Actually the Vipers with stock exhausts sound fairly similar to their real life counterpartsMaybe similar to Shift 2 but nothing close to the real thing.

Seems like Comfort tyres sound different from Sports, which sound different from Slicks
Comfort hards
That video was taken at the Ronda launch event, where they were running some kind of 1.01 build.Gtplanet has the 1.01 patch since they released the amg vision video...
what about the other cars?
I am waiting for a list of changes of patch 1.01
V1.01 changed the Comfort tyre sounds, sounds like fingernails on a blackboard!
So after 15 years, they´ve managed to get sound of one particular set of tyres somewhat right, while ...... up the sound of the other ones. This is getting sad..I don´t even want to complain anymore.. it´s like picking up on a retarded person while not knowing it and finding out later on

Amost sounds like a glitch, as you can hear the proper tyre noise under that screech
If genocide could be described with a sound, I imagine this would be it.
No, a disaster is hurricane Katrina or the tsunami that hit japan. Having engine sounds that you think aren't right is just being pedantic. How do you define "perfect"? Does it make your ears bleed? Would it make you have a "crisis" if they were in fact, "perfect"? In real life driving a zonda would give you goose bumps I'm sure, but here's the thing, it's a game, a pretend sound, it's not real.
Now I have that off my chest, time to go and do some more moon races !

You are being deliberately obtuse to prove your point, and failed in doing so. Nobody expects "perfect", we desire realism. We want cars that sound remotely like their real life counterparts, not like something synthesized 15 years ago on a Commodore 64. Other games that cost a tiny fraction of GT or haven't even been released yet, have sounds that make GT engine sounds look like a sad joke. Even when they have some decent V8 or V12 samples to work with, they can't seem to even get the cylinder count right on a lot of cars. No, a disaster is hurricane Katrina or the tsunami that hit japan. That has to be fake. I've heard c64 games with better sound effects.
