Gran Turismo 6 coming to PS3

It's already shaping up like an awesome game. The car list is looking beter and beter. Maybe Kaz finally had de guts to cross the japanese border! Hope the sounds wil be better dan GT5 :)

Well Well Well Leaving Silverstone, was trying to get more gameplay videos but they had to throw me out! Really happy with GT6 physics.\

If Jordan is really happy, then I'm sold.

From the many screenshots and videos it really looks like they tried adding more life to the track. The lighting is amazing on the Silverstone pics, a whole lot better than the baked, jaggy-filled, and plain dull aura of GT5.

Now the sounds. The sounds. The sounds. The SOUNDS. Please fix them!

Will they be fixing the problems with the cars already in GT5, I wonder? Like how all but one of the LMP cars have dramatically inflated power numbers, for example.

Will a new physics engine make that no longer necessary for them to still be faster than most everything else?

Did anyone else notice when they said GT6 will be on PS3, the room was silent during allotted pause for applause? I think that is confirmation for Kaz push for a dual release or release GT6vPS4 in Q1 2014. In contrast, when GT6 was announced just prior, the room erupted. I have no problem buying GT6v3 in November and then buy my PS4 (with GT6v4) in Feb, as planned, when we get our tax refund.

Looks like it may happen after all. We just don't know when of course...

Seeing some of those screesn it seems that Autumn ring has been improved and Silverstone have Day to night transition and Weather (some pics has different illumination and cars' beams are ON, also you can see some of the silverstone pics have clouds an others not) mmm

EDIT: Also Autumn Ring seems to have different light conditions in every screenshot

Yes I was looking at that too. Strange that they are not giving info in those areas.

At least they took one of the most important ones as PHYSICS.

Still missing those day/night/weather cycles and realistic engine sounds on my "wishlist".

Gameplay videos.. can someone put up a link or two please? I've only seen the official trailer.

Was just copying Jordan's tweet I'm sure he will post them along side Kaz's interview (assuming he did ask him anything though he didn't mention anything about how it went).

Looking over the wings I'm cautiously optimistic.

Two things are bothering me though..

1) How many of them are car specific
2) Are they paint-able.

Looking forward to new information but it took mere hours to chew everything that has been delivered so far..

As for people anxious about the Q&A with Kaz and gameplay, he's probably setting up the Q&A post if he's back at wherever he's staying, then he'll probably do gameplay after. He had to leave so he'll get to the hotel/whatever and get them up I'm sure. Big thanks to Jordan for all of the coverage. 👍

I still find it kinda odd how some people are concerned that there may only be "up to 100 new cars"...if even half of these are as interesting as the LCC Rocket, X-Bow or Dino, that's a lot of very very cool cars :)

Also what is up with this attitude that as soon as the PS4 is released, anything PS3-related is completely redundant? If you want state of the art gaming, get a gaming rig. If you enjoy gaming generally, don't count out a generation of consoles the minute something new drops.

This vague sentence could cause as much consternation as GT5's "interior view" wording about Standards. Remember how long some people argued it meant we'd get a cockpit view? This could mean a livery editor... it could also, technically, mean the exact same level of customization we currently have.

When I initially read being able to 'create your own personalized custom cars' and thought of that mystery white car in the first trailer I almost fell from my chair.
But after watching the full video of the presentation where it just gets a casual remark (whilst what I first thought would be a revolutionary new feature) I'm holding my horses.

It could indeed mean something we currently have with some more possibilties (if at all) or they don't want to reveal it yet if it's indeed more than that.
I'm certainly not expecting a car creator function anymore, although that would be something that would get me past complaining about Standard cars.

I went on Autumn Ring to compare the visuals/quality.

Looks like Autumn Ring is boasting day/night. I think they will push for more day/night and weather. You can also tell the higher HDR is really boasting better visuals overall but I know day/night does too.

Nice:tup:. Interesting, even if it's not variable day/night I feel like the evening setting in the 2nd suits the course better.

One of my biggest gripes with GT5. There is no race-atmosphere at all in GT5. Also, I'd love there to be pieces of rubber lying next to the racing line, similar to NFS: Shift 2. And black smoke coming from the brakes after heavy breaking.

I hope that PD adds even more stuff to make the racing feel more alive.

I can trust gamestop but I never bought anything from Amazon before.

I pretty much buy everything I need from Amazon. I never really go to Target, or Wal-Mart anymore, unless of cuorse it's something urgent. With Prime shipping stuff arrives fast and safe and UPS doesn't deliver to my 'hood until 5pm when I'm home.

Their reviews are really helpful too. My sister in-law had some items stolen from her porch during the day a couple times (Richmond, CA) and they've replaced the items each time, no (okay, few) questions asked. Their customer service is top notch, add to that a whopping variety of, well, everything and getting it shipped fast AND consistent? It's great 👍

But like others have mentioned, I'd wait until maybe August or something to pre-order. They'll probably have a similar pre-order bonanza like in GT5 where Gamestop, Amazon, Bestbuy, Wal-Mart, etc. will all have different pre-order bonuses

Agreed, but to an extent only having 100 new cars isn't so bad it's if older cars will be getting premium treatment. If they can up the number from 200 or 300 to 600 or even 750 that would make me happy.

As for the rest of the post I agree plus at the beginning of new consoles you don't miss a whole lot. But at the end of a console life you begin to miss a lot. Think about Okami and Persona 3 and 4 for starters.

Late quote but:

I think G.T. Ace is going to be very happy about that feature. He recently made a track for rFactor so I can easily see this as something he'll enjoy.

Hell yeah! Already thought about sending someone back to the Petersberg, so I can put it in GT5. :D

I agree, the 2nd pic is way more fitting for an Autumn setting! It looks great with the new increased HDR, also edges of course look smoothed up too?

The road texture looks lower resolution, so I'm thinking rain, not day to night.

EDIT: Maybe a dynamic shadow?

Their engines are air restricted IRL, but still put out 600hp+. Compare the size of the airbox with that of F1 cars, it's like they're breathing through a straw! But having certain 'restrictor sizes' like real life would be a welcome addition. Also their tire wear could be better represented. You can't go triple stinting them at Sarthe in GT5 like the R18 and TS030 do either!

GT6 vs Drive Club visuals, thoughts?

BTW look at the trees on autumring in GT6 they are softer and look 3D.

Why not both? :D

EDIT: If you looks at the sky there's a way different skybox and dots of clouds, does that on day/night courses a lot. Usually the sky isn't that clear on any premade skyboxes.
