I'm gonna guess these folks don't exactly do their homework outside typical Hollywood Nonsense, henceforth the result of said..."homework"

You've answered your own question, it's because you car is too stiff and too low.
Never noticed it like that before, thought it was just psvr2 re-rendering at 120 causing double vision but same on TV, my rear view mirror is jumping around like mad, Been any changes regarding this lately? physics update?

Physics changed with patch 1.31 but as has already said, ride height is your problem. I tried a stock 962 around Daytona oval in VR. No such problem to report.

Got a question, its a pretty basic one but have tried the FAQ article and didn't find the answer.

I have got a PS4 that I use to play GT7, I'm seriously considering getting a PS5 with the PS5 version of the game, will my gave save carry over from the PS4 or will I have to start afresh?

It will not only carry over, you can hop back and forth between the two versions and consoles.

Not sure if it's been posted in here already, but CNET had did an interview with Kaz regarding VR in GT7. Not a bad read until the Music Rally stuff at the end.

It sounds like they're aware of some of the settings people want specifically for VR, such as a horizon-lock toggle. Hopefully they'll add it in an update soon.

"I think being able to talk to friends might be something that might be interesting to do in VR as well."

...Has Kaz not heard of Discord? Or the party feature literally built into the PS5?

Do players talk in private or do the room hear the chat? If players could chat while no one else hear the conversation, could be good with team racing.

Are the MFD controls locked behind a cafe menu?
Playing a fresh account atm and it’s been so long, not sure if a hardware issue with my wheel maybe?

You should be able to scroll through the radar, mini map etc. Other things like adjusting brake balance would need to have the controller fitted to the car in the Tuning Shop first

But what if it's the other way around, like say, you have the PS5 version with all your data, but on your PS5, you want to try out the PS4 version, will that still apply?

Yes, you can hop between both versions as long as you're using the same profile.

I just realized that a lot of the race cars that were last seen in GT6 were overall winners of the LM24, namely the following:

Audi R8 (The 2001 and 2005 winners were both last seen in GT6.)
Audi R10 TDI (2006 winner)
Bentley Speed 8 (2003 winner - the first overall win for Bentley in over 70 years!)
BMW V12 LMR (1999 winner)
Peugeot 905 (1992 winner)

And this trend seems to extend to the inclusion of other prototypes, like the Jaguar XJR-9 and Mercedes-Benz Sauber C9, which respectively won in 1988 and 1989. It even seems to extend to non-prototypes, like the McLaren F1 GTR that won in 1995, so I think that the Porsche 911 GT1 that won in 1998 could be added - likely as a Gr.2 machine.

I'd love for these prototypes to return as part of Gr.1, especially the Bentley. However, for Audi, we already have two versions of the R18, one of which being the car that won the 2011 LM24. Still, if I had to pick between the two iterations of the R8 and the R10, I'd likely pick the 2001 R8, as it's the car that seemed to be near the start of Audi's streak of overall wins at Le Mans, not to mention being the namesake of the R8 road car. And I know that Peugeot and BMW both have more contemporary prototypes, with the 9X8 and the M Hybrid V8 respectively, but whether those cars will be Le Mans winners is yet to be seen.

But on the other hand, you can see that the Gr.1 cars that won the LM24 are also much more expensive, and we do have prototypes that didn't necessarily win at Le Mans, like the 2010 version of the Peugeot 908. The prior year's version of the 908 did win overall, but in 2010, the win went to an Audi R15. Then there's also the 1992 Nissan R92CP, which as I may've implied earlier, didn't win that year, as the Peugeot 905 won instead. Finally, there's the, uh, notable GT-R LM Nismo, which very much did not win in 2015.

I'd also like to see the Mazda RT24-P, for what I'd call a notable reason: unlike the VGT, the RT24-P isn't powered by a rotary, but rather a turbocharged I4. I think this would very much set it apart from the Gr.1-spec VGT, aside from the RT24-P also being a non-VGT car. The Nissan Onroak DPi could similarly be a nice addition, if only to show what happened to Nissan's prototype program after the, uh, shortcomings of the GT-R LM Nismo.

Of course, this is without mentioning the real neat LMH/GTP cars I'd like to see, and the ones that are upcoming, too. I just hope some of the automakers not in the prototype business end up making a VGT that can enter Gr.1, like we'll see with Genesis. Here's hoping GM Design makes a prototype racer modeled on the C8 Corvette, haha!

So... this is a wishlist then? Not discussion about latest news?

You'll be wanting the Suggestions forum:

Ah, I got side-tracked. I was more so meaning to point out the trend with the prototypes.

Always thought this was a general discussion thread. "Latest news AND DISCUSSION thread"

Half of the chatter in here isnt about latest news.
A lot of which we let slide for that reason. People shouldn't be posting anything but discussion about latest news here, but a lot of that discussion bleeds into other discussion and separating them out is beyond a waste of time.

Wishlists though can get in the sea.

I suppose I’m guilty of being off topic in my recent posts in this thread, my apologies.
I acknowledge this one also ads to the noise, but from now on I’ll look harder for the appropriate thread.

To get back on topic, the most recent update removed Sophy.
I understand that it was a short term addition to improve the model, but I’m hoping we don’t have to wait too long for it to be added back to the game.
Fingers cross the next version lets us use it in custom races.
Having it in multiplayer lobbies would be the ultimate though!

*Edit
I suppose that is just more wishlist.
I’ll lurk more and not drunk post impulsively from now on :P

Whoa whoa hang on!

I just finally bought a PS5 after wisely (I thought) buying the PS5 version of GT7 with the digital version on PS4 included.

I'm not hooking it up until after the weekend, what state will my game be in? I was planning on just continuing from where I left off... :nervous:

Not sure why this is hard to understand. Your PS4 and PS5 versions of GT7 share the same save file, if you're logged in to PSN with the same account. The game will be in whatever state you left it when you last played it, regardless of console.

Yes, it's not hard to understand. Unless you read this as "It will not carry over..."

Now I'm relieved thank you

I can also say that this works as someone that did the same thing you're doing. I originally started my GT7 playthrough on the PS4 port before I finally got a PS5 myself and then was able to continue off of my PS4 save.
Same here. I've even gone back to the PS4 version, and driven the same car, in the same TT, to see if there were any differences in handling. This was at least a couple updates ago, and at the time, the PS4 version felt like it had slightly better grip/control. I first notice when I switched to PS5, but went back later to confirm. They were a little different, using a controller BTW.
