This is probably my boldest prediction for an update so far. I’m predicting this not necessarily for the next update, but certainly for a future one.

Given Polyphony’s smart strategy used to bring the F3500-A to life in GT7, I can definitely see them working in a similar way to bring back NASCAR in an unlicensed form. Coming up with a generic model and then add some alternative parts to reference each manufacturer.

For example, let’s take late Gen 4 NASCAR cars and call it “Gran Turismo V8-SC4” just for fun. (SC for stock car and 4 for Generation 4)

Default parts referencing the Monte Carlo.

Type A parts referencing the Charger.

Type B parts referencing the Taurus.

I also can see the default livery created by PD not containing any headlights and grill decals to keep it more generic-looking until we put our hands on it.

…and the rest is history.
Oh you wouldn't know berzerk I'd go if they'd actually do it.

This honestly could work better with the CoT they had during the PS3 era, in vein of F1500T-A being made out of the 97T - in this case, the splitter/nose and spoiler/wing (the former was used only in GT5 trailers) being GT Auto parts.

EDIT: Also a Gen 4-style stock car would be probably split into two or three types - your proposal is for 2000-2007 (Cup) spec; when I saw it, I originally thought about how late 90s Gen 4 would fit until I realized it would need to be split to a separate car.

The other two I’m thinking are these.

I thought it would be a Fiat or an Escort with the aerial on the roof.

Hey, I mentioned another Honda and two BMWs. :sly:

Didn’t think it would be the first Honda car, but seems about right with all the Honda videos I was seeing in my feed. :)

Whaaaat? Where? How can you say this and not share the image here lol

I don't see it on official instagram or website.. Where do I look? :dopey:

The presence of the Z4 means that the next two generations are fair game. That's good news. The 205 is also good news if it's a GTI. Not sure on the Merc though but hey ho let's see what happens.

Some vids for possible relevant viewing. Plus I always like to see stuff like this posted here so that those people who always complain about every car that's added that isn't a modern GT3 car. And some that think all hatch backs are mom-mobile grocery getters. * cough * Maybe can learn to broaden their horizons.

Vicki is always welcome.

Bit of a modern version I think but still cool/relevant (and Henry is always welcome):

Well, I guess I was wrong about the cars. But I was right about it being next week. So, huzzah!

I'm hoping the kei truck is the Daihatsu Midget II. I also have to agree with others saying the Convertible is the 1st Gen BMW Z4 and the hatchback being the Peugeot 205 GTi (either that or the Rallye). The 205 GTi would be a good playmate for the other 80s Hot Hatches in GT7 right now.

I think Famine is onto it with the Unimog. Which could mean the "lot to talk about" reference could be like a mud bog drag race course. Certainly would be interesting and not impossible for PD. They made a whole mode that was the lunar rover lol

I like the addition of the 205, the Z4 imo is just "there", and the Honda kei truck thingy could be quite fun. We'll what the update eventually brings along side these three cars in due course.

I'm definitly surprised. Wasn't expecting an update this month.
BMW Z4 is the one I'll likely use the most.
Peugeot 205 gti is a nice adition, but I dont have many situations where I'll use it. A very similar situation to last month's civic.
Unimog: I'm between "wow" and "why?"

I can't to understand the obsession of Kaz about vans wierd pick ups and some people carriers..
I wish Peugeot 205 to be T16 (the center engine one)
For BMW it would be better to choose Z3 M coupe or Z4 M.
