To clear things up...

The picture posted was offensive, and has been removed. This is a forum frequented by people of all ages. Such things cannot be tolerated.

and we're moving on...

;)

I dont care what you think, you had no real reason to bring it up again other than to continue to argue with folk.

Lets talk about E3 again, if your ready?
Likewise. While I'm happy to see this resolved, with all due respect, you are the one who brought it up again. You could have just quietly reported it, but no...

As for talking about E3; yes sir. Sorry sir. What do you suggest we talk about? As already pointed out early in this threads life, it's a bit premature. We don't know anything about GT5 and its presence at E3, and can speculate all we like. Will we get a launch date? Will we see the full damage model? Will we see new tracks (as in new to GT5) such as Trial Mountain? Will we see night racing in action across different tracks? Will we get a full line-up of cars, tracks, game modes etc? The list of what might and might not be just goes on and on, and the recent "still only 90% complete" news adds further confusion into the mix.

TD N0.682 is you whinging about it further....
My post is later and I had sidestepped the issue until you had to argue about it with DOC further.
If others voiced their opinon on it, thats all I did as I found it irresponsible.

Im ignoring your posts now, you are endless....

Thats good DR.....

Has anyone any idea on Sonys booked floorspace this year at E3
Will they reduce the size due to recession or are they going full out with a massive E3 presence?

No idea personally, but I also doubt we will know anything until the E3 website is updated with the plans.

Usually some time before the show they release floormaps.
Maybe get a good idea when they are sent to people attending or teh website unviels them.

Id think Sony are spending BIG particulary as PS3 has been gaining ground on its competitors lately. The system seems on a bit of an up.

Well, I think it's becoming safer to say that if E3 does not provide a solid release date, that 2010 will be exactly like 2009, but more disappointing. E3 is Nintendo's, Sony's and Microsoft's convention. It's always where the biggest news is revealed. So, along with their 3D tvs, I hope Sony gives GT5 its deserved time.

Nonetheless, I will make no assumptions with 6 weeks left, but again, this coming presentation will reveal a lot, however good or bad it is.

Isn't it way too early for this thread? Way to build unrealistic expectations...:scared:

Not that I don't want the goods at E3, but what I've learned after all this waiting is to hope for the best and fear for the worst - I won't believe any release date until I have the disc clutched firmly in my hands. ;)

Well I'll believe the release a little bit before you, about the time people that get early copies start showing them off. lol

What are you going to see? SONY's E3 conference or Brazil's World Cup debut against North Korea?

Me neither, I will surely be working. :-P

No its far from too early, 5.5 years since Gt4 enough waiting.
Personally I think we should build expectations higher than ever before, because seriously news must come, if it doesn't I want Yamauchi to go home all depressed because he will know about how frustrated we are ;).
Reply in all your anger to my post, but this guy doesnt even know what % his game is up to, its going from 60% to 90% in 3 months and half a year later its still at 90%.

Kaz must be frustrated as hell.
Everywhere he goes he gets "THAT REALEASE DATE" question all the time and probably has been asked it more times in the last five + years than a car has polygons in GT5. :)

He cant say is the simple truth so just perhaps says anything to please.
The problem with that is every word he says is taken so seriously.

E3 makes sense to be the place to finally make it all happen and while we thought all the juice would be spilled last year. We were not aware until the trailer from E3 last year of WRC/Nascar/GT that the game was perhaps bigger than we imagined.

Of course even then we didnt know antthing about their plans to perhaps release a 3D version and the whole situation with their damage.

E3 time has however always produced new information regards GT5 or at least trailers.
So this year now that we KNOW the game is officially in 2010 that means this will be the final E3 before the games release.
That makes a BIG difference and then doesnt matter if the game releases in June/July with Sonys 3DTVs or is as late as Dec this year thisis their last chance at E3 to promote it on the worlds largest video game conference.

That can only mean then a massive showcasing at E3 with even pre show information or new trailers appearing.

Buckle your seatbelts.......

If he cannot say (which I agree, clearly he can't) the last thing he should be doing is saying stuff like, "the game is 90% complete". This raises more ambiguity than just saying the game is almost complete and we are just in the final polishing stages. Anyway, I'm sure he said what he said almost as a figure of speech, and that really, it just means exactly that - we are almost done, and plucked a number out of the air that sounds plausible.

You are right, IF the game is going to be launched in 2010, the actual release date is somewhat irrelevant - it's only a maximum of 8 months away, and as it would likely be an early December release, if not late November to coincide with Thanksgiving, only 6 or 7 months away. That's roughly the equivalent of getting the news at TGS 2009 that Japan would be getting the game in March 2010, and look how quickly that has come and gone.

However, we do not KNOW that GT5 will launch (at least globally) in 2010 because no official announcement has been made yet. All sources point to it being the case I grant you that, but then all sources back then prior to TGS 2009 pointed to the game launching in December 2009...

I for one am hoping for an E3 blowout and 2010 launch announcement. Fingers crossed.

, both will be boring to watch, but E3 has a chance to surprise us....even so I'll watch the world cup. ;)

Yeah and even then they held stuff back like headtracking, triplescreens and night races so chances are more surprises and OMGs are a possibility. :)

It's pretty clear (to me, at least), that Sony is finally clamping down on KY and PD. And as much as I'd like KY to be able to put EVERYTHING in the game, it doesn't have to be perfect. And we all know he doesn't grasp that concept too well.

So that's why I still have great faith for 2010 and E3. And for once, I applaud Sony.

I'm confused, how are Sony clamping down on Kaz. I thought it wad all Sonys fault for the delay. Or rather that's the general consensus around here.

I still despise Sony for some of the things that have happened, but I think it's becoming clearer that KY's total dream won't be possible in GT5. Hence, Sony is giving them a smack in the rear and very likely a window for release.

They should just throw us a bone already. 30 second video of a new track we haven't seen before along with a car that hasn't been confirmed in GT5 yet.

That would at least give us a few weeks of unless talk at least! :sly:

Tonight my friend will start to translate LoveCars interview in 10 .pm GMT..He just said to me on MSN.I hope it comes true and contains unknown features or other add-on..Be ready\

Who says they wont.
Didnt the video last year get released a couple of days before E3 started?

Sony will want to create "maximium damage" :dopey:

Also latest reports are Sonys 3DTVs are expected in Japan and possibly USA around the 10th of June.
Thats a week before E3 so I wouldnt be surprised if more GT5 news or trailer was released regards this.

Reminds me of the scenes in the James Bond films (and Austin Powers films too)when the henchman stays at his post to say:

20 seconds and.......... counting :lol::)
