I'm not convinced because you can only get it down to what, 1,500 KG?
1,376... I'll let you do the math on that.

So I'm not making a waste of a post in here, I've also updated my swapped cars spreadsheet by top speed:

Interestingly, the 300ZX gained 5km/h for unknown reasons so has jumped a few positions, other cars I tested were 1-2km/h faster if at all.

Wow it's very close between the Chiron and the Cayman. The Cayman must have the lower drag co-efficient though.

The 997 swap is really good and I didn’t need to make many adjustments from the stock engine tune. It ran a 6:29 on the ring. The 356 is a handful so far, still working to tune that.
Also working on a tune for the 356, because I'm drawn to deeply flawed cars. From my experience so far, the 356 has surprisingly decent mechanical grip, but it's very easy to over drive / go over the traction limit and slide.

The lack of downforce + the skinny tires even after widened = having to drive with a careful constant throttle through high speed bends that all other cars normally run through flat. Tire wear is awful too.

The 356 may be kinda bugged at 600pp as well. Mine has over 600hp and weighs around 2000 lbs with all the top racing parts on Sports Medium / Sports Soft tires - 225 mph down the big straight at the Tokyo grind race. Increasing engine displacement actually drops the PP!

I did check the specs of 997 GT3 R and found out it was also naturally aspirated, so it depends if you want to see it as a Cup or GT3 R.
I also did a GT3R version, with the wide body and full aero treatment. Still kept it NA and plays nicely with the Gr.3 cars on Sardegna and Spa.

As you'll be aware by now, GT7 has engine swaps! Yay! 🎉

The feature works by either gifting you an engine through a roulette ticket (rare in general tickets, some engine-specific tickets are available) or as expensive buyable items through the engine swap facility in GT Auto. Only some cars can receive swaps (80 to date) and only specific engines fit in each case - so far each eligible car can receive only one type of engine.

In the game's early stages the mechanism was entirely luck-based, resulting in no clear information on what engines were available and what cars they fit in. I created this thread so that the cloud-computing-mind of GTPlanet could do what it does best: assemble a complete list.

Since update 1.34, all engines have now been buyable for their respective vehicles, but players still need to know what engine fits what car (for gifted engines) or what car can receive what engine (for buying engines) in order to efficiently use the feature.

Either way, here's a complete list of all known swaps (with the Porsche M96/76 only seen in trailers and not the game thus far; this is unlikely to ever arrive, at least for the VW 1200).

Please add any others you find in the comments below - note the original brand, the name of the engine, and any eligible cars - with some picture evidence, please!

Updated: Sep 28/v1.38; new swaps/engines flagged in bold

Incidentally, don't do any of this to get infinite engines:

Because it doesn't work as of v1.18

Number of exclamation marks in parentheses denotes my comparative level of "what the actual" ness

Windsor-351-Maverick (GAC Maverick) Is also compatible with Porsche Cayman GT4 ‘16!☺ just found that out.🤷🏽‍♂️

I’d say the R34. It can do LeMans without stopping (weather permitting of course) and handles really well!

I want to use the engine R26B-787B (Mazda 787B) to Mazda RX-7 (FD) Spirit R '02.
The problem is that this engine is N/A in 787's Tuning parts.

Where else should I get this engine from?

There's two ways of getting an engine:

  • Randomly, through a Roulette ticket
  • By taking the recipient car to GT Auto and buying the new engine for it

If you haven't received one randomly through a Roulette ticket, take the RX-7 to GT Auto and buy it. Be warned, this is a very expensive engine to buy.

It is indeed!!!:boggled:
1.750.000 cr.

Stupid question; Could I use this engine to my owned 787? I mean, because it's in better condition than mine's.

You can buy a new engine for any car in the Extreme tab of the Tuning Shop.
