Even when Kaz says there will be a set number of cars, expect about 15% more than he says.

GT2 had "over 500 cars" and it was closer to 600.

GT3 had "over 150 cars" and there were almost 200.

GT4 had "over 600" and it actually had over 700.

I'm not worried at all.

Well the 950 came straight from Kaz as opposed to the 1000 and 900 which came from a leaked list and g4tv. So.. who ya gonna believe?

I'm just saying the number dropped a solid 100 cars. It was 1000+ at GamesCom, now it's 950+. I guess, in theory, that's the same amount because of the plus sign, but I hope the damage system doesn't take away from the new cars. They would probably remove a few GT4 cars.

I wouldn't take that screenshot as confirmation of rain, but at the same time I think it's safe to assume that what we are seeing is very cloudy/dull weather? We might not get rain in the game, but maybe really dark grey cloudy skys and wet tracks? It's been so long since I played a GT game but I think I recall the night courses having wet roads?

Yeah, Special Stage Route 5 had rain on it both forward and backward. Was fun to drive around without the aids on.

Ahaha jesus christ what a bad video, fair enough if he's not impressed with the damage, but everything else? I don't even know where to begin, what an idiot.

1000 sends a message, a message of, here take these, have fun for a few years. Which i will be glad to do, but i've recently taken up Flight Simulators in an attempt to improve my patience because i don't know if i will be able to endure another campaign like this one.

Ouch. What a moron... Can we get a "Real" review please? That was probably the most Biased review i have ever heard.
Controller over the wheel, People don't own setups like that? lol what?

Biggest idiot I've heard. After GT1 and GT2 the series has "died out"?

WTF? Gran Turismo 3 is the highest selling PS2 game after only the GTA trilogy.

I don't even know where to begin, what an idiot.

Am I an idiot too? In the end of the day, if I have the game, I guarantee you I won't be playing it with a wheel or any other things. Just a controller. As many other people will, not everyone lives where a PS3 is relatively cheap. Not having a wheel takes away the experience. The only impressive thing I can see from GT5 are the graphics, honestly. I know what real life looks like. Physics? Haven't drove a car in my life, so GT4's physics are good enough for me, they are believable to me. So, other than graphics, I don't see what's so amazing about GT5. Has it died out from the second game on? I don't think so. Though the fact the first two games were great played a huge part that the other two games, along with GT5:P were bought. Admiteddly, I enjoyed GT2 more than I enjoyed GT4.

EDIT: Look what we have here. Fanboy and biased accusations flying all over the place. If someone does not like Gran Turismo, it must be because he likes Forza. Or is it because he isn't interested in cars, or something more rational? 👎

I really do not like this guy for 3 reasons
1) He says a lot of very stupid things in a very small amount of time.
2) He gets paid to go to TGS and play GT5(jealousy speaking here).
3) He thinks that microphone makes him look cool.

WTF? What is this for a jerk. Tell you what, mate... If you want to make a review you should be honest, because that what we hear isn't right at all. I can agree that this guy is upset about the damage, and of course it's not the same if you play with a controller yeah. But what, GT3 and GT4 died out? Can't remember, more people bought GT3 than the whole Forza series, even GT5P is better selling than Forza 2 and this is a demo. If that guy don't want to buy it, who cares, he has no idea what he's missing. I will enjoy the moment when this game comes out with a better damage model and this guy will be ashamed that he said bad things about GT.

If you say idiotic things, yes. He said idiotic things. I know you come from a country in which not just racing seats like that are rare, but G25s and PS3s, but the rest of us aren't that poor. Talking down wheel controllers just because he prefers a DS3? Look, if you're missing the stupidity of his attitude, it can't be explained to you, we'll just have to leave our opinions at that.

I do like his microphone though, it sure makes him "look" like a big man.

Forza 3 impressed me more actually. Physics wise it seemed a little dulled down, but it was much more fun to drive and watch. As a GT fan it kills me to say it, but that is how it was.

Gee, I beat the FW3 demo in a few hours when I finally got dialed in, and now I'm so bored with it that the 360 is going back to the closet. I'm more impressed with Prologue still, and it's actually making me starved for GT5 all that much more.

Forza 3 is... Forza, and if you love it, you'll love FW3, but the only fun thing about it to me is making and painting race cars. The racing itself... it's okay, but I think there's a reason that Prologue sold as many copies as FM2 in less time with a smaller PS3 user base.

do you even know what that is ??
and a 318i there you go 4cil

I've already established that you most certainly don't, and unless you want the full transcript of you 'technical know-how' posted as a thread in its full glory, I would strongly advise you start to take a more considered approach to posting.

Oh and follow the AUP....

Where, exactly? Other than the fact he said GT died out, I don't see anything idiotic in his statements.

I know you come from a country in which not just racing seats like that are rare, but G25s and PS3s, but the rest of us aren't that poor.

That poor? Would you pay over 1200 US dollars for a 40GB PS3? Well, that's the price the 40GB PS3 is being sold at here.

Talking down wheel controllers just because he prefers a DS3?

He didn't said that. He said that in the end of the day he will be using a DS3. He also said, if you payed attention, than not everyone will be playing with a wheel. And he is right. Those who can't afford steering wheels and cockpits won't enjoy the game as much as those who can, and thus, the game will be not as good for them.

Becase it's a true demo? Like the one at GamesCon of GT5. Not like the "demo" Prologue.

The first part is your opinion (duh!), you enjoy making and painting race cars over racing, and that's good. But implying that Prologue sold as many copies as FM2 in less time with a smaller PS3 user base because it's a better racing game is pure nonsense. It's probably a factor, but not the only one. I wonder if the fanbase spawning all the way back to 1997 in the case of GT as opposed to Forza's fanbase originated in 2005 had anything to do with it...

Controller over the wheel, People don't own setups like that? lol what?

+It looks great
-Doesn't like the crashes
-The setup on the booth might be nice, but noone has those at home, everyone plays with a controller
-Gran Turismo isn't big anymore, it has died out

Oh, and he didn't want to talk bad about it. :)

I dunno what you guys have against him. Except for the "gt has died out" I don't see where he would be wrong. There are a lot of people playing with ds3, the damage is **** and except for the graphics gt5 isn't that impressive yet

The only thing wrong with GT5 is GT Mobile. I think that's the reason for the delay. Now, I know people will say "You cannot have a delay if there's been no release date". That's a silly defense. GT Mobile has slowed GT5's release and SONY is the mastermind behind that. But everything that guy has said is pretty unfair to a hugely popular series. Just look at him.

Click on that guys other videos... He's more impressed with unreal things like beating Zombies with guitars - "The game's awesome !"

Each to their own but honestly he should be embarrassed with his GT5 short.

Really? Really?

In Forza. ;)

I doubt too many gamers are unaware that Forza exists. What the biggest factor is is anyone's guess, but I would submit to you that it just might be that to many racing fans, racing in Gran Turismo with a wheel feels more like driving a real car than Forza does. When I went from racing in the Forza demo to GTR Evo, my PC sim, it didn't feel quite the same, and I don't attribute that to the cheaper MS Wheel. But Prologue did. And ask yourself why 4 million people would buy a "glorified demo?"
  • Prologue has the fewest cars of any GT game.
  • It has a tiny number of tracks, a whopping six now.
  • You can't do any tuning with the cars until you beat the A Class level, and then you can't tune all that much. You certainly can't modify them at all.
  • There are no race cars save for one F1 car, and only a spotty selection of sports cars and tuners.
  • The online system is very weak.
  • There are no special modes, and we're lucky to be able to save single player replays.
  • There is no damage.
And there's probably more reasons than that. You can call those four million of us a load of fanboys, but then, how is that any less opinionated, or any of the things you posted, than anything I've stated? Especially the bold part.

Edit: I guess I should say that I'm not saying that Prologue is a better game than a Forza which is seven or eight times larger and has tons more to do - which I decidedly did not say, by the way, you created that in your mind. But something is definitely very good, perhaps even better, to have so many sales in so short a time. Remember, it was a platinum seller just from pre-orders, and you can't say that about many games at all.

well the words died out.. is a bit wrong ..

but the series has sold less in the states with gt4 than gt3..

so i think gt5 would follow in the gt4 footsteps with lesser sales...

but it isent dieing out.. just less sales..

i could be very wrong,, only time will tell....
