Hi All, first post here for me and quite a long one. I'm having big issus with Gran Turismo 7 and thought i'd post here for all.
I bought the game on release day and was playing the game fine, didnt have any issues until 1.06 was released which I believe was 11th March 2022. At least this is when my issues started.
I had just completed the International-B license when my game decided to crash out and send me back to the PS5 main menu telling me my game had crashed and I could upload the crash dump etc. At this point I thought it must be a one off and was hoping i'd go back in to the game and continue - this was not the case. Since this happened, I am UNABLE to access the license centre at all. If i attempt it then the game just crashes out. I then decided to try and purchase a car from the Used Cars section - Again the game crashes out straight after purchasing.
So for me at the moment the game is pretty much totally unplayable. I can race a very limited amount of races available to me at this time due to me not being far enough in the game.
This week I raised it with PlayStation and they have been VERY unhelpful. I had to upload 2 seperate videos showing how I produce the errors and from this they came back to me with normal troubleshooting. Below is the email straight from PS UK support

1. Please check that the game(s) is/are updated to the latest version. You can do this by highlighting each game on the Content Launcher and pressing Options > Check for Update.
2. Make sure you are using the latest version of system software. You can check this by selecting Settings > System Software Update.
3. If you continue to have issues, then you will need to rebuild your database. Rebuilding your database helps clean up the data on your PlayStation device as it reorganises the storage. To rebuild your database start with the console off > press and hold the power button until you hear two beeps > select option 5 - Rebuild Database.
4. If you're still having issues, you will need to reinstall your console. Initialising your PlayStation device will delete all data. Before you do this, please back up your data using a USB or PS Plus Online Storage. You can find instructions on how to reinstall your console on our website: https://www.playstation.com/support/hardware/reinstall-playstation-system-software-safe-mode/.
5. After reinstalling, please:
a) Reinstall the game(s). Please ensure you re-download using a wired connection.
b) relaunch the game(s) before reinstalling any game saves. It may be that the saved data has become corrupted, which is why the game(s) crashed.
6. If you own a PS4 and have replaced the hard disc drive (HDD), please reinstall the original (if you still have it) and try again.

None of the above worked for me. Today I decided to bite the bullet and despite the 20 hours I've put in to the game already I decided I would delete my saved game and start again thinking it could be a corrupt save. I deleted my game off both my Console and also from PS Plus cloud thinking it would just start a fresh. This wasn't the case. Not sure how it does this but when I launch the game it automatically pulls my last save (this must be from Polyphony servers) and I then am stuck in the same loop. So it seems at the moment that its impossible for us to actually delete our saved data.
Anyway at the moment i'm waiting for PS to get back to me within 48 hours like they state to me and I'll see what they say, im guessing they wont be able to help though. I've seen on the main menu of GT that they have some "Planned Server Maintenance" tomorrow (17th March 22), so im hoping this could resolve my issue but we will see.
I hope none of you are having the issues i'm having.
