I saw my first engine on a 4-Star ticket last night (along with some form of weight reduction, a 650S GT3 and a Lamborghini invitation) but only won 5,000 credits.

Do all the engines use the VR38 from the GTR as a generic icon?
the lambo is a single seat vgt car with the last caron the lamborghini dealer list power plant

I have a friend that thinks an LS swap can be done over the weekend with no prior experience. Im glad GT isn't adding to that mind frame.
I worked with someone like that a few years ago. He was convinced that he was going to fit a V6 turbo Insignia engine into his 1.4 Astra… 🙄 I humoured him, pretended I was really interested, asked him questions like how he’d tackle the gearbox, ECU, and so on, and honestly at times it was hard not to burst into laughter. The best thing was, he was sure he’d agreed a (literally) unbelievable price with a local garage to ‘drop in’ the engine, and he would do the rest… 👀

You could probably 2zz an MR-S in a weekend though with a few off the shelf parts from monkeywrench racing or similar.

Maybe I just got really lucky but from two 4 star roulettes I won the Dodge Hellcat engine yesterday and the 787b 4 rotor today. Very happy about the latter.

If winning at least 1 engine a week if you do the daily mileage every day is a given I'm ok with that personally. Now, if the daily mileage commonly gives 1 star tickets like what I got 3 days ago.... that can go to hell. Make it stick to what level you're at or whatever. Or give us multiple tickets a day at higher levels, a lower level one and a higher one.

Totally random. You can get 1-6* star tickets from the daily workout.

Ok, so I’ve just won my first engine, a 787B 😏

It came from a 4 star ticket, which came from winning every race in Menu Book 34 - AMG (on hard).

I’m starting to think there might be a correlation between your race results and the prize from the ticket. Most of my Menu Books have been a leisurely 2nd or 3rd, just to crack on with unlocking things. But I seem to remember any decent roulette prizes have come off the back of finishing 1st.

Does anyone have any input on this? Has it been proven or disproven? What’s the consensus? 🤔

Is it me, or there's only a very small amount of engine types available? I keep seeing people the same engines over and over.
There only seem to be a handful available for now at least.

Given the lack of engine types, and the number of bugs being reported, I have a feeling this is something that was added to the game quite late in development and we can expect to see it fleshed out further in the coming months.

There are many astra J and corsa D with a v6 engine from insignia..
Also with awd.
Dont make joke with things that you don't know..

Excuse me? When did I say it wasn’t possible? I didn’t, did I?

“Things I don’t know”?! Really? Wow 😂

How about the thing YOU definitely don’t know? Which is that this colleague of mine was a complete idiot with no clue about the fabrication, costs, or even the fundamental complexity of an engine swap and talked about it like he’d have it done in a couple of weeks with absolutely zero technical ability of his own.

You completely ignored the point, took a lighthearted post and turned it into a situation where you, a complete stranger is somehow offended by it, and made huge assumptions in order to pointlessly create conflict. Absolutely baffling.

You know nothing about me. Nothing about what I do or don’t know.

I’d advise you not to jump to any more presumptions. You might end up looking even sillier than you already do.

Have a good day 😊

Purely coincidence.

Has anyone kept track of what upgrade parts are available in the roulette? A friend of mine just got this...

Yes 😊

Purely coincidence.
Damn. But thanks for the clarification 😊

it seems like the celica ecu doesnt work/doesnt work as good for the swap as the one from the corolla

Sorry, you’ve lost me there? Maybe you accidentally quoted me? Or maybe I’m being dumb and missing the point 😆

I was awarded an engine compatible with the RX7, so I'm assuming it was the 787 engine. I don't currently own an RX7 though, so haven't checked it out.

Also I was given a Stage 6 weight reduction for the Charger Safety car. How random and maybe useless is that?

Lol Do you know how much Chargers weigh? Im not surprised they have an extra 2 stages. Probably still over 2500 lbs.

I had a 300 SRT, so I'm familiar with their obesity. Still is odd that it's only for the Safety car, and didn't list the regular Charger.

Those type of parts are for all cars just that when you get one it’s always for a specific car and not a universal part.

Out of curiosity, what's your collector level and how many cars do you own?
Collector level 25
Cars owned 74
Next Menu Book 38

I won the first engine very recently, maybe yesterday. So probably not far off the current level.

I’m thinking about buying the RX7 FD now to see what the fuss is about.

Have you had any luck yet?

Haven't even got the game yet, my PS5 is arriving on Friday

Just trying to get a gauge on what it'll be like, at least initially.

Fortunately unlike many people here I don't need the most exclusive legendary cars or engine swaps to enjoy this game, at least for the first few months. Just looking forward to enjoying and modifying the cars as I'm awarded them, starting with a Super Taikyu inspired Demio. Can't wait.

Only first place is good enough for me, I've completed all books, nearly all missions (some of the bugged tire ones, but not all) collected 161 cars so far and my collector exp is 68,900.

I have gotten 0 engine swaps so far. Did get ferrari and aston martin invites, and have gotten a not-for-sale engine bore upgrade for the BAC Mono plus the Ultra-high rpm turbo for the Veyron (which I haven't been invited to buy yet, sadly).

I don't think it matters. At one point I thought maybe my collectors level would deliver me some higher star roulette tickets, but that also hasn't been the case at all.
That’s cruel. I feel bad now sat here with two 😣 For what it’s worth, my prizes in general were pretty meagre all the way up to the point I actually won the first engine. Lowest cash prize 9 times out of 10.

I guess by now we’re pretty sure there will be more and more Menu Books coming to the game as time goes on. So don’t lose hope!
