Race 1 Extreme | Race 2 LCQ

Race 1

Lap 1 - WalrusKart - CarboyXJR - Chuck1551 - Avoidable Contact
Verdict: After the launch from the grid WalrusKart moves over to the left and then dives onto the dirt straight across onto the track causing a ripple affect through CarboyXJR and Chuck1551 taking both cars off

Lap 1 - Stormtrooper2178 - Chuck1551 - Racing incident
Verdict: NFA After an off track excision Stormtrooper2178 rejoins to an out of control Chuck resulting in a bit of pushing and pumping.

Lap 2 - CarboyXJR - Stormtrooper2178 - Racing incident
Verdict: NFA Something that could have been avoided with a bit braking and steering, Stormtrooper goes wide onto the dirt and is helped into a spin by CarboyXJR, something that could have been avoided but nothing malicious.

Lap 5 - CarboyXJR - Exceeding track limits
Verdict: A clear cut across the track that was nothing to do with loss of control or an inability to make the corner resulting in a pass on another competitor.

Lap 5 - WalrusKart - CarboyXJR - Avoidable Contact
Verdict: After exceeding track limits WalrusKart then proceeds to hit CarboyKJR of the track going into the final turn.

Race 2 LCQ

Lap 1 - Stormtrooper2178 - Chuck1551 - Racing incident
Verdict: NFA After going off, the rejoin caused contact with Chuck which resulted in a pass being made.

Lap 1 - Stormtrooper2178 - Chuck1551 - Racing Incident
Verdict: NFA Although contact was caused it was more in reaction to Chucks spin

Lap 2 - Chuck1551- Stormtrooper2178 - Racing incident
Verdict: NFA In a identical incident to lap one with role reversal Chuck goes off and bumps into stormtrooper, the bumping afterwards was a bit unnecessary.

Lap 2 - Chuck1551 - Exceeding track limits
Verdict: In the heat of battle it is always important to stay within the track limits, after the hit from stormtrooper there was still plenty of time to return to the track, but gaining time out of track limits will only incur a penalty.

Lap 2 - CarboyXJR - Exceeding track limits
Verdict: As race one, the line leading up to the final corner is not straight across the dirt, this is viewed as gaining time out of track limits.

Lap 3 - CarboyXJR - Bigtexlpfan97 - Avoidable Contact
Verdict: There was plenty of racing room for both cars and Bigtexlpfan97 was far enough along side, the resulting contact was not necessary, even if Bigtexlpfan97 had been more than over aggressive in trying to get past.

Lap 4 - Elmarctuff - Stormtrooper - Avoidable Contact
Verdict: There was only ever one line through that turn and Stormtrooper was ahead, the late dive caused a large spin for stormtrooper even though he had the right to the racing line.

Lap 5 - CarboyXJR - WalrusKart - Avoidable Contact
Verdict: Coming into the turn way to hot, rear ending Walrus and sending him well off track.

More to come, Penalties and even DQ will be placed.

I would like to point out that the incident on lap 5 between me and Walrus prompted me to drop back to fourth, making sure he qualified.

Nothing malicious, I braked at my normal point, but one of GT6's random grip changes pretty much doubled my braking distance.

Grip loss almost caught me off guard in the later laps of the Ex finals.

Although tyre wear might be the one to blame.

The times where I got mugged on the last corner were after the game decided to give me sellotape coated tires.

The Quattro was mostly consistent all the races, but significantly slower than during qualifying.

1:08.3 max and 1:09s average vs 1:12s and even 1:16s in the later laps of the finals

RS200 could be a winner if nobody touches it under braking.

But this is rallycross, so that can't happen:

 at 0:34

Track Times | Track Temperature is a big difference :P

Still doesn't account for it going off one corner and then reverting back to normal. It really throws you off.

Me going out of track limits was entirely intentional. Had no intention of actually gaining any positions but let's let the system take its course.

Same. I thought to myself, "should I try this and cause a crash/pile into someone?" or "Should I run it straight and not screw anyone's race up?".

Througout the 4WD races my thoughts were the following:

GOTTA GO FASTE HURRR RING LAPS RING LAPS POWERSLIDE FOUR WHEEL DRIFT GOTTA GO FASTE FASTE FASTE HUURRR RACING LINE FASTE HURRR NECK STIFF QUATTRO POWERSLIDE ESCORT POWERSLIDE HOOD CAM

If anybody wants the ultimate rallycross revenge example, 2:04 - 2:30:

For anybody who wants some entertainment, 0:00 - 21:06.

It shows how realistic this championship is.

I've always thought of GRC as that place where we go to slide around corners and make fun of my ineptness... think we only had one major grudge last year. Well, two, but the first one was on the pre-series test run at Daytona and they soon quit...

Before I go any further with stewarding I just want to make a few things clear.

1. The stewarding is in no way meant to discredit a driver, it is purely a way to recognise the difference between good door to door racing and contact.

2. I have been stewarding for a long time and I understand motor sport, if there is an avoidable contact notice, that is because it was avoidable, again it is in no way designed to discredit your driving but rather help you improve as you will know the difference if you take notice

3. the grip difference that you are on about is the fact that your running off the tarmac and onto dirt which then causes your tyres to become dirty, this is something that will happen in real life and is not something that PD got wrong, if you are struggling with it then i would strongly suggest trying to stay on the tarmac at all times as this will keep your tyres clean and therefore the grip will stay the same. If you do run off track and get the dirty tyres you will have to adjust your driving to compensate for this, but this is seemingly where a few of the drivers are struggling and as a result there is some contact that would otherwise be avoidable if people understand the dirty tyres principal.

I have been stewarding for a few years now with online racing and I also run CORE which runs the WEC, I have some of the best drivers on GTP driving in the series and its something that will only happen when you run and steward correctly, so please have faith that what I put down is in now way meant to target a single driver or discredit anyone.

How about ToCA Nurb when we all lost grip on one corner for no reason? You can't put it all down to that, GT6 is highly inconsistent and tricky to understand.

I'm expecting to get completely DQ'd/barred from GRC though.

@hsv010 you did drive off track which makes the grip like ice. And as-soon as the dirt goes away. You gain the grip back. happened in super. Created understeer. Oversteer.

Never denied that. Read mine/Stig's post on why we deliberately cut a corner or two.

Some news for GRC, concerning the Limited class in particular.

Since me and @sparkytooth have chosen classic rallycross vehicles, we feel as though we should compensate for the lack of support by creating an umbrella organisation which is to specialise in the preparation and running of historic rallycross vehicles.

We are proud to unveil the MLCA -
