Managed after about 3 hours of painful setup to do a [see screens]
1.15.833
with the GTone Road. Saved ghost, and overwrote a previous replay where I had a worse lap time, however it didn't actually rewrite it in the end as when viewing it, it's still the 1.1x... So I have very fast ghost, a lap time, and that's it. I'll see what I can do, but since I probably won't be able to top that, for now, that'll be a screenshot.

If you guys think it's insufficient, then I guess i'll try to beat it again... but it'll be a real pain.

GT2 Arcade PAL version. 337.55 kmh = 209.75 mph

Lets just appoint a new rule when anybody who give out a full lap replay will be positioned before anybody who give out just photo, regardless of lap time.

And what about those who are unable to post a full lap replay? That just puts those at a disadvantage
 
It would be kind of unfair... but understandable. I'm trying to beat my own time so I can actually save the replay again. If i can't, i'll post a video of me following the ghost. At least you'll be able to see that there's no cheating.
 
Time submitted. At the end I used 1998 R390 GT1 Road Car. There is now way it can battle against the GT-One, but at least the power output is friendlier, which allows for easier driving and better power usage.

Unfortunately, I can't keep with these two guys in front of me.... Does someone have a tune for the TS020 GTOne?

Also I tried different cars and none came close to the GTone.
Said cars being TVR Speed 12, R390 Road (blue), XJ220, ZZ-2, Elise GT1.

EDIT: After reading the thread a little bit, I put the video and the previous screenshots under a spoiler tab. Sorry for those that didn't want to see the lap times ^^' I'll remember that for the next time :)

FINALLY. I was almost gonna give up for today, getting a little frustrated. Then I finally got a clean lap after like 3 hours. Have fun beating it :)



P.S. I was getting lucky sectors earlier which could provide 1:15.5 or below, but getting a clean lap here is like winning in lottery...
P.P.S. I used my own settings...which is why I won't be able to beat that top speed, but I don't care. Laptime's the main thing :D
 
Ow.... Is it even possible for me to beat that I wonder. I'm not gonna try anymore today x) But damn. The challenge is real right now. Good job :)

Could've been better if I didn't half lose control on the hill before the left hairpin. But still works I think. I did lightly tap the wall when getting the car back in control but I don't think it's eliminatory. I'll let you guys decide.

I think with this i'm touching the limits of the game's physics engine. I had to rework my whole suspension and transmission setup compared to yesterday.

@TumeK5 Enjoy beating me :3 You're putting up a great fight. I like that!
 
Rofl! We're gonna keep beating each other by a tenth... :D So next I'd imagine doing a .4.

I won't enjoy beating you though. xD knowing this combo an' all, it's gonna be torture.

Sure it is, you could've done maybe .3 with optimal lines, I mean, the way I see it is you rely on setups and I rely on driving skills. x) So my mediocre setups and driving skills vs. your expert setups and careful driving. :D

I'll try to have fun and look at those setups a bit again. Also, +340km/h, wtf xD Not gonna do my gears all over again for that.
 
True that. I don't have the best skills ever, but I do think i'm not too bad. Never won the GT academy though obviously x)

I'm not even going for top speed actually xD I only wanted short gears so as to always be in the powerband, the least amount of wheelspin after 1st gear, and to have the best acceleration when exiting turns :P

So all that top speed came accidentally? Heh. :P

I think I'll leave improving for tomorrow though, that response came too fast. :D (and hats off for that)
 
Well... I know about the bonus point for highest top speed.. but my transmission setup makes it so that the 6th gear is actually at the shortest it can be without cheats. So my top speed overall should be around 360kmh. It just so happens to be that way :3

My current best is 1:18.571 at 325,94 km/h. I think i will need another 999 laps to have an improvement.
Magnificent magical track. The only track in the game which screams at you ''I want you to drive a Ferrari on me!''

1:15 is definitely there. But it will require a truly great set-up and as you said, patience. Got none of that :D
1:17.400 with a few wall touches which slowed me down rapidly

I put some effort to a lap for round 7 but it didn't turn out good.

Maybe I'll end up doing more this round but for now:

1:34.617


No yellow stripes were driven on.
