Gran Turismo 6 coming to PS3

Did you read the following posts? Already called out as not legit.

You clearly missed the part where I acknowledged it was late (Meaning I did read said posts). I further elaborated on why it was fake unlike said posts however.

I think we're misinterpreting what that GPS feature actually is.

If it isn't using a smart phone's GPS to record a trip from A to B, then I'm open to hear what you think it could be?

I also wanted to point out... Seems PD moved onto image based lighting. Cars reflections didn't look this good during driving, sometimes not even in special photo mode locations. Forza 4 implemented image based lighting for this reason as well. Glad GT6 is also running tessellation.

These are the layouts I think will be used. Since it was said there will be seven.

Arena GP Layout

Bridge GP Layout

Historic GP Layout

International Layout

National Layout

Southern Layout

Stowe Layout

This looks very next gen.

And love the soft shadows in the interior.

I highly doubt it's that hahaha

I presume it would depend on how far away A and B are.

It might be ok if it's only a few kilometres but I doubt we'll be seeing anything above that i.e. 10-15 kilometres ( I could be wrong though!)

Might just be the map display style

Your guess is as good as mine

No, acknowledging you were late to respond in no way confirms you also read the following posts, hence my question. Anyway, it's all good :)

Stowe Layout

If you look at the overhead shots of Silverstone, Stowe is just an image. I am not saying it is not in the game as it could be a separate map with the outer track low res, which would make sense tbh. I am just saying I have not seen this layout in driveable form, hopefully it is in though.

And the point of posting that image yet again is what, gtone?

Don't understand either, I don't see anything new apart from Special Stage Route 11. Also, I surprised nobody notice one of the Question mark tracks was just Tokyo R246 on its side.

with dynamic lighting that is not possible...

Forza runs both HDR and image based lighting. As pulled from wiki (it's a credible source most of the time, not like it used to be) "Image-based lighting often uses high dynamic range imaging for greater realism, though this is not universal." Unless you're meaning day/night cycles. I don't see why it couldn't.

Smartphones will be used for nothing more than social features.

"At the same time as the PS3 version of GT6 the “Real Driving Simulator” launches, a mobile version and web application version of GT6, will be created to enjoy Gran Turismo’s massive community space."

As for the course maker feature:

"The improved course maker function will provide gorgeous scenery spanning several tens of square kilometers including the magnificent backdrop of Andalucía."

It simply means you'll only be able to create a track using pre-modeled locations by PD. It will be like themes and more will be released as time goes by. In the presentation, Kaz specified the location he showed by saying that we can build a track based on it. I don't think we'll be able to model or scan our local neighborhood by simply using the smartphone.

I might not be the first one to notice this, but you can actually see the driver's face.. I don't think any of the helmets (except the gt academy one) had that.

Well you could, but the light had to hit at just the right angle in order to do so otherwise it was just reflections. I did see that here though, its far less reflective and is easily more noticeable.

Also, you could actually see faces in the WRC suits (with the helmets).

I wonder if since this was in Top Gear land, if anyone journalists there asked if PD still have the Top Gear rights. It's one of my favorite tracks to run on, I hope it's still in.

We know Bathurst is in, so that's one of seven locations down.
Silverstone is 2 of 7.
Are there any others we know for sure are in?
I wonder how many more of the 7 will be real world locations.
I hope Sanoma is in.
With only 7 being added, that shatters my hopes of one being Bristol.
But since all GT5's cars are in, NASCAR is still in the game, so I've got my fingers crossed for some NASCAR track DLC. The new NASCARs are going to look nice in game, too. I can't wait for this, damn it !!!!

Better tone your expectations down regarding the amount of tracks, at least for the initially released version of GT6.

As I explained in another thread:

"Environment" is PD's lingo for "track" as in "venue".

So GT6 at release date will have 33 tracks and 71 track layouts in total, meaning, as they state 7 more tracks and 19 more track layouts compared to the "vanilla" version of GT5 (which has 26 tracks/venues and 52 layouts in total). Problem is, if we factor in GT5 DLC released over time, this increases to 30 tracks/60 layouts (excluding reverse ones), so GT6 at release would only have 3 new tracks and 11 more layouts, although apparently according to rumors, the Top Gear Test Track might get replaced with something else, leaving room for one new track.

I might not be the first one to notice this, but you can actually see the driver's face.. I don't think any of the helmets (except the gt academy one) had that.

Also, the cars badge is on the top of the helmet. Little thing but it could be something cool :P

If tracks won't be fixed or redone (Grand Valley, Trial Mountain, etc), then it would be quite of a kick in the head for us fans. Those tracks are very ugly, and need some work. :yuck:
