General San Andreas Discussion and Questions

here is another question where do you get your pilots liceanse(sp) do you unlock it from a mission or do you go to the airport in los santos

You have to purchase the aircraft graveyard, which is in the middle of the desert, west of Las Venturas. That's where the tests are carried out. Sounds like you still have a few ways to go before you get there though.

There's a pilot's school that you have to complete as part of the plot which gives you your license, but it's not until very far into the game. But you can get your pilot's license early by sneaking into the airport and stealing a plane. The more you fly, the better you get and you'll eventually get your license.

However, the airports are locked until you get your license. To get in there's a few different ways. Some people have said you can stunt in using a bike and a packer, some have climbed onto high vehicles and climbed over the fence. I found out that if you crash into the gate on a motorbike and fall off, the gates will open when you're getting back on the bike.

When I was sneaking into San Fierro airport, I found that nearly all the planes were locked apart from the Maverick helicopter. I don't know what planes are unlocked in Los Santos at the start.

When you have your license, the airports are unlocked and you can access planes and the runways without having to sneak in over the fence.

Well the flower in LS is near the hot dot stand...in santa maria beach
And the dildo, well I don't remember but it's in the suburban area of LV.

Inside the shower in the police station for the dildo. The flowers are in a bunch of spots. Play the game and you find them.

(sigh) I miss the old fart and burp button in the original GTA, imagine how much funnier it'd be to have the fart and burp button back in SA.

I may be gullible but you could?

Bryce302 - I'm going to say this ONCE.

DO NOT double post. Use the Edit button to add things you think of later on. At the moment you look like you've got ADHD.
DO NOT ask stupid questions which have already been answered in the same thread. People aren't paid to help you - they do it because they're nice. If you use the Search feature you can help yourself out.
DO NOT get all testy when your inane questions haven't been answered after 26 minutes.

Merry Christmas.

Haha. Blake made a funny silhouette with one yesterday.

Bryce302 -- I haven't been online until now, but reading through your previous posts, you're on the verge of a warning. I'm just going over what Famine said, but I thought it might be good to have a little input.

Be patient when waiting for an answer to a question. Realise that just because you are online, everyone else isn't. Also realise that not everyone can answer your questions.

If you have something else to add, please use the Edit button. It looks like this:

There are a few things to look at with your attitude and posting. Read through the links in my signature. Especially the AUP. It should give you a guide on how to act.

Anyway, back to the discussion.

So much to do in SA for me still...I just finished the storyline the other day....I don't if I can keep up the love of the game enough to do all of the other stuff, I am getting too many new games for X-mas

I'm pretty sure ALL the planes are locked at SF initially(but I could be wrong)

@ LS airport
Dodo & Private jet (I forget the name of it) are unlocked from the start

The giant jet airliner in the hanger at Las Venturas is unlocked from the start also.

Ya it was a hilarious feature in GTA1 I don't know if it was carried on in GTA2 but I believe the R2 button was used as a fart and burp buttom. Man, did I have fun walking down the street shooting at people while farting and burping.

Hey Mediaman, how'd the DDR-type missions go? Haven't heard from you in a while.
Trying not to let that dumb mission effect my enjoyment of the game. (I can just manage to get two attempts in per game night)
Got a AR code that stops you getting wanted stars so I can do other stuff on the rest of the map though.
I have managed to find all the photo locations collect lots of Horseshoes, and unique jumps. I did all the R3 Taxi missions while in Las Venturas (the city is the most compact and has the least confusing road system), unfortunately (and a bit oddly) you can't do any of the other R3 missions in 'unopened' city's, non of the targets spawn? I have also discovered that the garage you get when you go to San Fierro in the story-line is usable before the roadblocks clear, does anyone know if you get a similar place when Las Venturas opens up, or do you have to buy all the property over there?

I also found that you can get a boat in to your garage (but you cant get it out) at the Los Santos beachfront safe-house (got a load of cash though the betting shop and bought this cos it's the one nearest the dumb DDR mission.). If you drive any of the faster boats up the beach, they don't stop until they hit a solid object high enough to hit the top of the bow. The boat will 'jump' over lower stuff (like the low wall behind the beach) If you are lucky with the alignment it will slide right in to the garage. :D

Whoa, I just totally noticed today, of the absence of the reverse lights on the cars, I wonder why R* took 'em out? Now it reminds of GT3....

You collect the Police Bribes, which are little gold star icons. They can be found in various places around San Andreas, usually alleyways.

They were in the previous two GTA games, and possibly before those (although my memory becomes a little hazy when it comes to GTA 1, London: 1969 and 2.

Police Bribes have been in every GTA game.

And you don't 'give' the bribe to a police officer, if you have a wanted level, drive through one (or walk/fly/whatever) and your wanted level will go down by 1 star.

About the reverse lights, I ntocied this too, but it doesn't really bother me. I'm just glad the lights look good, on the previous games the 'cubes' of light were very obvious, in this they don't seem to exist.
