No, it's not a requirement. But I have my wheel/pedals/monitor/rig connected to both PC and PS5, because I switch between them. Turns out it's not a good idea connecting to both PC/PS5 at the same time...
But if you're still on the fence about getting a wheel, I'd say if you love cars and driving, and you're fortunate enough to have the space and money, go for it!! It's a great hobby and I've been playing on a wheel for the last 15 years or so...can't ever go back to controllers

Ahh...I missed that. I got lazy having to plug/unplug cables and such every time I switched between PC and PS5. Thanks for the tip!
After I noticed the ABS/brake flicker, I tried to unplug the USB from the PC, then got very slight brake and throttle input, even when I wasn't pressing any of the pedals. I got pretty worried, so I updated the wheel firmware just in case, and reset T-LCM calibration to factory settings, and all was fine again. I guess I'll just go through the motions of the whole plugging/unplugging every time I switch platforms, just to be safe.

One of the statistics in the player profile is fuel consumption. The way I have my units set, it’s presented in “miles per gallon”, and for each player, it’s quoted to two decimal places.
However, the only values I have seen on my friends list are 4.00, 5.00 and 6.00. This seems like an unlikely coincidence, and I’m thinking there is an error in calculating these values.

bug or not! new humany comedy race redbull ring, starts raining you put IM tyres on but pit crew showing putting slicks on, you go back to change as it drys iut to put hards on and you are putting wets or IMs back on, car drives like you aint changed. let me know what you think is it a bug or not

As I have been a controller driver for about the same years, from gt1 till now. I am limited on space and budget and I am happy where I am and with my limitations yet I'm always wanting to try to better myself...It's a great hobby and I've been playing on a wheel for the last 15 years or so...can't ever go back to controllers

I think this is a bug but am having trouble finding anyone else with the same issue so maybe I'm just doing something wrong.
After I updated yesterday I went to continue on working my way through the "Menu Book" quests only to find the race I need to complete in order to progress is not available.
I am on the "Trial Mountain Cup" Menu Book, only the "Trial Mountain Cup" Is not available. There's the big ellow dot over World Circuits but once I go in the cup does not appear. I can find the track but it only offers me to run it as a arcade race. Trial Mountain Cup is not listed on the bottom with any of the other events I have unlocked.
Anyone have any ideas?

It may be part of the championships below the circuits before selecting a region.

Sadly that’s not it. I should mention this actually started with the Camaro Collection quest where none of the races I needed to do appeared. I thought the bug might resolve itself if I just bought those cars and advanced to the next quest but here I am and it did not. Trial mountain Cup does not appear under championships and I am at a loss for what to do.
As you can see in this picture the Menu Book appears in the top left. It I have nowhere to go.

Why does it say "A" and have no trophy for the French championship? You should have picked up at least a bronze trophy to pass that menu book...

Bug Causes game ending freeze rendering PS4 unusable during high rewards races.
PS4 25th anniversary edition.
Lemans 8 Lap (occurs between Lap 4-6) & WTC 700 Race 5 on final Lap (after achieving gold on previous 4). Post Menu book completion is when I started to encounter this issue.
Other issue:
when using Lamborghini V12 VGT on certain tracks. Speeds above 180 MPH cause graphics to falter and screen rate becomes choppy.

In WT700 Cup, the Aston driver’s name switches between J. Brea and M. Mendoza during the championship.

Sorry if this is wrong spot, only place I could find to report gt7 issues.
1. In (showcase) "my items" older content is getting unviewable/deleted as new replays, pictures, decals, ect are added.
2. In music replays, why no rewind/fast forward or pause?
Also, why cant we choose more then one song to play whole replay? Multiple song are better then constant repeating same one. Maybe even sync to own personal music if able.
3. Two player battle needs to be able to verse ai also if wanted. Maybe even two players (splitscreen) online. That would be cool.
4. Maybe picky, but on game image/ cover it shows "Michelin" on tire side wall. Where are the branded side walled tires at?
5. Can we have some fantasy tracks like the Moon again? That would be cool.
Also where us the thunderstorms, hail, snow, blizzards? There is way more weather then rain.

Bugs or things I wish to be fixed. To sell cars. To increase the numbers of daily races from three to five. To get reward
every time you repeat the Missions and not only the first time. Why we can repeat others events and not the missions?

Something that has bugged me for a long time with GT is the issue with accidental selection of tyres as you enter the pits.
(X) is the default accelerator button the PS controller, but the second you cross the pit line (which isn't always clear), you are instantly given the selection for tyres, and if your finger is still on the button, it automatically selects 'Don't change tyres', which effectively ends your race...

here a bug for you! second time doing human comedy Trail mountain, got silver but no prize money 🤬 it flashed but not awarded 🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬 sobits either a bug or you only get prize money once, did it yesterday and got second 🤔 wont be attempting going for gold now!

You only get prize money once for each threshold from Missions, just like all the other Missions and Licences and Circuit Experiences. If you've already passed at bronze or better you don't get the bronze money again, and if you've already passed at silver or better you don't get the silver money again.
It shows on the main screen which prizes you already have with a tick.

Hi, new on the forums and have been playing gt7 on ps5 since launch. Just wanted to ask, is anyone getting noticeably worse performance than expected? I’ve seen a few people call this out online but it’s clearly not widespread. I see significant frame drops in corners on most tracks during races…. It’s actually at its worst when doing anything where your ghost is displayed close to your car.
At a bit if a loss, all other ps5 games run great, reinstalling didn’t change anything… downloaded the PS4 version which runs flawlessly but the visual cuts are too much to bear really - just curious what other peoples experience is.

Here's an interesting one. Wanted to do some laps on the Tsukuba circuit with the moto chicane. So I took about 5 minutes to carefully reposition the cones so that I could use it. Did my laps, and then went to watch the replay. I fast forwarded through the cone moving, and when I came back around at speed the cones had been reset back to their original positions. 🤔

Group 2 Custom Races against the AI at Red Bull Ring on PS4.
1. If Rolling Start Interval is selected it only selects 15m distance no matter what distance you scroll to. Then, at the start of the race, all the cars are bunched up close together.
2. When the AI cars reach the sharp right hander at the top of the hill (Turn 2?), they spin out and cause a yellow flag on almost every occasion.
3. In spite of selecting rain weather for the race (e.g. RO4, 5 & 6) many of the races have clouds in the sky but more often than not it doesn't rain. (RBR is a circuit that supports rain).
