Gran Turismo 6 coming to PS3

I hope [my] PS3 can handle GT6. I have fairly new and not much used 500gb White Super Slim. It has frozen several times during GT5 exiting UCD, leaving a race, loading the game, leaving the Seasonal Events. I'm sitting here reading this thread on my iPad and my son is playing LBP2. It froze while he was changing his costume. My eldest son has the same PS3, not sure if he's having any freezing issues.

Same here, I like the 25th Anniversary better, but this is a nice car too. 👍

We don't even know of all the cars in the game, so they could have made a premium 25th too.

Super Slims tend to have performance issues with the OEM hard drives for some reason. If you swap it out to another hard drive (even another 500 GB rated at the same speed), you might get much better performance out of it.

Just wanted to point out those are a LOT of different wings! Widths too. Another thing I noticed on the hud is the 'lap time counter'. GT5 would display 4(?) at once, I saw at least 10 laps on the right side of the screen.

Not unexpected, we all know this is a cowmilking version of the PS4 version to come. And i still think it may be wrong strategy depending on Microsoft and Forza future plans + ps4 so near. As soon PS4 is out im buying and ps3 games are not interresting anymore. So if PS4 is released at same time as GT6 i will wait for the ps4 version. I Think Kaz didnt really want a ps3 release of gt6 but may been forced to do so.

You mean boxart? They probably haven't even finalized anything yet, assuming they don't go retro and just put the covered car on the cover like in GT1.

As I understand it, it was not explicitly said that it will only be on PS3, i.e. that GT6 is not going to be on PS4. They say that it's coming to PS3, but that could just mean first... Maybe PD has something in their hands. Just a small amount of hope for all the people hoping that a PS4-release would happen though.

If we're going to have a GT6 PS4 pretty late, plus the fact that it's only a consideration at this point, I would rather they just make a GT7 and have a game built from scratch for the PS4. I don't see how we'd all be playing GT6 this fall and 1-2 years later, GT6 for the PS4? No way.

I'd pre-order now, except I'm awaiting any possible Collector's Edition, probably to be announced at E3.

This is a major concern. If there is a significant amount of 'standard' cars from GT5 (GT4) then my enthusiasm will be severely dampened.

But by the way GT5 turned out to be, I'm going to wait for a "XL" or "GT Academy Edition" of GT6 (Or in other words, I wont get it that soon) anyway, as it will probably be more worthy of it's full game pricetag (60€ where I live) by then.

But they say the engine is built for future and future is PS4.
And interview with Kaz is just a confirmation it will be a ps4 version and i bet it will be the way he wants it to be. But if the price of the game is low it can be an option just to loose time waiting for the PS4 to get released.
