That's what I meant. Hot topics are topics confirmed/unconfirmed or speculation.

i.e. livery editor, weather, new manufacturers, car models, etc.

Well, being realistic, I don't believe he will release any formal car list, we will end up with some new videos ( really new videos, I'm bored of seeing the same CEs demo over and over again... ), which will show us some new models. About weather, E3 will be a totally open game, they can just show us some footage of racing under rain or even announce if we will, or won't get the most wanted real time weather and day/night cycle in the 24h races.

New manufacturers is for sure a clever announcement, every time PD shake hands with a new manufacturer we get new cars and marketing, probably, Bentley and Maserati will show their fancy alcantara faces, of course, there will be less bentleys and Maseratis than ferraris, which was the most awaited brand ( excepting Porsche ;) ) in the game.

I'm waiting for GT Auto, I want details of what we can, and cannot do in the game, however, I must say, that custom tuned Tuscan almost finished my expectations, PD modifying cars to put in the game, is a clue of a limited livery and tuning editor in my opinion. Otherwise, they wouldn't spend time on another custom car by GT and let the players customize their own rides to death.

Edit: Monster post, don't ask me why I did this, I'm drunk.

GT Auto is what I most want to know about too!:dopey: It's by far the most intriguing element because it had so much room for improvement in GT4. It can be such a powerhouse element to GT5. It can be utterly epic.

In regard to new manufacturers: I think 2-5 are still left to uncover. Maserati, Koenigsegg, Ariel, Bugatti (not seen officially in GT5 graphics), and Gumpert.

Another Speculation-> What if PD would take 60-80% of Sony's alotted time like Mod Racer Nation and the "Motion Controller" (now called PS Move) COMBINED on last years E3? For KY to explain GT5 in its explicit details, NOW THATS WHAT I CALL A PRESENTATION.

(After that, I really don't care about the release date anymore) :sly:

I don't like car list being revealed before I get the game, I always avoid looking at them.

I might be a bit sad but I like the surprise of finding them all myself.

I am looking forwards to seeing what they are going to do with GT Auto and the online options.

That's what I call a dream, it would be epic and I'm sure the sensei want to showcase his masterpiece as much as we want to see it, as he already said "I'm sorry, but I can't elaborate much at this point", E3 it's the time for him to show his work and show why Sony is still hiding the most valuable secrets regarding the future game of the year. C'mon, Kaz is our showman! *Kaz starts dancing in my drunk mind*

I'm still caring, showing us a masterpiece and then saying they don't know when it will be available to mere mortals like us, it's just worse than showing nothing new at all. ;)

Mostly disagree. It's been so long that I would probably not stop myself from seeing who's in and who's out. But I do understand how one would not want to be spoiled early.

I might be a bit sad but I like the surprise of finding them all myself.

Again, I can understand this point of view, but I'd probably be more excited than sad.

I am looking forwards to seeing what they are going to do with GT Auto and the online options.

100% agree. GT Auto should return with vengeance. I think it'll be the coolest part of GT5 (well, close to it!)

Red=me.

Hopefully!

I'm quite looking forward to this. it makes sense that there would be a lot revealed, but I don't want to be disappointed so imtrying not to get my hopes up. It's not working!

Same here, same here, and... same here.

While I loved hearing that we were getting Ferrari for the first time, and what a partnership that is!, I'd rather encounter the cars as the game opens up on my screen.

GT Auto is my focus too. I know we're going to be able to mod our cars, but I want to know that Race Mod is returning, and possibly even Tuner Modding. I want to see a Livery Editor. I want to see extensive tuning options which I need to consult with seasoned vets here on the board about.

But to be sure, there are others. What are the dealerships all about? Will used cars return, and will there be a GT4-like rotation? Will there be rare gems in the car lots, like tuner bargains? What if anything can we transfer from Prologue? What will the career be like? Will there be a true Career Mode, and will there be a Season Mode with stat tracking. Will the bots have names and personalities, racking up stats of their own? What will online be like, and what kind of race building and league support tools will there be?

I know opinions differ, but I think this has to be the most anticipated game in history.

Let us not get our hopes up to high. Surely we all remember last year... how much sense it made that it would release this year ( then, 2009 ). sigh.
You said it, it was last year, last E3. Since then we have seen 3-4 new concept videos, new details, 4-5 different build of playable demos, time trial, a release date etc...
One disappointing E3...yes why not.
Two in a row, not a chance.

hardvibes, you cannot be any more correct. E3 '09 was a joke in most aspects. Sure, we gained some minor knowledge: Damage, NASCAR, few new cars. But that's pathetic in E3 terms.

E3 '10 should be much better. It's been a long year. A true roller-coaster of events. Sony cannot really afford to be quiet again. If I were Sony, I'd be there to shout out with great pride, the one, the almighty, Gran Turismo 5.

It's time. It has to be.

Stop hyping me up like that!:lol:

can`t wait for e3 i hope they give us a date full car list a new demo and more well they should after e3 o9

While I pretty much agree with you, I had a hard time a reading that sentence. Use some punctuation. It'll help you!:) And it's required for posting on this site anyways.

A car list is unlikely in my opinion. But I'd like to see one, too. And I look forward to about 2-5 new more manufacturers added to GT5.

Yeah I agree with not releasing a car list. I don't mind knowing what new manufacturer licenses they have gained, but I want to discover some cars in the game myself. Also another thing to throw around is that, if we can customize our cars far more in this game, wouldn't it be cool if some of the AI drivers also drove some customised cars of their own. I don't think I've seen this in a proper sim racing game before and I always thought it would be quite cool to race other suped up cars.

I too am looking really foward to E3. I, like many others, will be very dissapointed if we don't get the news we crave for but on the other hand I'm looking foward to see what else Sony will have in store for us despite GT5 being my personal main focus.

I also like suprises but do hope that the main features are covered for example if there is 950 or 1000 cars in the game. I would like some manufacters to be confirmed but not car models as I always find it interesting to look through the dealerships before I play. I would definatley vote against a full car list being revealed.

I am really anticipating news of a livery editor and other visual features that can be made to make my own personal car.

Finally, the release date. I wouldn't be upset with a september to November release. But it really should be revealed in June due to the fact that Sony have said a 2010 release earlier on in the year. I feel as though it would be too late for them to announce at TGS and this would be the only real oppurtunity of them finally revealing what we all want to hear.

My expectations are high as always, I just hope they are met.

Which GT was it where you could convert the car to a race spec version?

Was it GT2? I really hope that comes back, I had a cleo modded out like that and it was an absolute giant killer!

Yeah, I believe it was GT2, and I really missed that feature in later games.

Agreed as well, except for the fact I don't want to hear a bunch of people going, "OMG WTF, no Koenisegg/Zonda F/blah blah blah?! OMG GT5 Suckz now!"

It's coming inevitably, but I'd rather it after the game's out then a possible 4-6 months away from release.

If GT5 has a release date in 2010 it needs to get a date at E3. If it does not get a date i dont think GT5 will be here in 2010.
