I was slightly peeved that alot of old faourite tracks had gone... but the track maker is looking to be a very welcome addition. im sure in time itll be updated and im hoping for track packs of old classics...maybe the announcement on twitter will be of tracks/ content.....has to be something not yet seen. or made official.

I'm also hoping, I know it's wishfull thinking but something like a DLC on launch day, which will be activated by the internal clock of the ps3 or some proper DLC on the 24th of december, like a christmas present you know?

There is no way a release party is an announcement... No one really cares about a party they can't attend... BUT the announcement is most likely going to be reviled there.

So good suggestion here, I'm going to throw some guesses in...

We already know about all off-line features as Sony knows GT5 has been out there for some time... but they are pretty confident its going to make us go crazy... Perhaps its online leagues? Tracks exclusive to online racing? Maybe series races?

Does anyone know about "GT anywhere" yet?

Supposedly you can do B-spec on the web... if they did that big of a web feature there is a very good chance their are other applications that tie into GT 5...

There was talk about real time weather based on the actual weather of the location... Now that we know this is more or less a selectable feature/track, this could have been a bad translation... Maybe it's something else besides weather?

What if there is an official GT 5 PSN space in PSN home that ties directly into the game? Like an interactive online lobby... with more to do that chat... that would be consistent with all the big game companies trying to get more into social spaces...

What if its regular hosted events by Sony for GT 5 online?

Who knows but it's a bold statement and online is something we are all locked out of unless a journalist spills the beans early...

Or it's just nothing, something we already know but the masses don't...

And another one, nice track.

This reminds me of the area where I live. Sometimes I just go out and drive around the valleys where I live, but it's sadly taking a toll on my gas tank. I think I will REALLY enjoy the track maker, because it will be worth it to take those "relaxing drives" :D

With regards to the above course maker video:

The elevation changes are spectacular. I saw a recent video in which Yamauchi-san explained why he was so proud of the course maker. He said people derive most of the fun from the track itself. So infinite tracks makes for infinite fun.

I would love to create a series of tracks that emulate British hill climbing events. A performance tuned Jaguar E-Type storming along an undulating asphalt ribbon...Wednesday can't come soon enough.

Hmmmm ... all the ones that had rewind feature I've played the cars were tough as tanks. Even in Forza 3 I was able to balance off wall with hardly any damage.

I don't like rewind. Defeats the object of risk versus reward. There's no risk at all with rewind.

My comment about bulletproof cars was directed at that Le Sarthe video. After what he went through it was a bit disappointing to see him finish first, that's all.

Muscle car in action - looks like he overheated his tyres and they kept smoking down the straight at the end :)

Car lacks bodyroll here, I hope it's because he has aids on and using a pad

Y'know, of all the things I've seen, this gives me the most hope. An AI that is not only aggressive, but smart enough to actively block your way?

Me likey.
Yeah I thought it was too good to be true!
----------------

Now that we cleared the AI issue, what about damage?
I know we've seen a few damage shots but what about MECHANICAL damage. I've haven't seen anything about it. Maybe it's just me not constantly looking at every message in every thread ....
What's the verdict?
On or off in arcade mode? If on, good or bad?
What about career mode?..... I can't hear any weird noises, I can't see any steering or shifting problem.

Talk to me :(
