As far as that goes, they're probably all just passing the same image around from site to site until they can make up their own placeholder image.

Also, shouldn't we be expecting a 15th anniversary badge on the cover or something?

But they say the engine is built for future and future is PS4.
And interview with Kaz is just a confirmation it will be a ps4 version and i bet it will be the way he wants it to be. But if the price of the game is low it can be an option just to loose time waiting for the PS4 to get released.

I get about the engine. It's the same with Kojima Pro.

However, it's not exactly confirmation about GT6 PS4, as it's only on their minds, thus a consideration or in other words they haven't really started yet. It all depends on when it'll release. If it's going to be 1-2 years, why should it be GT6 and not GT7? Unless it's going to have the same menus, content, physics, and A-Spec structure as GT6 PS3, it should just be a GT7 with a completely different feel and layout to justify it being GT7 and not GT6. Waiting that long for only an upgraded visual is a waste in my opinion.

I want to talk about this picture for a minute..

It's obvious GT6 is going to have a massive wheel selection as compared to GT5 and I am almost believing that GT6 seems to be taking the GT4 route with allowing us to take wheels from other cars and place them on the vehicle we choose. In my opinion, it's the best approach to the wheel issue since I came up with some great combo's in GT4.

If we look at the top two rows, you can see the side profile of the wheel which tells me a Gran Turismo game is going to actually calculate the width of the wheel/tire as it makes contact with the road. This is huge for the series and a welcome addition in my book. This could be quite the addition (although a bit late).

Now, can we adjust the size of the Radius? That is what I want to know...

Could be a placeholder supplied by PD too. I don't think it's the final cover though, not with that "Holiday 2013" text.

This.

You don't show off new hardware and a Gran Turismo game on the PS4 and somehow call it GT6....again.

The next full-numbered GT game should be GT7 for the PS4. Keeping GT6 in mind sounds like they considered skipping a GT6 PS3 but ended up deciding otherwise.

Good call. I managed to completely miss that. 👍 Lets hope we can choose rim size too.

I can trust gamestop but I never brought anything from Amazon before.

Amazon is awesome. I really like their customer service if anything goes wrong. They even pay shipping for returns and stuff. I personally pre-ordered my GT5 Collector's edtion from them and it was well packaged.

I really hope so, then I can take the minilite's off the classic mini and put them on all the other classics. :dopey:

As opposed to...what? What were you actually expecting GT6 to be other than a massive update to GT5 with further DLC? Sounds OK to me.

This article would suggest GT6vPS3 will have an inherent short lifespan. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/05/15/gran-turismo-6-in-mind-for-ps4?+main+twitter. Read the part after the video.

Super Slims tend to have performance issues with the OEM hard drives for some reason. If you swap it out to another hard drive (even another 500 GB rated at the same speed), you might get much better performance out of it.

Is it a 7200 or 5400rpm, I have a z500/7200 from my dead Fatboy.

I hope so. It's what Gran Turismo needs and has needed for quite some time.

Indeed. There are so many awesome rims out there and thought of taking lets say taking rims from a 2013 Vette and placing them on a 69 Stingray (or whatever) is something that sounds awesome to me!!

All you guys pre-ordering already clearly didn't keep patient and weigh up the various bonus DLC GT5 shipped with from the various outlets. I sat tight and got a stealth F1 and 787B (which happened to be from Amazon anyway, or possibly Play.com)

No way I'm pre-ordering this yet, it's not gonna go anywhere people.

Well they may call it GT7 but the engine will be same as it seems. If they have calculations right on physics then they can just add more content, Graphics, weather, sound, and so on (+ cars, tracks). This is enough and with the better connectivity and starting speed of the ps4 it just makes it more fun to play. But i see the Point in a ps3 release too but i dont see it hinder a ps4 version either rather the opposite.

How about car exhaust sounds? Didn't see anything about it, might have had my eyes closed though. Hopefully they make it so us poor people can have good sound on our TV speakers.

There is no reason why we can't cancel our orders and place it somewhere else.

Quote~
Speaking at today’s Gran Turismo 15th Anniversary event at Silverstone racetrack in England, Yamauchi told IGN, “We actually do have a PlayStation 4 version in mind, but for this holiday season, we thought it would be best for users to release on PS3 for now.”

Players eager to race around the world’s most iconic stadiums in all their next generation glory may want to put their brakes on though. Yamauchi adds, “I thought the best scenario would be to have the game come out, then to have new scenarios, new DLC and other updates. Once the players have thoroughly played out the system, if the PlayStation 4 version came out naturally, as part of that process, I think that would be the best scenario.”

I'm not seeing your "It's safe to say" reasoning. All I'm getting is the usual ambiguity.

This is likely to be the first GT title I won't get, simply because it will be a PS3 title. I don't see the point in buying a game that will be old just a couple of months after it's released.
