Gran Turismo 6 coming to PS3

Yup, looked at the Part 3, i was wrong my bad, does not look AI in my opinion.

Sorry.

But if the AI is this aggressive in GT6 Sweet :dopey:
Although the driving looked quite smooth. So it's either a better and aggressive AI or two good drivers having some fun with driving.

900 degree steering was removed because they couldn't get the animations to work right, I believe.

Does that mean the steering wheels won't work? If that's the case I Won't play it lol

Come to think of it now, showing 900 degree steering while playing with a controller would be a bit disconcerting/strange looking from the cockpit view. At least for me anyways. I would think if anything, make it an option to turn it on for true wheel users.

Only thing is that, PD has royally screwed up the dirt/snow driving experience on the wheel for me. They limited the degrees of steering on dirt/snow tracks (which makes absolutely no sense to me). I really hope they fix that in GT6.

Honestly it gets annoying while playing on my G27. I wish they will take the driver's hands off the wheel. Then make the wheel turn the full 900 degrees. Or just simply remove the driver completely. Make a opinion to switch this on and off. I like the fact most PC sims I have played have this option.

Thats actually a great idea. I never use cockpit view because the steering and hands is kind of distracting for me, but if it was just the wheel rotating, I'd probably be okay.

They were talking about the animation, not the actual input.

Yeah, I see that now. I got a little confused with tornado's post back there. Nevermind then.

I do hope they make some kind of options like i mentioned above

Thanks. Same here. It does tend to distract me too. The hands are the biggest issue for me. Also thinking of it, if they removed the hands on the wheel, they wouldn't have to do as much animation. All they would have to do it make the 900 degree animation instead of the hand over hand animation.

I like the idea, i hope there's a option to remove the wheel like LFS. Would be a cool feature imo for wheel users.

The problem is that while countersteering these animations could be too slow. An additional problem is the way too high steering sensitivity Is present while countersteering. It may help to recover a slide easier while driving, but it is a pain if you drift. So, instead of letting the steering work by itself, you have to force it in a way you dont have to in real.

I hope there will be atleast an option for the sensitivity and no "hidden" sensitivity aid. I personally think that a 900 degree steering animation just wont work for drifting ingame. In reality you have the intuation when you have to grab the wheel and when to let it slide. Its not possible in a game. That is why the shifting animations are also slower than the shifts. I think it is a thing that can get perfected for GT 7 or 8.

One thing a PS3 release is good for is that G27 and Fanatec wheels can be purchased for a reasonable price now.

Yep. I just want those hands gone.

Once again. Probably removing the hands is probably best for everyone.

Yes I'd be happy if they removed hands, I don't like the animations anyway. The important thing if you have the wheel showing is that it behaves like a real steering wheel, it can't be this dampened smoothed out rubbish like in GT5. Never mind the fact that it's stupid rotation just makes the car look like it's yawing weirdly.

I somehow doubt they will though.

When did this stupid under-rotation of the wheel become acceptable anyway?

Personally I hate seeing an on screen wheel spinning with no hand animations :)

Yeh I'm with you on that one. Every video I see of games that do that it just looks very odd to watch, IMO. Doesn't project cars have it so the driver goes hand over hand if you turn the wheel further?

I would much rather see that and have 1-to-1 animations.

Next gen I want the PS eye to capture my hand and finger movement and implement them in the game,That way I can have a victory lap and wave to the imaginary stewards in my head

What better way to use gesture control than displaying your hand signals to your online opponents instead? ;)

That is too good to be fake. I'm very interested in this.

Even if it is fake, it's still interesting. Reminds me of the Nike Car, I'd like to see odd cars like that or this return to GT6. The locations on the map are intriguing.

That car actually went around quite some months ago as a GT5 DLC car. Just some guys somewhere who drew up a concept and used some GT5 pictures to throw it in.
