No, you've missed his point and made up your own.
Yeah? I acknowledged his point about "time" but said that when it comes to time literally everything in ones life competes with everything else.

That does not make GTA and GT competing products in the way much more directly competing products (I gave examples) compete with one another - which was @Ande3200 initial point that @jonoholland29 disagreed with because "time".

Anyway. I'm already bored by this.

State of Play tomorrow - woohoo.

Hopefully some good but i am not holding my breath. Maybe resident evil 9. But gran turismo very unlikely

I think i made prediction earlier but I want to slightly amend it i think there's a track coming but not sure which one. It maybe a fictional track like Midfield or Red Rock but it will not look how we remember it.

The guy literally said "my time" I don't know why everyones responding like he's making a global objective statement.
Thank you - I can only give my opinions. I have zero knowledge of the current progress of GT8's development.

Of course a racing game is not a comparison to GT7, that wasn't the point I was making. It was about my time on my PS5. I was making a general point about my intentions to purchase GT8 in comparison to other games on the market. My family and work are what competes for my time the most... that and sleep. The playstation accounts for less than 2% of my waking hours currently, but when GT7 was first out that was easily 10% of my time.

Another possibility, albeit slim, that would certainly be "interesting" and "a lot to talk about" is they announce it for PC. I find that hard to imagine but it seems more likely than it has ever been before. The State of Play would be the place to announce it, and Jordan's comment coming up in a video about a Forza game coming to PS5.

It's a stretch but anything could happen 🤷‍♂️

I doubt it. The hot rumor lately is that a PC port (if it was ever in development) has been cancelled

Was Monaco or Imola ever a track in GT? Any chance a major track to be announced in GT7?
Also, is it realistic to see a Ferrari Hypercare 599 Le Mans?
Monaco was in as Cote d'Azur back in GT4

No Imola.

No reason to expect Hypercar class cars to be added at this stage, but if you mean the 499, there is the modificata version, which would be the equivalent of getting an XX version of a Ferrari, as it's the non race version there's possibly a marginally higher version of it turning up.

Côte d’Azur is in GT3/4/5/6/PSP

  • There’s always a chance of a major track being announced
  • Not sure it’s realistic to see a 599 Hypercar Le Mans, but it’s realistic to see a Ferrari 499P Le Mans Hypercar and/or a Ferrari 599XX and/or 599 GTB Fiorano

Ferrari 499p. PD liked a post several months ago and it would be a good fit for the 100th car added and the game's anniversary.
We've all to hunt and find that post STAT another piece of proving those doubters wrong once and for all for the GR010 HYBRID '21 to be joined by another it's been now on a wide spread making the 499P's inevitably more stronger to GT7 before even GT8 sets foot!

what are the current news of the gt world series and the February update for GT7?
The February update, if there is one, would likely be teased next weekend. I don't expect GTWS news for another month or two. Last year the "real" GTWS online season was announced April 4.

Once found it'll be clear for the LMH of Marenello's finest to be in its way to GT7 before GT8 nears it's completion the GR010 HYBRID must be joined by another competitor cars always look the relishing feat and therefore even greater gr.1 taste.

Lotus Emira
The licensing blockage might have been settled and that certainly could get people talking. I somehow doubt GTP staff knows much beyond the car data leaking to dataminers a few weeks before new content gets added to the game. So what can make people talk a lot, if we assume it’s a car? Lotus - and probably a recent model as the GT6 Lotus roster might be too dated for a truly impactful debut in GT7.

Hyundai i30 N
Hot on the heels of the electric IONIQ 5 N it would make sense to add a petrol car. Hyundai is clearly serious about ramping up their presence in racing games, so just one recent model in GT7 is too little. In that case it wouldn’t be the first time the same marque appears two updates in a row.

Subaru 360
GT7 content updates often include one car that seems like a stretch on a racing circuit. However, that’s the beauty of Gran Turismo, and the 360 is a fitting choice when a handful of similar cars are already included from marques like Volkswagen, Fiat, Mini and Renault.

I predict Tahiti as a new race track as this would trackwise make sense to me when it comes to adding a fictional track, it would bring more diversity when it comes to scenery than Apricot Hill or Red Rock Valley. Maybe that is part of what is meant by „there’s a lot to discuss in the next update“ in the latest GTPlanet video, as they could‘ve changed the layout in comparison to the original track which is always controversial.
But on the other side, this would be the 3rd original track in a row, which would be too many maybe and PD would rather want to give us a real world circuit this time (if a track gets added overall), so for this case I predict Motegi. A lot of people would welcome it, it is a classic and 9 months after the post that it got scanned by PD could be enough to finish it I guess?
But „a lot to discuss“ should include more than this, so I predict that B-Spec Mode will be included. Or alternatively they add something like the option to sell Tuning Parts and Engines.

As this makes it sound that it’s a bigger update then the usual ones, I predict 6 cars get added:

Amemiya Aspara RX-7
BMW 507
Chevrolet Corvette C5
Hyundai Veloster N
Renault R5 Maxi Turbo Rallye
RUF CTR Yellowbird

From my understanding of the datamining process, they have precision on vehicle names (due to the text strings) and actual vehicle contents of updates (through their appearance in various bits of relevant game code).

However I'm also a motoring journalist. I learned about four of 2024's cars months in advance through the brands' press offices - in privileged conversations, so unable to be shared. One was shown to me by its designer on his phone over a steak... though he was a month out on when it was due to be added.

That’s what I was referring to.

If such information was shared over a steak, there’s no reason information cannot be shared under a steak.

🥩

All ears now…

Besides, the car already came in 2024, like I said.

Yes, but I meant information in a general sense, like what GTP seems to know regarding the next update. Not that I expected you to spill the beans anyway.

In any case, I wasn't even the person who said there'd be something to talk about with this update...

Its all in who you know. With Jordan's long history, he surely has friends in PD. And depending on the trust level, he may know many things or few things.

When I played a certain MMO, I fell into a group of friends where a couple of them worked for the company that makes the game. Information could be divulged to us about plans months or years before their implementation. Not like giving us every bit of information or anything but just.. Hey, this is what the next expansion is going to be themed around and the new job classes that will be coming. Privileged information that realistically, if had gotten out, could cause those people to lose their jobs. So it was never discussed with anyone outside the group. This is a pretty common scenario for long time industry journalists though.

I look forward to us all fighting in the future about whatever dumb thing is coming in this next update
