks for posting this! I had no idea why automatic was being selected, now it makes sense...

I believe someone else mentioned that is because it's a modern-tuned car. Although it doesn't explain the fact that its older than '79  Glitch? YES. Sorry dude, but maybe these will get addressed in an update?

There are quite a few cars like that. Another is the 1966 Cobra. Something needs to be done about that. It sucks when guys like me and the guy above that dropped coin on the 1960 Morrison and the Jag....we lose money cause we can't race it.

Yup, I have exactly the same problem with my 1960 Morrison Corvette.

This better get fixed in the next patch, I don't feel like grinding to earn another ~$700k just to do the classic races (which I'm guessing will give some pretty crappy cars as a 'prize')

^^Those SEMA tuned cars are not from the 60's and 70's, they're modern cars, built a few years ago. They may use bodyframes and parts similar or reproduced from original 70's and 60's cars, but they were still built from the ground up recently.

It's the same situation as the Mini Cooper 1.3i - even though the styling and everything is the same as it was in the 60's, the car was built in '98. Hence, it's a '98 model.

A trans-cammer was never an option in the 60's, the morrison corvette was never built back then either, so they aren't classic cars. Age restrictions on races refer to build dates, not whether the car looks like one from the 60's or 70's.

In all honesty, why would you want to use such an overpowered car against real cars from the 60's and 70's anyway? where's the fun in that?

Well as a non car expert, it's a bit of a kick in the pants to spend all my money on a hot looking tuned Corvette '60' only to discover I can't use it in classic races.

Yeah, I can understand the confusion, but I still wouldn't consider it a glitch - it's the way it's supposed to be :)

I had a problem where i wanted a break before a race started so left it running at the the menu just before starting, the screen that has the start flag button ready to begin the race. After a few moments my G25 starts steering itself randomly and erratically, it wouldn't stop so i had to start the race then pause it to have some peace.

There is a glitch with the GT Auto wings on the Taurus SHO. The game gives you the three wing options but, when you select them they won't show up on the car.

The horn doesn't work in the Gallardo, Tesla, and I-MiEV. Also, the 1970 Challenger's headlights are flawed.

The horn afaik also didn't work on the Mercedez SLK car (forgot its name) in intermediate AMG (Nurburgring) special event

Talking of horns it appears the horn doesn't work in the Citroen WRC car, may also be the case for other rally cars? As fas as i'm aware the FIA rules are that rally cars have to be road legal and therefore have to have a working horn.

1. The Toyota Prius Spedometer on the Dashboard on the in car view resets at zero when you get to 125mph or so then starts all over. (for example at 130mph it says you are going like 8kph on the spedo)

2. All the non Turbo Mitsubishi 3000GT's and GTO's are 4WD. They should be FF since all non turbo models were FF. IN all previous GT games they got it right.

3. The Bugatti Veyron is considered a French car. It is actually a German car since it is manufactured by Volkswagen (they bought the Bugatti name)

All I have noticed so far.

so... all my competition just disappeared, bumped me from 2nd to 1st, and then spawned about 30 seconds behind me.

also, a low level 340hp car some how was able to maintain 1st/2nd through 4 wet laps on the lvl 22 GT race.

i have no way to record and upload the replay, but im going to try and save the actual replay file and upload that.

*update to that. now that ive seen the replay, the entire field pitted, all 11 cars, at once.

*update #2. holy hell, talk about massive rubber banding. i had assumed it was happening before, but never realized the extent. so, at lap 4 i lost it in a turn and #2 over took me. suddenly hes 5 seconds ahead of me by the first check point. lap times go from 2:16 to 2:10. after the entire field pits, some of these cars shave off 30 seconds a lap. #2 (previous #1 before he pitted) went from a best time of 2:10 to 2:02. #12 went from 2:35 to 2:05 as soon as he came out of the pits.

*update #3. heres the replay files. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DIKV310C. copy the entire contents of the zip folder to your thumb drive, and then transfer to your ps3s saved data section. that SHOULD let you watch the replay in your replay theater..... i hope.

Overpowered??? try historical car challenge, and you are going to find out that they are very fast.

I dont know if this is gt5 bug or ps3 bug, I also encountered it with bfbc2. So when you play the game and your controller battery is dead, you plug in to charge and continue playing, when the charge is done you unplug the damn usb cable, cause you want to sit on the couch not on the floor, but the controller cannot connect to ps3.

You answered your own question

Once you dis-connect your controller from charging you need to press the PS button again. If that's not the case, could you explain in a little more depth what you're talking about?

Im running on 1920x1080 (1080i) HDMI for my PS3, and im noticing a lot of tear. This could be because of a low refresher rate on my TV or it could be due to the graphics.

Also, I don't understand how the Gallardo LP 560 can possibly beat/keep up with 3 murcielago LP 640's. (This is during the Lamborghini only race, the level 13 event).

And one more thing, during the Rally special events, on the Ice event, I was using my MRS-S edition with 236 BHP, I was able to reach 270 KMPH on the ice track, now in my opinion, that's just a little bit un-realistic.

Bought dirt tyres and installed it, right away baught snow tires without installation because I was supposed to take dirt challenge before snow challenge, and snow tyre dissapear, where is it now, I bought it!!!!

I didnt answer my question, the point is that I KNOW!!! that you need to press PS button for PS3 to find a controller, but when you READ ABOVE, it doesnt work, you can play only with usb hooked on!

I've found an annoying error. The 1998 Mini Cooper is classified as German, when it is actually British. I know that this error can be corrected because the Focus ST is classified as European despite being from an American manufacturer, so it should be easy to rectify the Mini's nationality.

^New Minis are manufactured b BMW, but I agree that they should be classified as British.

Top Gear Test Track Confusion:
Using B-Spec mode on the TGTT, I very often am struck by a car going the other way where the track crosses over. The B-spec driver somehow gets back on the track behind the other cars, and is all of a sudden in last place, as if a whole lap was taken away. Having a very hard time beating the British lightweight challenge with a McLaren F1 Stealth Model, which doesn't make sense.

Apparently, after switching the tires for the B-spec races, you can no longer change them back in the tuning menu, you have to do it in the driver options menu before a race.

I should have clarified a bit better, I meant the classic Mini. (which is listed as a '98 model). I don't mind the new MINI being classified as German (since they're made by BMW) but the '98 Mini should be classified as British. (since it was manufactured by Rover). It's a small error but one that stops the classic model being used in 'British Lightweights' in the Professional series.

They should just leave the cars from the country of origin of the marque rather than who owns it or where they are made.

No. The base model of 3000GT was FF. The SL/SR were AWD.

Uhh............. Your completely wrong.

http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=917152&highlight=list+differences

The only models that had 4WD were the Turbo models (the VR4) all other models (SL and Base) had FF only

Love when people post on topics they have no idea what they are talking about.

Quote from the website if u are lazy:

Mitsubishi entered the sports-car arena with its new 2+2 sport coupe. All trims came standard with a 3.0L 24-valve DOHC V6 (6G72). The Base and SL were FWD, non-turbo. The flagship VR-4 had AWD, AWS, and a twin-turbo engine with dual intercoolers.

When I did the 4 Hour Roadster Endurance Race at Tsukuba, my pit crew must have missed their flight because they didn't show up. My pits were empty ... no one visible ... but thankfully, the tires magically changed themselves and Claude Raines took over as the refueler (the Invisible Man for those born after 1960) :sly:

Come to think of it, I didn't see any animations in pit lane from any of the other teams as well.
