Maybe my wish would be full-filled with GT8 but I really want an NC and NB Miata, Cadillac V-series coupes and sedans, Bentley, Rolls Royce and more Jaguar/Land Rover products. Also, where's my 5, 6 and 7 series BMWs, Audi S4, S6 and S8s, MB S, E and C class, more Hyundai/Kia products? Plus, Lotus (and other Chinese owned brands) need to return/be added. The same effort to add 4 different versions of the same vehicle could be directed towards new, unique, desirable models. This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:
Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.54 Will Add These Five Cars, New Sophy Courses, and Rotiform Wheels
Fresh off the back of the 1.54 update for Gran Turismo 7 being made available to preload on PlayStation 5 consoles, Polyphony Digital has now revealed the contents for the patch which arrives tomorrow...

I feel the same way waiting for new McLaren MP4/4 or Not A Lotus 98T events.A new expensive 50's racer, 3 new events added to World Circuits, yet we're stuck with zero events for classic race cars.
I naively thought this was the perfect opportunity, will that day come?
Modern Super GT500 and GT300 cars is what we need, it's essential for a game like Gran TurismoReally want new race cars. Updated GTP cars, updated gt3 cars....ITS TIME!!!
No it’s not, it’s never been this wayModern Super GT500 and GT300 cars is what we need, it's essential for a game like Gran Turismo
Totally agreed, modern Japanese GT racing is heavily underrepresented in video games, and Gran Turismo should be the game to change it.Modern Super GT500 and GT300 cars is what we need, it's essential for a game like Gran Turismo
If that’s just showcasing multiplayer with AI traffic(regardless of the slow cars as traffic for this clip), cool. If it’s linking cars together by cruising(a la Forza), that’s something that may be in a future update.
Sure they can, they've done it for a year now.Last year November with the Spec 2.0 trailer, we saw the clip at Tokyo Expressway with the three cars driving in tandem. SOPHY has learned Tokyo Expressway. I’m still thinking more has to come with SOPHY learning. Again, PD can’t just put this clip in and not do something with it.
If there's one thing I've learned from two years and a thousand posts here, it's that trying to logic out "PD will eventually do XYZ because they did ABC in the past" never actually works correctly, they just don't work that way.Last year November with the Spec 2.0 trailer, we saw the clip at Tokyo Expressway with the three cars driving in tandem. Has been posted numerous times.Anyone else not seeing an update for today? I installed the update this morning but I am not seeing any new cars added to the game. Is it for tomorrow? I am only using about 12% storage used on the PS5.
tbh, the 996 generation of Porsche 911's don't really get any love or recognition other than the 996 GT3, which while yes is a fantastic trim model, there are much more versions of it which are much more powerful and much more intimidating like the 996 Turbo or Turbo S, the GT3RS, GT2, and the GT2RS.Username checks out.
However, yes, the majority of Western players got to know JGTC and Super GT thanks to Gran Turismo, each game in the series had new cars in the same GT500 or GT300 category, only Gran Turismo 7 remained in prehistory with Super GT models which are retired 8 years ago.No it’s not, it’s never been this way
They haven’t done it in a way to race with players in tandem. Single player races, Custom Race or Lobby.Sure they can, they've done it for a year now.
I know they don’t. I say it myself. This is just very specific, as we can not do that clip in the game at all. No AI traffic option in any mode of the game. There must be more to it.If there's one thing I've learned from two years and a thousand posts here, it's that trying to logic out "PD will eventually do XYZ because they did ABC in the past" never actually works correctly, they just don't work that way.
The castrol supra is not the entirety of Gran Turismo now is it????
Castrol Supra?!
There are 400+ cars outside of Super GT that Gran turismo offersHowever, yes, the majority of Western players got to know JGTC and Super GT thanks to Gran Turismo, each game in the series had new cars in the same GT500 or GT300 category, only Gran Turismo 7 remained in prehistory with Super GT models which are retired 8 years ago.
Yes. I mean I would even be thrilled if the UCD had oddball modified versions of the typical UCD inventory, especially if some of those modifications were not normally doable such as mix-and-match OEM wheels (how about an EG6 with DC2 ITR wheels? or a base 350z with the amuse wing?) and aero parts where plausible or custom liveries. It would give me some reason to check the UCD from time to time other than trying to acquire a specific color that I can probably already get via GT Auto. It's the one thing I'm excited for in assetto Corsa. Being able to choose spec and version of cars sounds childishly fun
No as in, "they can't just put the clip and not do something with it" - yes they can, they've not done anything with it for a year now, they can very easily continue to not do something with it.They haven’t done it in a way to race with players in tandem. Single player races, Custom Race or Lobby.
You connected via smoke signals or something??🤣 j/kI think I have a little bit of time for a cup of coffee on this one…
The 930 and 993 had the intercooler mounted on top of the engine, which is not the ideal location for a heat exchanger. On the 996 and later cars they were moved behind the rear wheels and fed air from those giant fender scoops.ALl 992s are ugly in my eyes, but yes I agree with you. Turbos used to have their intercoolers where the whale tail was. But they stopped doing that (after the 996 generation, or maybe it died with the aircooled 993 before that).
There was no GT2 RS until the 997. Strangely, there was no 'standard' GT2 in the 991 generation.tbh, the 996 generation of Porsche 911's don't really get any love or recognition other than the 996 GT3, which while yes is a fantastic trim model, there are much more versions of it which are much more powerful and much more intimidating like the 996 Turbo or Turbo S, the GT3RS, GT2, and the GT2RS.
GT League is only a fancier way of presenting events like the ones already in GT7. It’s not what I would call a proper career mode. Since the beginning GT has utilized campaigns driven by various progression criteria.I wish they would bring back GT League from Sport. There is more than enough cars/tracks to be able to make a fun proper career mode.
