Gran Turismo 6 coming to PS3

Is it really safe to expect an update to some GT5 tracks?? Some of them look terribly, for example: Laguna Seca. You can easily see that it's an GTx track that was just given an HD upgrade but still compared to Spa or Nurburgring kind of detail...

Why does damage matter? They can use the Processor for other things then damage, get forza or grid if you want damage.

It says Real driving Simulator ,crashing into a wall at 100 MPH and getting a dent only kind of defeats the Real part doesn't it.

I'm sorry but "Buy X game if you want Y" is a terrible rebuttal to someone wanting a feature that is perfectly reasonable in the game at hand. As in this case, asking for damage in a game that is trying to simulate realistic world driving and racing is perfectly reasonable. Telling them to buy another game if they want it is a cop out.

"Hi McDonalds, I'd like tomato sauce on my Burger please"
"Go get a burger from Burger King if you want sauce on it!"

You know the funny thing? When I go to both McDonalds or BK I usually ask to remove some stuff. I hate Mayonese and Onions. Nasty stuff.

Maybe I love GT because it have no onions? :D But I agree that people that love onions will be upset :(

My God. Burger-to-racing-game analogy. Things are getting funny here. At least funny is better than irritating. Have a nice day/night all of you. :)

Pathetic, just pathetic. GT5 spec III is what this is. Not buying this game,
Why are you asking for wheel support then? That is pathetic!

Dear god, just let it be!
ZOMG

If he's still here in January playing GT6, I am SO going to razz him.

Since things are kinda getting better, I'll stop. Really, I will, and I won't jump anyone unless the "purposely" whining begins again. haha.
Aw, come on. I look forward to seeing these post with a blue wolf/fox/whatever, and all the enthusiastic gushing, because you express my own giddy joy for me. :D

By the way, two of those questions from that Kotaku guy... meh.

No worries, I made a list of all "I'm never on earth going to buy GT6" members.

I'm serious, I really did.

EDIT: And the list is growing...

Seriously, did you just join GTP on the Silverstone Event day to let us all know how bad you think it's going to be? That's pathetic.

Hm, nice idea. I should do that too. The results will be interesting when GT6 becomes available.

As long as you stay within the AUP, stick to your guns sir!

Aw thanks guys. :D Alright, I'll indeed will. 👍

WOW every day gt6 looks worse and worse, GT 5 a realistic sim, where you can punt, and crash into cars and walls on your way to win lol.

You see Simon? This guy is just purposely complaining, and isn't getting over himself....

bigspleen if you don't like GT6 that much, than why do you even care? :irked:

A whopper without onions is not a whopper. A racing game/sim without visible damage still is a racing game/sim, though mechanical damage would be a nice addition.

Oh god, possibly the three questions I'm least interested in.

What do I care if the bottoms of cars is correctly modeled or not?
And the last question... unnecessary high ten.

Hahahaha right.

Remember that crap storm about one of the premium cars having giant screws on the bottom of the car. I forget which one it is though.

1. If you licence a race series, does it ever occur to you that you should put all the cars and tracks of that series in the game?

2. If you decide to model a car because it's cool, or it happened to win Le Mans, does it occur to you to also model appropriate competition for it?

3. In this day of big resource driven systems and games do you think not expanding your team to take this into account is a good idea?

Edit. I posted this in the wrong place. :dunce:

I meant to post it here.

Never mind.

All very valid questions.

The beef is the mechanical damage, physics is the bun, other ingredients makes the whopper (game) greater but is up to you to decide what do you want in it (what features you will use).

I had a feeling you picked the wrong thread, but these are good questions. On #3, the admitted team size of 130 has grown to an admitted team size of 150, so that's something.

The first two, I've been harping on off and on for a few years now, since GT4 was released. I want a bunch of racing leagues represented in Gran Turismo, even if they have to make fantasy leagues like Formula GT. But in order to do so, even in the case of Rally as I like rallycross, there needs to be enough cars available in that league and class to flesh out a field. Likewise, the venues need to suit the league. DTM cars on a Tuscana desert road course... no, just no. :P There need to be more locations like Midfield, Deep Forest and Trial Mountain for that kind of thing, Japanese locations for Super GT, American tracks for ALMS and any SCCA stuff, and so on.

With the online club and league features PD will be giving us in GT6, along with just the single player offline game, they need to properly support stuff like this.

Switzerland 3 - 0 USA

We're in the 🤬 final!!!

Darn you Swiss. Mutter.

OK - guys a couple of things:

1. Keep it on topic
2. Stop the bickering and personal digs.

Anyone forgetting the above will be taking a 24 hour break.

Ah yeah, we shouldn't forget the gamescom.
In the presentation it said more to unveil on E3 and Gamescom (in other words).

I just Hope that THIS TIME!!! PD/Sony will treat the biggest market as it should be, the first step is the Silverstone event.
