You mean like they promised more content and patches for prologue until GT5 got released? What hapened to that?

My guess is there will be and I hope some nice DLC for GT5 but for 1 year only. GT6 will release on PS3. PS4 is a long way. First Nintendo will finally get HD console then xbox and then PS4

The PS3's GPU is equivalent to a single 7600gt not SLI 8800 ultra's!

CRXFREAK001: I see where you went wrong now. The CEO of Nvidia at E3 2005 said the RSX would be twice as fast as the 6800 ultra.

Yes it is more than 2 times faster than Geforce 6800U. It is actually some overclocked version of Geforce 7800 or 7900GTX

A sharp contrast to the beautifully modeled (and damaged) F40, this standard Mx5 leaves alot to be desired.

KEEP your filthy hands OFF the course maker...

Clearly you are not a rally fan.

Oh I am a rally fan, I'm just saying that if people want this any better, stuffs gonna have to start being removed. lol

There isn't a lot of racing that I don't like, I like rally (Group A/B/C)/Targa Rally, Touge, Drifting/Lemans/SuperGT/Demolition Derby/Touring car/Production car racing/Baha and lots more. I know we've got an awesome game, Just sayin' I think the damage model looks great especially if you look at everything else we're getting.

I'm not one to complain about how things look... but damn, that is bad :indiff: I find it hard to believe that in the last 5 years they couldn't find the time to touch up some of the standards (no I'm not being unrealistic and expecting premiums). Cars like that shouldn't really be in the game as it can damage the immersion. Obviously it won't look as bad from afar and in motion... but still... :/

YEs, thats why i wrote this Standard miata...is a sharp contrast to the Premium models, haves and have nots.

@CRXFAN ahhh ok good tohear, but i doubt removing the course maker will have any effect, its teh processor intensive features which kill the gameplay, like the rain and snow and smoke effects, i bet multi-tandem (4-5 cars) drifting will see FPS drop.

GTA IV is an action game that doesn't use real car brands though;they can do whatever they like to the cars from small scratches to blowing them up and no one would complain about it. Allowing cars to blow up in a racing sim game would be very annoying and would totally ruin the driving experience.
Chillout man. GTA IV is fun, and I didn't said it's a racing game.

@PSNGAMER so i take it you never played aSIMBIN title, particularly GTR2 i remember the first time i actually blew a car up, i was testing the SuperGT 09 mod on suzuka when my TAKATA NSX clipped the grass into turn 1 and i went rear first into the barrier and just caught on fire like BAMMM. It was great, next time around, i kept it real clean and proper.

Hey hey hey! Standard cars are cool ok!? LOL :sly: :scared:

Seriously people, one page of 15 posts and the pictures were reposted 4 times.
Let's try to be considerate. There' no reason for you to quote the pictures just to say "noooooooooooo, poor F40" or "nice damage".

edit. 6 times.

What's really sad about that is, you can tell some standards look A LOT better than others, example, the land rover looks GREAT compared to the miata, veyron is also standard, and it looks A LOT better than that too. Wonder if that's just a bad angle or if photomode actually makes standards look worse? I saw a replay of a standard miata and it didn't look that bad on the replay.

wrong... what they mean by the 10 year is that they will continue to support it for 10 years. just like sony did with ps2, the ps3 was out and they continued to support the ps2... we will see ps4 2011/2012 for sure

however i believe GT6 will be on ps3. just like how GT4 was on ps2 right around the time of the launch of ps3. I see that happing again. I think PD will spend maybe 1.5 years tops making it

Off topic: I really hope so, fingers crossed!

On topic: I LOVE the song playing at the Nissan La Sarthe Replay, it's the same as in the Ferrari Italia 458 tribute by Polyphohy, so beautiful this song.

From what weve all seen PD did a good job to blend them in together, but upon closer inspection the dirty little secrets become plain as day, kindalike that chunky girl on FB or TWitter who takes pics in the dark so you cant see her double decker chin.

But damn i dont wanna give up hope, all my fav cars are Standards.

I think when you actually take the photo and it's processed then some AA is applied and makes it look alot better, same with the shadows.

I don't think the Land Rover looked all that good. It's just looked like a weird, single mass of polygons. Plus it was a far shot and it was in the shadow. Can't really judge it from that.

I'd say there's something wrong with this picture.

You can see those jagged lines also in some scenery parts especially in the guarding rails which indicates the image as a whole is compressed or something.

Yep, exactely.

With all these new images and videos I'm confident PD developed the best game the could have in the allotted time. Are there disappointments? Yes, I would have liked more premium cars, but some of the nitpicking I've seen around here is absurd. GT5 will be the best racing sim ever developed and chances are it will remain the best until GT6 (which I hope is a PS4 launch title in 2012--yeah you read that right)

I'm sick of all the whining going on here, how are PD supposed to make the damage system completely realistic in a game such as GT5? I mean if they do that then a single crash at 120km/h might end the race for you, is that what you really want?

I don't know about everyone else, but that's certainly what I want. It changes your driving style a lot when you know that going into a corner even a little too hot is going to mean the end of the race for you. Much more exciting.

Exactely what I think. I wish PD would release in the next 2-3 years a few little free DLC's for GT5 and right after that release the full proper GT6 along with the release of the PS4, would be ace. 👍

I don't at all believe that the pic of the standard Miata is legitimate. Even in GT4 they didn't look that bad. I would know; I'm using a Miata for racing in GT4 right now (clearing up the small-sized car events). I have a feeling someone staged a shot to look bad on purpose.

Also, I'd like to see that ferrari before and after.

It's still a live preview, once you take the picture and it is processed and saved it should look better, in regards to AA.

Right, maybe, but that's only for taking photos not while you're playing the game. I'm not sure if you're trying to defend the in-game model by the optimized photomode model.

Nah, I was just trying to explain why that one looked particularly poor compared to other shots we have seen, probably because images like the Range Rover were fully processed shots.

Oh, sorry for the misunderstanding.
