I think you're mistaken, i've made a Lancia delta with the Nismo gtr engine swap and then put the Nismo ultra high RPM turbo on top of it. Had to select the turbo from the Nismo gtr in parts while i was in the Lancia.
Yeah, I've built and upgraded pretty much every car that can have its engine swapped and all it does is limit you to the same engine upgrades the donor car can normally receive. The E46 M3 and RX-7 FD have very few options aside from turbos since they have racer engines, but all of the other cars have bore-up/stroke-up/engine balance/etc, as well as the standard air filters, mufflers, forced induction (if it's not an N/A car) and manifolds.
Can confirm that the R26B in the RX-7 is a hoot. Also Porsche has been very kind to me.
  • x8 M64/03
  • x1 Porsche VGT
  • x1 Porsche Carrera GT
  • x1 Porsche 919 Hybrid

All in about the last two hours
Indeed. Ran the RX-7 at Sarthe/WTC 700 and it can do the entire race on FM1 without needing fuel, lol. It was already one of my favorite cars for that event but now it's just ridiculous! 185mph+ on the straights while having extremely quick pickup and no fuel management, lol.

The MR2, RX-5 '15 and E46 are pretty stable as well. Need to make some finer adjustments but I think they'll do just fine in the 650-750PP range. Haven't had much time in the S15, Lancia, Eunos Roadster, Challenger, etc so I'm not sure about them yet. Only one that seems almost un-drivable is the LS9-Firebird, but I tested it with the supercharger at more than 800hp so bringing it down to a more tame level might make it more manageable
Has your inventory stopped counting or no…..like 46/1000….has yours stopped counting at this number
I think I know what you're talking about now. Checked and mine is at 46/1000 also so I've no idea what that means. Is it pushing older parts out as new get added? Really need to dig through it now to see if the parts I had that were wanted are still available. Good catch noticing it's getting hung-up at 46; I pay very little attention to things like and would have kept opening tickets and possibly losing my good parts to all the junk!

If anyone discovers a way to ONLY get 4* tickets, that would be appreciated. I've tried many things but I just can't get the game to give me the 4* ticket only unless I restart the game, which is slower than alternating between 4* and 6*.

I say this because I have already 30-40 of each engine... And have absolutely no need for any more engines at all. I would rather receive a 2k credit prize than engines at this point. Unless PD allows us to sell them in the future that is.

The Special Car Parts is what I want, but I have 4 of those ultra high rpm turbos for the BRZ drift car and another 3 for the Re:amemiya RX-7, cars which I definitely won't be using them for. Would've liked to get the turbo for the Veyron or the GT-R NISMO.

The 4* ticket is the one I treasure more now. From yesterday till now, just on credits alone I got 27.2 million credits, and didn't leave this working overnight.

Like you say, close and restart the game. Thats the only way I've found how to get it to work for me. Boot times are rapid on PS5 though

Use the type r instead of the rotary "learning videos" and alternate?

Delete unwanted nsxs?

Are engine swaps permanent or can you swap them back out for the original engine and re-use the swap on other compatible cars? Figuring out how much I want to grind...

Yeah, but that requires the major inconvinience of being done manually... And while PS5's boot times are rapid, it's still overall slower than staying in the game trading between 4* and 6*.

The 4*, NSX, 4* method doesn't work either as lqpl suggested and I've tried it before.

You are right, I just made NA Miata with engine swap + ultra high rpm turbo. As you said the turbo have to be related to that swaped engine and not to the cars original engine. Its incredibely rare, but I think people dont have to worry about it too much since I tried to tune that miata for almost an hour and I just couldt figured out some op tune. It works best in 600pp, but I have few 600pp street cars with original engine that are way faster.

The combination of ultra high rpm turbo and engine swap will probably work best for heavy high HP builds made for drifting or drag racing like that 1200hp 2JZ Nissan Silvia Q's (S13) '88. Integrale and Yaris can be aslo good in 700, 750 or 800 pp but Iam not sure since there is not many tracks fitting for that ultra turbo.

I've just plopped a video in the first post, and will post it below too. It's unlisted, it's not monetised, I don't gain jack from it (so if you think I'm a **** you can still click guilt-free; give me a dislike if you want), and in any case it's not even a slowed-down walkthrough of the process showing you how to endlessly get the tickets sequentially without quitting the game in any way. So I don't even know why you'd click it:

I most certainly didn't use those tactics and treat Luca like he was Rocky and I was Bugs Bunny to get enough engines to do swaps in both regular and widebody versions of every car and have at least 1 extra engine.
@doomtrain69 I haven't seen an Ultra turbo or Stage 5 weight reduction for any car since launch. Gotten a few high lift cams (one for the NSX '02, which is cool) and a carbon shaft for one of the Toyota 86's but that's about it. Had quite a few parts for cars I don't care about so it's not like those are all I've seen, those are just the only one's I have an interest in using. So these mods must be exceedingly rare: I pull roughly 1 special part in a 4* ticket to every 2-3 engine swaps from the 4*, so at least for me they're quite a bit more rare. Too bad the Honda prize for the last update wasn't a special part ticket, lol
I pulled an ultra turbo for the Veyron on the Plus account before 1.17, and most certainly did not pull one for the RE Amemiya, as well as 4 Stage 5 Weight Reductions, on the GTP account during the jubilee.

This isn't specifically about the swaps, but this thread is essentially just a hub for talking about the bonanza at this point, so I thought I might as well ask.

Have ANY of you gotten these specific parts, for these specific cars, from the 4-stars?

Ultra-High RPM Turbo:
  • Nissan Skyline R32
  • Nissan Skyline R33
  • Nissan Skyline R34
  • Nissan GT-R R35 (base model, NOT the safety car or Nismo)
  • Nissan 300ZX
  • Nissan Fairlady 240ZG
  • Toyota Supra RZ
  • Ferrari F40
  • Fiat 500 F
High-RPM S Supercharger:
  • Literally any car that has it available
I'm beginning to think these parts, much like the M96 Porsche engine, are simply not present in the game, but they show up in the tuning menu when you go to change the turbo/supercharger. So if ANYONE has received these parts for these cars, please do let me know.

Got them all last night, the SC430 V8 was the last engine I was missing. Need at least 2 more of those so I can swap both my Crown and Tundra, and have one as a reserve. So far I'm having a blast with my K20 EK9 and 2JZ GR86
