Gran Turismo 6 coming to PS3

What speculations? To those who are saying the PS4 will be out at the end of the year, I am just saying I don't think it will be. Not speculating anything just joining in with all the opinions.

Certainly nothing close to the amount required to fund development of the GT series (I wouldn't be at all surprised if his involvement in racing is an expense rather than a form of income).

Though it's certainly possible that even if Kaz's racing endeavors do amount to negative income, Sony might consider them as a more subtle form of advertising and thus a justified expense.

Exactly. Its marked launch is the last month(s) of 2013. A delay in that "launch" would make Sony look really really really bad.

Well, just my opinion but its 9 months away from December. If they are aiming for a Xmas release I would had expected a bit more info from the Sony announcement last week than just a shot and some minor details of the controller. Plus, some of the content from the developers seemed very limited. I could be wrong of course but as a world wide release, I am not convinced it will be out in 2013. Japan maybe but not Europe or the US. Could be wrong of course

Another thing to add is the PS3 was announced at E3 in May 2005 with a planned release quoted at Spring 2006. It was infact released in November 2006 in Japan and the US, a year and a half later and 6months late and Europe in 2007, 2 years later and a year late.

I personally hope it comes to PS3, I don't want another GT HD Catastrophe to happen once more. Think about it. Gran Turismo 3 was Released. Hardly as much Content as we would have prefered. GT4 Came out. MIND WAS BLOWN! The Sheer Content was amazing. GT Mode can be further improved and expanded and reworked for GT6 on PS3. Yes we won't get too many graphical improvements due to the game looking already gawjus as It is. (Minus to Jaggy Shadows) Which would be fixed!? Who's knows! My Vote goes for GT6 Going to PS3. That and the fact I can't shell out another $700 for a PlayStation Console in my current Finances.

Makes perfect sense to me. GT6 this year or wait 2 - 3 years or even longer knowing PD for a new Gran Turismo on the next gen console?? I'd take GT6 this year than waiting a couple years thanks.

Also when Michael Denny said GT6 would be on PS3, he also added that it was going to be released this year. He paused when he said that sentence about GT6 on PS3 so iam sure he was certain about the statement. 👍

If the same steps are followed, GT2>GT1, GT4>GT3 (in terms of content, improvements) then we're safe. GT6 on PS3 will be one hell of a game to end the PS3 life in great style.

The GT5 we always wanted.

And, regarding sounds... if they at least do the efforts they did with the Honda HSV for ALL cars... I think they did that to show us that they are really working hard.

Just listen to the sound bite. He didn't mean to say something else. The NSX concept video is in the PS3 engine and shows content we do not have.

A GT title for PS4 will not see the light of day until 2016 at the earliest.

I read somewhere, one of the developers that are working with the PS4, saying that some stuff they used to need months to do before, they can do "in days with the new hardware.

It's everywhere that the PS4 was developed with the Game Developers in mind. Easy to use and work with.

So. If we think like that, and obviously, being a "PC-a-like" platform" it will be WAAAAY easier to develop than the CELL... Why can't PD develop GT7 for PS4 in less time than they did the other games until now?

Big part of the assets are ready (the cars), they probably did some of the newer tracks "future-proof" like they did with the cars...

If the tools are easier to use... Why not? So...

Release GT6 on PS3 (in the current system, just add-ons like Kaz said) and then work faster on a GT7 PS4.

That isn't something that is "broken" it is merely inconvenient for players who are deep into the game.

All I want is to be able to retain my garage. I don't want to have to re-acquire and re-tune everything.

I don't think we can predict what will happen. At this point anything seems possible. GT6 can make sense as either a PS3 or PS4 game, or even both for that matter. And there are reasonable arguments against these possibilities. But the business needs to make money.

If Sony and Polyphony Digital can sell 6,7,8 million copies of a game for the PS3, and make it available for PS4 via Gaikai, why wouldn't they?

If GT6 is released this year for PS3 it would make a lot of money for Sony and give Polyphony time to work on the PS4 hardware. They might offer a GT-HD/Prologue sort of demo soon after, while working on GT7 for 2014/15. But we just don't know enough about what's been going on to tell which option is best.

It's possible that part of the team is finishing GT6(PS3) while some of the staff has been working on PS4 development. If the new console is as dev friendly as it was intended to be, we could end up with two Gran Turismo games in relatively short succession. Something like we had with GT2 - GT3 would be a win-win. Time will tell.

I honestly don't think we can reason through this. We simply don't have enough information right now and things change. We can't say that something definitely will happen because of trends. If anything the PS3 generation was the exception and the PS4 will get us back to the rule. maybe

It seemed likely that GT6 would be held for the PlayStation 4, but I expected that console to be announced at E3 which didn't happen. Who knows

As I sad before am happy to play GT6 soon I dont care is that PS3 or PS4 game. I dont care for online part of game I want strong GTmode (GT4 is great example). So if we get GT6 in next 12 month great!
