Official PlayStation Magazine has almost nothing to do with Sony. It's published by Future Publishing in Bath, UK, along with a whole bunch of other magazines. The "official" part simply comes from the fact that, when Sony put the brand up for tender, Future placed the best bid.
OPMUK's writers might have fractionally better access to Sony's staff and officials, but they don't have a direct line to information that nobody else has. There is the vaguest of possibilities that this information is true, but it's no better than anywhere else just because it has the words "official PlayStation" in the title. That's just a branding that Future paid for.
I have no idea what it's based on. Hopefully not simply stuff Kaz has said in interviews (with us) about Deep Forest and Grand Valley, or one of those nonsense pieces we've seen in non-specialist outlets. The fact they don't know Deep Forest and Grand Valley have also not been in GT since GT6 is an immediate red flag.
Could be true, could be not true, definitely not concrete enough to shove into print. It's a massive over-reach, and I wouldn't put any value in it myself right now.

I thought the boffins here had determined that those tracks would be included based on clues in the video - menu shots and the world map or whatever.
So yeah, unless I'm mistaken, there's no new info there, just an amalgamation of Sony-site facts and things derived from close inspection of the clip.

Those tracks are in the specdb of 1.47 GTS so they're 99.99% coming.
Those unused sky conditions you can swap in GTSport were for Road Atlanta, Grand Canyon, Midfield, Cape Ring and Deep Forest.

Sooooooo, why aren't the tracks in the game? It seems a bit strange to have the TOD options for a track but not the track itself.

Host of reasons. Deciding not to finish those tracks, intention's of adding in a later canceled DLC, licensing, etc.
I'd like to see some karting tracks. even that silly indoor track from GT6. Seems they kinda just gave up on that category after really putting in some genuine effort in GT5 and GT6.

There are tonnes of unused or partially created assets in a number of GT games. A lot gets cut during development or is just there from testing in early development. Sometimes files just get included as data is ported from one title to another.
It's no confirmation that these tracks were ever intended to be in GT Sport but it doesn't mean they weren't either.

I predict 500 minimum to 600 cars at launch and 40-50 tracks, excluding all the updates and DLC's that will come in future. With every DLC and update until 2025 how much they could add? I hope more as possible... Probably at end of PS5 generation before GT8 coming (maybe still on PS5) we could hit 1,000 cars range in GT7 or somewhere near that

It depends what file formats GT7's engine can read and how well it interprets the data from them. Based on what we saw and heard from Kaz regarding GT Sport, it was not easy porting tracks over from GT6 to GT Sport. He said the dimensions of the tracks ended up being so far out (i.e. kerbs bigger than cars) that the tracks effectively had to be rebuilt. So I wouldn't count on seeing the same track assets from GT5/6 imported into GT7 with just a touch up.

Been thinking about what cars PD would delete from GTS, if that car list transfer to GT7.
Other than the FuguZ, I could see PD deleting the Nova and MachForty. I know the previous GT Awards cars, like the Buick, were ported for a few games. It didn't make it in GTS. We still have no confirmation the latest awards cars will make it.
Focus ST, The Clio twins and GTI may get cut to make way for new models.

PD added the '92 NSX-R and not the '02 or '04 model. The DC5 Integra R hasn't made it in the game. Yet, we have the EK9 and DC2.
It is a matter of choice by PD. I doubt a licence to use the '04 S2000 ran out. So, that's why we they modelled the '99 S2000? I wouldn't think that's the case.
I do know licences run out. We don't know how long PD have licences for cars(we see TVR, but only one car. One Suzuki). However, we also found out brands(and circuits), not being paid a fair amount to be included or it costs a high amount to be put in the game.
