WTF?

Sony will have given him nearly six years by the time GT5 eventually releases. You've got to draw the line somewhere.

You skipped or ignored what I typed before.

but I think it's becoming clearer that KY's total dream won't be possible in GT5. Hence, Sony is giving them a smack in the rear and very likely a window for release.

And also:

It's pretty clear (to me, at least), that Sony is finally clamping down on KY and PD. And as much as I'd like KY to be able to put EVERYTHING in the game, it doesn't have to be perfect. And we all know he doesn't grasp that concept too well.

So that's why I still have great faith for 2010 and E3. And for once, I applaud Sony

Man I hope e3 is worth it. At the same time after E3, I am going to Mexico for 3 month time.. So if GT5 releases between June and September I wont be playing it :(

Just a little reminder

I think they called it 'Forver' for a reason. Maybe GT5 should be called 'Gran Turismo Forever'.

Those Duke "reminders" are a pretty tired cliche... ;)

I still despise Sony for some of the things that have happened, but I think it's becoming clearer that KY's total dream won't be possible in GT5. Hence, Sony is giving them a smack in the rear and very likely a window for release.
Well... but we don't know. Since Forza 1 came out, Gran Turismo has become a "black project" as we call them in America, a secret group who's activities baffle watchers and have supporters scratching their heads. We know absolutely nothing about what's been going on at the SONY board meetings, except that GT PSP was forced on Kaz in the middle of his dream project. That had to be a pretty bad hiccup.

People are sure that the damage build is the cause, or night racing issues, or weather. Or extra work on a livery editor or track editor. People are convinced that making GT5 3D is the big holdup. And we don't know that either. We may never know what the deal was. But whatever is going on behind the scenes, we should finally get the E3 showing we've been waiting for, more than a trailer and one tantalizing surprise.

Yeah, I believe. ;)

A hiccup doesn't even begin to explain it. How unfair for KY:nervous:

Amen, brother:tup:

A new year; A new hope.

That wasn't forced on Kaz. at all. He's the one who presented a GT Mobile game back in 2004 & then slowly kept saying we're still planning it. It took 5 years for it to come out. If it interfered with GT5, that's not really anyone's fault but Kaz's.

GT PSP was waist of time.. somewhat.. Because they did mention they learn a lot about compressing data, and managing everyhitng to work more efficiently. So it might of help them out. No wonder after GT PSP Kaz push back GT5 because they figure out how to squeeze in WEATHER, better damage, and day and night cycles in GT5 game.

There are a lot of games that deserve this title before GT5, 6 years is long but not to that extent. You have to remind there was a lot of job in digitalizing all those cars to Kaz's standards. In future release, even on another system, there won't be as much work to do being so close to reality. I still don't understand though why PD photographs and programs those cars from scratch when manufacturers clearly have them in a computer software, if the car is in the game why bother with the secrecy and corporate bull****, just give them the file, GT can make a car and/or brand become very popular and they tend to forget it, if Kaz likes you it will show in the game. I can't see how it would cost more in developing GT even if you pay the manufacturers for each car they give you the "blueprints", but i guess that wouldn't be very satisfying for The Artist formely known as Kaz.

Yes, and all along, he told everyone that this project was going to come out after GT5. If you watch Kaz's E3 2009 presentation, he looked extremely uncomfortable presenting GT PSP. In fact, it looked to me like he wanted to cry.

We may never know the truth, but this is my supposition.

And seeing how GT5 was already in its 4th year of development, again, no one's fault but Kaz's. When he announced GT Mobile, he & Sony knew it would be a system seller for the PSP; I remember plenty of folks here buying one just for it.

And I can already see Sony now doing the same thing with GT5. They know it needs to be released soon after 5 years of development so Sony can use it to move units.

Don't worry. You can come by my place and play all you want... ;)

Just kidding. Where are you going to? Mexico City I assume?

Forced or not forced upon Kaz, I definitely wish it had come after GT5.

GT5> GTPSP in every manner. Move PS3 consoles first!

Well, I can play gtpsp on the train, on the plane, at school, at work, at the dosctor's office.
At the time gtpsp came out, sony needed to move PSPs.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can 'fast' on for 40 days and 40 nights. No, not no Prologue and no, no jokes about fast and lap times.. :D

If you're sick of Prologue and want to still race on the Playstation I would suggest Grid since I found it to be an entertaining game when it came out. It has day and night cycle's and a nice damage/rollover model. It is absolutely no Gran Turismo, but still can be fun. Probably cheap now since it's been on the market for some time.

I hear NFS Shift is a good racing game as well.
