V1.01 changed the Comfort tyre sounds, sounds like fingernails on a blackboard! :scared:

Amost sounds like a glitch, as you can hear the proper tyre noise under that screech

So after 15 years, they´ve managed to get sound of one particular set of tyres somewhat right, while ...... up the sound of the other ones. This is getting sad..I don´t even want to complain anymore.. it´s like picking up on a person while not knowing it and finding out later on

Mod Edit: Let's not say "retarded" again under any circumstance.

Seriously, lol. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Exactly my thoughts on the MKIV Supra STILL not being a Premium car. After being SHOCKED and AWED at GT5 not having it Premium, then i assured myself that GT6 would correct that mistake. And... looks like they sure as hell didn't.

Great job, Polyphony. At this rate, we'll get proper sound MAYBE, by Gran Turismo 9.

The C6 Vettes sound like ASS! The SRT Viper '13 shocked me in all the wrong ways. I couldn't believe what i was hearing.

I don't understand how they operate, at all. I mean seriously. Stop and think about it. You're there, analyzing the interior of the car, and you don't have it start up, and go up and down the RPM range for just a minute to record the sound to get a sample? I, i don't understand..

Just looking at a few of the direct feed vids that are out now and I honestly struggle to hear any difference from GT4 never mind GT5. Even the sounds that play during the three second count down are the exact same. There would be nothing wrong with having such nostalgic touches if the rest of the game hadn't also changed so little.

I like the new tire noise, a bit too loud but on gt5 it was too boring 👍

If genocide could be described with a sound, I imagine this would be it.

And i thought blackboard scratching was good :D Like seriously..how they can even manage to let something like this to the public.

Main sound guy, who got our ears to bleed for 15 years and who we thought could not surprise us anymore, strikes again!
Hey @Jordan You should like seriously consider intv. this man when You get a chance because if he´s not trolling..

And here i was, EXCITED to sample the performance of the SRT Viper. And after i heard a video, i couldn't believe it. Hopefully, it at least sounds good with other exhausts. What a DISASTER.

No, a disaster is hurricane Katrina or the tsunami that hit japan. Having engine sounds that you think aren't right is just being pedantic. How do you define "perfect"? Does it make your ears bleed? Would it make you have a "crisis" if they were in fact, "perfect"? In real life driving a zonda would give you goose bumps I'm sure, but here's the thing, it's a game, a pretend sound, it's not real.

Now I have that off my chest, time to go and do some more moon races !

Now i'm trying to figure out how this post contributes to the thread...

These engine sounds aren't sounds we "think" aren't right. They are 100% INCORRECT. Every person with a brain knows an 8.0L V10 doesn't sound like a sewing machine. It's deep, aggressive, and violent sounding.

How do you define perfect?

1/1 sound as in real life. And it's very doable, might i add.

That's unfair. It is a perfectly legitimate complaint to be unsatisfied with the sounds - they are unacceptable in this day and age. It is a game, yes, but it doesn't mean we should be forced to be satisfied with what we are given. Particularly when PD does something like giving the Huayra the same sample as the V10 Gallardo - is that really acceptable?

Contrary to what many on this forum seem to imply, people who complain on this board don't hate GT - we want it to be improved for the good of the series.

I hope the retail version of the Lexus LFA sounds different. From the launch trailer video, the LFA sounds exactly like the Williams F1 in iRacing.

You are being deliberately obtuse to prove your point, and failed in doing so. Nobody expects "perfect", we desire realism. We want cars that sound remotely like their real life counterparts, not like something synthesized 15 years ago on a Commodore 64. Other games that cost a tiny fraction of GT or haven't even been released yet, have sounds that make GT engine sounds look like a sad joke. Even when they have some decent V8 or V12 samples to work with, they can't seem to even get the cylinder count right on a lot of cars.

One of my first few novice races with the Honda Fit, at Brands Hatch, was day dreaming and crashed :)

Damage is mostly dents and scuffs
Had Sports Hards and stiffer suspension upgrade, plus wheel upgrade - that's all.

Sports hard tyres sound OK
Crash sounds are quite varied depending on how you hit - but that hollow thump is still there

Sorry Johnny, i disagree. I have played since the GT2 days, and yes there are some cars that could be better, but in essence the sounds are fine.

I just think that some are being a little to dramatic over something that I think is ok. If there is a car you don't like the sound of, get another car! There is plenty to choose from.

Anyway, in my experience there hasn't been any cars that I have thought " that sounds so bad I won't drive that again, I'm outraged!"

That said, I did start a thread expressing my desire for a livery editor ! Go figure !

Looks like I may need to bring back the sound fix videos.

Any requests? :sly:

For real...

This has been an epidemic in GT, and it must be rectified within the first year of GT6's release. Preferrably within the next 6 months. It's inexcusable.

Is there sound on the moon? :D

ROFLMAO!! Not picking it up than, Ill just eventually pick up a ps4 and some battlefield 4 will do it for me. Don't find anything else interesting for now.

Yeah, why don't they use a currently existing good V8 sound sample (they do exist in 5 at least) for the upgraded exhausts of some V8 cars, instead of the samples that sound like garbage? Upgradeable exhausts should be something that they have some creative control over, no? Why make the car sound worse when people upgrade it?

It's almost like they don't want some cars to sound like they have the correct number of cylinders. :boggled:
