Huh, so they added new music rallys. I recently got hooked on the Tokyo Expressway one and pushed my record to somewhere around 8,800m.

Edit: Crap, I forgot to claim the Extra Menu tickets before the maintenance. Guess I'll be waiting for another month to get a chance to re-roll them.

I haven't claimed them yet, so the expiration countdown hasn't even started yet.

I'm not really crazy about music rally, it is hard getting those gold, I always run short by less than 2 hundredths. It's aggravating.
At the very least they are going to keep you busy for a while so you do not run out of new content in a matter of a day 😅

I still got some hope the Evo 9 makes it, along with the TC model from GT5 and 6. Gives the S15 TC some company. D:

They literally have Gr.4 cars with these Tc's just ready to go with their normal upgrades to edge polygon count increases . No one would complain if they brought the majority of Tc's back as Gr.4 cars. The ODD balls are the civic and miata which are just out there . But like all the other Tc's can realistically be dropped into Gr.4 and not look out of place.

There seems to be a bug with Music Rally 8, in that when you complete it you get stuck on the music track thumbnail.

I don't know if it works all the time, but what I did to get around this was to pause just before the end of the song. Then it doesn't get stuck upon completion.

Hope this helps those that are experiencing the same issue.

Nenkai talked about it:

But it seems to be an intermittently reproducing issue - I did finish it (with a silver).

Wondering if anyone else realized this:

The final Music Rally is set to Moon Over The Castle. (captain obvious moment)

The moon is out during the entire length of the race. There is a castle within the land that Nürburgring Nordschleife occupies, the Nürburg Castle.

It is a literal moon over the castle.

Oh wow, they actually did it, huh? I always thought it'll be fun to race with the song playing and with the moon over the Nurburg castle. lol

Plus it actually feels epic when you're looking at literal moons over castles on Google while you're listening to the song.

Sometimes, PD really can make something magical.

I always thought the final race in the game should play Moon Over the Castle in its last few minutes, the song's end coinciding with the race's end, but sadly that's not what we got.

Random question that I'm sure almost everyone will know the answer to. I couldn't find an "appropriate" thread so hope it's OK for this simple yes / no answer:

Is DR and / or SR affected when racing in Multiplayer mode / private lobbies (not Sport Mode)?

Thanks mate!

That's what I was hoping. Things can get really-messy in there so I've been using my alt account. Problem is I've got no friends in that one so ticking the "show rooms with friends" (or whatever it's called) box achieves nothing.

I hope you're right. If so, you made my day mate. Thank you!

Wasn’t the title inspired by Nürburg in the first place?

Moon Over The Castle was originally included in Masahiro Andoh's solo album called Andy's, released in 1996. This album was used as the basis of the album used in the NTSC-J version of Gran Turismo. The title being related to the Nürburgring is entirely coincidental.

Knight's Song, as mentioned by @SVX, was the version played by T-Square and was first included on the album Blue in Red, released in 1997. There are a few differences, mainly using an EWI as the lead instrument instead of Masahiro on the guitar.

For as much as I have no interest in the music rally events, hearing Moon Over the Castle get into it's final stride as you blast down the döttinger höhe was amazing
Yeah, I'm not a huge fun of Music Rally either but I'm pleased to see it coming after more than a year, nonetheless. It's still better than nothing and it clearly shows interest on their part. This gives me some optimism for a new set of endurance races and a new track next month! However, what really is concerning me is why the 'coming soon' disappeared in the Music Rally's menu? I hope that the 12 music rallys we got will not be everything we'll going to get for the next years to come!

It seems that these extra rallies were unfinished content from launch, that they finally got round to completing & releasing. I'm not hopeful we get anymore.

I know it wasn't really the focus of the latest update, but I'm real happy that they're finally going to give credit awards for your ranking in Sport Mode championships - and it looks like it'll be quite a bit to potentially earn, too. I feel like I've been asking for that sort of thing for quite a while.

I feel it's also an improvement of how GT Sport does it, because for Nations in Asia the prize money will always almost certainly go to Japan.

That's one of the best things about the patch, along with the new penalty's collision feature as the new amazing cars.
