Gran Turismo 7 Bug Reports

I don't know if this is intended or not, but Vangelis' "Chariots of Fire" was playing on repeat in the menus once I got the menu book for the GT World Championship (the first Gr.3 championship). It was literally the only song that played in the main menu.

This is the first time in any Gran Turismo game I've had to turn the menu music completely off.
It's intentional. It stops once you do the championship and close out that menu book.

Not sure if a bug, but I've noticed on the 10 lap races with tyres and fuel and weather dynamics in world circuits that weather is a bit wild.
For example, last night on Dragon Trail Gardens WTC700, starting bright and sunny on lap 3 with rain never having shown on the radar and with no rain having fallen at any point (but with greying skies) and my wipers never being activated by rain, I suddenly hit half the rainmeter's depth of water on the last corner, but without the track looking visibly wet and throwing up spray until halfway along the straight. I then suffered through lap 4 aquaplaning constantly on an entirely flooded track with zero rain or warning until I could get into the pits for inters and fuel. The other drivers who I saw were on slicks when they pitted seemed to have zero problems driving perfectly in the wet. A few laps later, the sun came out and suddenly there was a dry line all around the track, but the rainmeter still showed as half full the rest of the race.

I don't know If this has already been reported but I was driving my 911 GT1 on N24 and as my friend got close to me, his graphics went completely mad ... He couldn't get nearer than 50m to me or this would happen (see attached pictures)

Ok I have just encountered a bug that destroys the game for me.....
I wanted to join a 550 online race with my Alpine, which I spenthours tuning, setting up and time trialling.
I couldnt join because I have sports soft tires and only hards were allowed. The game then put my car automatically on sports hard and reset my setup.. Ok no biggie... I try a different lobby only to find ALL MY SETUPS FOR THE CAR ARE GONE.
I am absolutely GUTTED that I lost hours of work.
I tried going into single player, no setups. Tried switiching to a different car and back, no setups... I tried restarting the game, well you know the rest.

I feel destroyed, I dont have a lot of time to play and then this happens. 90% of my game time so far went into that car.

Applied a downloaded Livery which required that I pay for something. Probably paint. No big deal, but I would prefer to know what I am buying...

Anyone knows why some of my decals, are like this when I open them to big picture?

It's invisible.
Uploaded fine without any issues, and they are visible in my library.

Thanks for any help.

I don't think it a sever issue it's more like a game issue at this stage, just re-install GT7 and let us know the outcome.
Re-installing fixed the issue! Also what might help is deleting the cache data!
Well, we are in the same process. Tbh im kinda disappointed. 1.06 ver ftw yaaaaay. I ll also let you know. Maybe another bug will show up :P
Oh yeah the game has a few issues but what can ya do. They will fix it I'm updates I'm sure
What a bizarre glitch! I didn't even know Brand Central cars could "sell out". In the last two or three pages here this has been the first actually new bug posted here. Did reinstalling the game change anything?
Yes Re-installing fixed the game for me :)

Race C seems to be bugged for me on ps4 pro. Two times on different days, after the warmup I get an error message error ce-34878-0 and the game crashes. Race B also crashed once but didn't crash the game. Race B worked the second time. I'm in the Northeast US.

Hi All, first post here for me and quite a long one. I'm having big issus with Gran Turismo 7 and thought i'd post here for all.

I bought the game on release day and was playing the game fine, didnt have any issues until 1.06 was released which I believe was 11th March 2022. At least this is when my issues started.

I had just completed the International-B license when my game decided to crash out and send me back to the PS5 main menu telling me my game had crashed and I could upload the crash dump etc. At this point I thought it must be a one off and was hoping i'd go back in to the game and continue - this was not the case. Since this happened, I am UNABLE to access the license centre at all. If i attempt it then the game just crashes out. I then decided to try and purchase a car from the Used Cars section - Again the game crashes out straight after purchasing.

So for me at the moment the game is pretty much totally unplayable. I can race a very limited amount of races available to me at this time due to me not being far enough in the game.

This week I raised it with PlayStation and they have been VERY unhelpful. I had to upload 2 seperate videos showing how I produce the errors and from this they came back to me with normal troubleshooting. Below is the email straight from PS UK support

==================================================
1. Please check that the game(s) is/are updated to the latest version. You can do this by highlighting each game on the Content Launcher and pressing Options > Check for Update.

2. Make sure you are using the latest version of system software. You can check this by selecting Settings > System Software Update.

3. If you continue to have issues, then you will need to rebuild your database. Rebuilding your database helps clean up the data on your PlayStation device as it reorganises the storage. To rebuild your database start with the console off > press and hold the power button until you hear two beeps > select option 5 - Rebuild Database.

4. If you're still having issues, you will need to reinstall your console. Initialising your PlayStation device will delete all data. Before you do this, please back up your data using a USB or PS Plus Online Storage. You can find instructions on how to reinstall your console on our website: https://www.playstation.com/support/hardware/reinstall-playstation-system-software-safe-mode/.

5. After reinstalling, please:

a) Reinstall the game(s). Please ensure you re-download using a wired connection.

b) relaunch the game(s) before reinstalling any game saves. It may be that the saved data has become corrupted, which is why the game(s) crashed.

6. If you own a PS4 and have replaced the hard disc drive (HDD), please reinstall the original (if you still have it) and try again.

====================================================

None of the above worked for me. Today I decided to bite the bullet and despite the 20 hours I've put in to the game already I decided I would delete my saved game and start again thinking it could be a corrupt save. I deleted my game off both my Console and also from PS Plus cloud thinking it would just start a fresh. This wasn't the case. Not sure how it does this but when I launch the game it automatically pulls my last save (this must be from Polyphony servers) and I then am stuck in the same loop. So it seems at the moment that its impossible for us to actually delete our saved data.

Anyway at the moment i'm waiting for PS to get back to me within 48 hours like they state to me and I'll see what they say, im guessing they wont be able to help though. I've seen on the main menu of GT that they have some "Planned Server Maintenance" tomorrow (17th March 22), so im hoping this could resolve my issue but we will see.

I hope none of you are having the issues i'm having.

The game not even starting is really getting on my nerves (ps5). Also assigning my wheel (TG-T II) can also make the game crash. Then it can take maybe 4 or 5 attempts to get the thing to run again.

Then there surely has to be a bug with the LM races. 5K for either 24mins or 5 laps? Yet the Catalunya race, which is the same race category (800pp WTC), you get 70k. Yes it's 10 laps but the race time/distance is pretty similar so I can't see why you lose 65k at LM??

edit: Having the wheel in GT mode crashes the game. In 'other' mode it works.

Hi Everyone, I've not seen this specific issue reported yet, although it does seem similar to settings not being saved or the mini progression issue. I'm on a PS4 PRO (in Australia if region makes a difference) and whenever I try to use GT Auto and then try to exit back to the world map after having changed anything at all (adding a rear wing for example, or changing paint colour, or applying a livery) the 'Please Wait' progression spinner comes up with the notation of 'Applying...' and then flips between 30% and 33% multiple times and eventually fails after 15-20 min with either a CE-221031 Unexpected Error or CE-222033 Unexpected Error 'Failed to save style data'. Neither of these error codes seem to return any google results. I've also tried the delete local and cloud save data fix and rebuild db in safe mode, neither of which resolves the issue. As you can probably guess, this means that nothing gets applied therefore my progress is blocked on the add a wing cafe menu mission and obviously I am unable to customise any cars visually (upgrade parts seem to be fine). I am also unable to find a way to report this directly to PD, is there a way to submit a bug report? I've logged onto www.gran-turismo.com and can't find anywhere to submit a bug report.
Funny I encountered the same error code, but in a different situation. I tried sharing a long replay (about 20 minutes long), and after getting halfway through I encountered the same error code.

Seems to be caused when the game fails to fully upload something to the server? 🤔

Really sorry to hear this. Really terrible issue to have. Someone on here had a similar issue and actually got a refund from Sony. Try that or wait till tomorrow. A patch should release by 8am GMT. (My assumption, there is a maintenance notice in the game for tomorrow)

for Dirt tracks in the Super License and track experiences, you don't get Dirt tyres. Even though the cars in Demonstration have dirt tyres. I can barely scrape a Bronze medal in these ones, when usually I get silver without breaking a sweat

Several of us here are having this issue. PD has acknowledged it but we have no timeline for a fix.

There is many many people with the same error as you have.
Hopefully they fix it in the next patch... i hope

3 bugs i've seen so far. GT7 on a PS4 Pro.

1-Says fastest lap was done by me. Actually i finished 3rd on a 1 lap race around the 'ring so i can't have done the fastest lap. Or perhaps they show fastest lap by me, not that clear...

2-When i start a race and the car i drive is well identified at the right of screen (currently a Viper..) but the car shown is a Corvette, a Mustang, etc..

3-Porsche Cup on the Nurgurgring. Temperature changes from sunny with almost no clouds to torrential rain virtually from 1 frame to another.

No deal breakers but bugs that need to be ironed out.
