After Turn 10s arrogant presentation at E3 last year I couldn't resist making this video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20Z_fc7uqPU

If I was a developer making a racing game I would give up after watching the GT5 trailer. Nobody will ever touch PD and never will IMO.

Apologies for digging this back up... but surely you're not that dense. That presentation was last year; everything they said was infact true, in 2009. Obviously it doesn't hold out indefinitely over time, forever... GT4 was hailed as the most advanced GT... so does that mean it still is?

Ugh, fanboys.

The closed door presentation will hopefully clear up the Premium/Standard debate. I don't know which side I sit on; it wouldn't surprise me for PD to only have some interiors modelled, or have less cars on track if it's Premium versus Standard... but I hope I'm wrong.

We won't know what premium means until Kaz decides to properly elaborate, i.e. in terms of any "features" they may still be sitting on. That is, damage (the full model), "customization" etc.

EDIT: Just wanted to say, I knew PD's lighting system could stretch to dynamic day / night! :D
I'm quietly hoping the rest of the stuff I "know" also comes to light between now and November...

Guys after listening to the trailer released last night many times in aw. I have realised somthing worrying. What if sebastian vetell is doing the voiceover. Imagine how anoying his voice would get saying go and finish over and over again. And through all those liecense tests.

I wouldn't mind it at all... as I've heard him doing a few voiceovers on videos, etc I really associate his voice with motorsport, so it would add a very professional touch.

Hmmm, his accent is surprisingly thick. That's a good point. Anyway, in the trailer, he was clearly filmed reading the US-localisation: "... easily reach 400 km/h on the straight away ..." instead of the UK English "... straight ...".

Perhaps there will be a different voice-over for each country? :P

I think everybody had better realise that the entirety of the trailer was dubbed, just like every other official trailer (and intro' movies) from the past.

Im thinking about the day/night cycle...
In the demo you see the transition happening very rapidly.. could this be due to them trying to showcase it? Or do you think they may implement it into shorter races in the game?

In the longer endurance races obviously they will have real time but you guys/gals think that they may speed up the time?

Yes. The video itself said cycles were sped up for the demo.

All this talk about the day/night cycle got me thinking.

On and off, I play this sim called Rigs of Rods. I won't go into too much detail for fear of people thinking I'm trying to advertise it, but one of the features it has is a day/night cycle you can control with the + and - keys.

Something like this would be fantastic for GT... a fully controllable day/night cycle.

Also, lol at Frank Spencer

Great now I can't play NFS shift , how on earth do PD expect any one to play any other game after seeing such perfection :D

I'm not sure if its been mentioned yet, but its not listed in the first post under new features. Its reverse lights, the video with the lambo has a good example of it.

"The 200 premium cars that take the final count past the 1000 mark are something else, however. The premiums have been lavished with a slightly worrying amount of detail - every single screw is visible in the hubs, the interiors have been recreated down to the stitching (standard cars won't have interiors, which is a bit sad, but there are, like, 800 of them), and their undersides have been comprehensively modelled to take into account a new physics system which, along with allowing for dents and scratches, can sends your ride flipping through the air during collisions."

Which part of that mentions anything about damage?
It still could be misworded due to translation but I wouldn't be surprised if all the 750+ GT4 cars weren't as highly detailed.

so the cappuccino is a premium car, thats cool...

also few people saying the end is a windtunnel i very much disagree, it looks like an autoclave

track issue discussed tomorrow you guys think ?

Yup, I'm gathering a gif of it. It looks amazing. Making other changes, too.

GT ACE GETS CREDIT! GIF thread is good.

I don't know why the premium cars interiors have so much interior detail, and the standard ones don't have one. But anyways, the games still looks awesome!:D

After looking at this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SKwN_LPGgs I'm quite worried about the physics. If you look at 0:54 second mark, he gets into a small slide (like a rally car would) but looks incredibly easy to correct and straighten, but the driver loses it. Have they made the over steer ridiculously hard like in the TT demo or does this driver just really suck? I've noticed some oversteer in other vids aswell and I still haven't seen anybody correct them, not one.
