Don't get your hopes up about a patch to fix the jaggies in the smoke. It's a side effect of the depth of field being applied as a post-processing effect. It wont go away until we get more processing power (PS4) I was playing Prologue today and noticed the same jaggyness when I zoomed in on my car while watching a replay, and have seen this effect in other games as well. the jaggy smoke and Shadows will go away when GT7 releases on the PS4. Just deal with it, the rest of the game looks amazing I'm not too worried about a few small jaggies because the PS3's processing limit is nearly maxed out.

i think far too much is being made of the small negative aspects of gt5, I've been pretty negative of it myself in various areas... but we aren't getting the full picture here. not only have we not seen the online component, but its pretty possible a patch could amend some of the visual issues that people are complaining about.

we will see come wednesday.

Holy!!!!! That looks so awesome! yay for variable surface types! yay for jumps & bumps!

Yaw... that track in a raining day would be awesome. In the game, rally cant be raced in rain, right? Just wondering...

edit: i really start to think, that rollovers aren´t necessary at all. I mean...without a proper damage system, it looks like crap. Anyway, i dont mean to be crashing in the game...
edit2: And just look at the bottom of the car...empty. I really really will avoid any rollovers...for the good of my replays.

Chill out with the sight and sounds of Gran Turismo 5 :)
Music/sound is from the game and has gone through a valve pre-amp, makes it sweeter

Just fired up GT5P to examine the smoke & dirt effects for myself... Looking closely, some added jaggies are indeed there (and I checked in 1080p & 720p)... Apologies as it was hard to tell from YouTube videos but it's fair to say the smoke / dirt / spray in replays does seem to look even worse in GT5 than in GT5P so perhaps the resolution of those smoke effects have been reduced further since GT5P. That being the case I don't expect a fix :ill: and I'd have to say it doesn't bode particularly well for the deluge of 8MP photo mode pictures that will hit the web next week. 👎

...what?

The 18(let alone 8)MP images posted so far look amazing, no idea why you're suddenly thinking smaller images will look worse...👎

I don't think GT5 has 18MP shots anymore. Only 8 in phototravel, and 1920x1080 in photomode (the only mode with smoke).
