Gran Turismo 7 “April” Update Content Predictions…

Not sure we'll see much new content in the game, but we might see 3 café menus and events associated with them. We may even see time trials.

We will also see things from their 'known issues' list addressed.
What makes you think only 3 cafe menus is enough to suffice this outrage? That's oddly specific. I'd expect at least a content drop if PD has any sense.

The game teased Apricot Hill
Vanila who has datamined GT sport 100% predicted Trail Mountain , Daytona , and road atlanta because they have working skyboxes in GT sport , Watkins glen does not .
So Either apricot hill or Road atlanta

Apricot Hill was in GT6. GT7 has all the GT Sport fictional tracks already so I reckon Road Atlanta is a better choice to come first.
Then again if they want to appeal even more to nostalgia they might pick Apricot Hill

I think they will realise half of sport mode QoL things from GTSport are missing and port them over such as the chat and lap times and server stability

If it's anything like GT Sport, car wise, i would assume they would focus more on adding returning cars from the series (especially Japanese cars) rather than all new models.

Could be something like this (Just a speculative example):

• Ford Shelby GT500 '13 (Returning from GT6)

• Lamborghini Reventon '08 (Returning from GT6, was mentioned in the credits among other Lamborghini models in GT Sport, much of which have actually returned since)

•Lexus LFA Nürburgring Package '12 (Returning from GT6)

• Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR '05 (Returning from PS3 Era games)

• Nissan SILVIA K's AERO (S14) '96 (Returning from past GT Games, first time as a proper Premium model).

• RUF CTR Yellowbird '87 (Returning from past GT Games, is actually mentioned in GT7's credits).

The all-new cars that have been added in GT Sport and GT7 were more all over the place so I can't really predict anything. I would assume that the Tesla Model 3 will be added at some point. They would maybe add the new GR Corolla or another 911 since Polyphony seem to have a hard on for Toyota's and Porsche's lol.

Do we have any idea on a timeframe for this big 'early april' update? I still have the non cafe World Circuit events to do but feels a bit silly to do them now before they put in the promised 100% credit increases.

10-15 cars
Either a new track or two, and possibly new layouts to existing ones
Majority of updates to the economy and bug fixes
Couple of surprises here and there

Probably just lowering of more payouts for events.
They will probably increase todays payouts by 100%,bringing them to just under the original amounts. They will be less than the nerfed payouts but they will have been increase by 100% as promised!
On a serious note, nobody knows.Hopefully by this time next week we will be happy campers,im going to Devon for a week so no GT7 for me,i dont even know if there is a decent 4g signal where we are going so dont know if i can even follow GT planet.lol

What about some more legend cars over 20M, while leaving our cap at 20M? For sure it could stabilize the points at metascore! 😁

Good spotting on the Yellowbird and Reventon in the credits, @ToyGTone ! I haven't checked, but, sounds good!
No guarantee they'll be in this next update, but surely some time, and the Yellowbird is just as iconic in GT as a TS020, definitely expecting both by Xmas. Worst case scenario, references to them in the credits refer to them appearing somewhere in Museum mode (RUF has a museum, right?)

I'd expect a majority of the Premiums to return eventually, especially those that debuted in GT6. Perhaps we can start with at least one of the five roadgoing, Premium Subaru WRXs that never got added to Sport? The Version VI Type R and 22B are excellent (cycle into the UCD already!), but think how chuffed Rexy fans would be if GT had 7 plus WRXs again, and if we're doing new Super-Premiums, Bugeye! Bugeye all day, maybe even the wagon!

Hold on, this is predictions, not wishlists, nevertheless, a bit of optimism.

Fix Predictions:
Less navigation insanity: A simple garage shortcut on the top bar, or some way to change car on the World Circuit page, without clicking on an event that the car I want to change into is eligible for, because I can't go to a track while in a car that has the wrong tyres, and currently, for some mad reason, need to find the change car button on a Sunday Cup race to get into/out of some cars.
Economic Changes: 800PP races having their payouts at least doubled so the enormous difficulty is worth it, and hopefully some better reward for Circuit Experience (Tsukuba is easy, but if you can Gold the Nordschleife, honestly, you deserve 1,000,000+Cr. What time did The Maestro get?)

If April gets a big content update:
Events, maybe Cafe, maybe not, but something for IB/IA/S licenses with suitable pay.
7 to 14 cars - two parts returning Premiums, one-part former Standards, one-part New-to-series.
Apricot Hill - it is April. Aprilcot.

Online lobby options ported over from GTSport: able to address people in the chat by clicking their name, "pre-recorded" messages like hello etc, host gets the options to change settings within the lobby, ability to kick people, ability to transfer the ownership of the lobby and all the other options the Sport has. Hopefully.

Anyone finding that EVERY daily ticket gives the lowest prize? Every time without fail. Absolutely pointless
More often than not. Got the Golf GTI 2 days in a row yesterday and day before and then 2k today. Worthless.

For now it will be good if they:
  • Increase payouts for events.
  • Multiply the events x2 at least.
  • Repairing the roulette so that there is an equal chance of winning each prize.

There is nothing worse in a single player racing game than having nothing else to do after 3 weeks of play. And I don't play a lot because I have children and work to do.

In terms of new car/track content, I wouldn’t be surprised given PD’s Toyota partnership that we get the GR Corolla (we got the Supra, Yaris, abd GR86 pretty quick), possibly in multiple trims. Apricot Hill’s outline has been teased since pre-launch so that also wouldn’t surprise me.

I’m also catching a whiff of Cappuccino…

Some of the rain challenges are too hard. Even if you change to novice you cant catch the AI who never slides.
A novice can’t get gold and the seasoned guys say it’s too easy. Make it hard for the expert drivers who want the challenge and easier for the novice. It is so debilitating trying and trying and not making progress because you hit puddles and fly off the road And the AI just keeps on trucking.

The roulette is crap. In GT Sport you got cars you had but rarely the expensive cars. This roulette gives you a few coins but it cost hundreds of thousands and millions to purchase a car and you get a pence.

One track real or fictional, Silverstone or Grand Valley

6 cars total, one legend, one road car new to game 2018-2023 year model, four updated cars from GT5-GT6

Updates to some current tracks in the game, maybe some new course layouts to existing ones (example: Suzuka West Course)

New cafe books

I hope to see the Toyota TS050-Hybrid 2018 added very soon. April is really quite likely, and the GR010 Hybrid, which I am pretty confident is also coming, could be kept for June when 24h du Mans is on.

A generic 2022-spec Formula One car really needs to be added. Surely only a matter of time right?

I personally don't really worry much about the payouts, as I have never completed my car collections in the previous main GT titles. I would definitely want to see more cars and tracks in the future updates though.
