Can someone tell me when we have to submit our prediction to World Series Campaign and the most probable winners? Thanks in advance!

Not yet (it's five months, I put it in the update article), but if we assume that this update contains no new track and the next content update will arrive at the end of August (24th or 31st) it will be at least half a year without a new circuit location, yes.

Grand Valley Highway-1 arrived on February 20th, the new Nurburgring layouts on March 30th.

To be honest. Something tells me that we wont get an end of august update. Probably next time in september or even at the end of september.

If we will though, Polyphony would be generous enough to give us an extra three or four cars, roughly seven or eight in one month.

Makes me wonder why they're not releasing as many cars as they could like back then in the GT Sport days. I mean sure, it takes nine months for one car to be built in-house, but I'm sure they have a vast library of cars that were already completed.

We’ll wait and see. The Gran Turismo/GT Academy livery was a surprise. Maybe a “24H“ Le Mans in the GTR LMP or some Gran Turismo themed(ironically, movie)events.

New endurance events, championchips or more high paying grinding events is more important than new tracks in my opinion if we get some of that this update would still be good, if we get an update in late august it would be nice but i dont feel the chances are good for that, if they push another update not until end of september my bet is on a larger update, but i proably still wait unless its big one in september, crew motorfest might keep,me busy a while in the wait for more content for gt7

I have the same feeling.
PD called this "august update" witch sounds like its only one, and said the corolla and the ambulance would become available for buy in late september witch lines up with a september update.
I would be very surprised if we get an update in the end of august.
I think its gonna be waiting from august 7th until september 28th. 🤢

PD also stretched the time for the Christmas update. As it is a normal company with normal people it's maybe also about people taking some days of. Same happens here in summer maybe. I just know that in my company it goes like that.

PD calling this august update while 2 of the cars can only be bought in september really rubs me the wrong way.

Yeah we could get them in august by participating in the events but still...

The cars and tracks are important for GT7 but the real deal are the events!!!
With no new events for as most possible use of cars is a real pain...
Finaly without a proper online structure of lobbies
These are the sections of game that must improve

The most batheling thing about the corolla and the ambulance is they could easily allow them to be bought right after the end of the online events. At max put them in the BC by the end of august. There is no reason for waiting until late september. Makes no sense.

I will, when PD gives me a "@#$%" pagani ticket.

Totally agree with the new events part! 100%

And people think the game lacks cars and courses...

...the real stinker is the lack of Missions, actual gameplay of Gran Turismo, unique experiences outside of Time Trials, online multiplayer and Catch-The-Rabbit chase-races. The "latest" (for lack of a better word) Mission Challenges we have is The Human Comedy, added to the game all the way back from Version 1.13, late April 2022. That's 15 months without new Missions as of the writing of my post. Surely in a company like PoDi they'd have a single employee, maybe a very small group or team, working on the creation of new Mission Challenges to add once in a while, but here we are.

I don't have much free time nowadays but from my point-of-view there hasn't been anything worthwhile for me to continue to play. It's been months since I've last played GT7. I'd rather have "gameplay" than "content" if that makes sense.

From Gran Turismo 6, the Sierra Time Rally was one of the best gameplay features they've ever added to the franchise, though it was limited to select cars you could use. All it needed was an Open Garage challenge so the player could use any car they wanted and it would have been perfect.

Since GT Sport, they've shown it's possible to implement it again, make it a separate Game Mode if they really wanted to, which would add a ton of replay value for me.

Even making the mission pay out each time would go a long way. It’s ridiculous that they're a one and done kind of deal. Why PD don’t think 1 hour’s commitment should be rewarded on subsequent attempts is just so … well … PD.

And as for Sierra, preach on. I would love a road to drive in GT, something like California Highway (PCars) as an example. Sierra was the closest PD have gotten, even if it was a “circuit”.

No, they can do stuff like that without a game update.
While I concur that it is not meaningful in update terms, I can't imagine we'll have a situation whereby two cars - half of the update - are fundamentally unvailable until after more cars arrive in a late-August update, and potentially after yet more cars arrive in a late-September update. And what if they do another one of these, technically adding cars but on a limited basis and non-buyable for weeks (and months) after it?

It's baffling that these two vehicles will be held back from general availability for so long.

Perhaps they are holding back content to launch when Forza Motorsport launches?
If I had a pound coin for every time there was an event - both within and outwith the Gran Turismo sphere - to which PD could tie a GT content update and didn't, I'd have enough money to develop Gran Turismo 8 myself.

Exactly, I'm hoping that we'll get another update towards late August or in early September. Only 2 cars for the entirety of August and (mostly) September is unimaginable.

In one fell swoop they could fix the "lack of content" problem, and the "replayability" problem.

The missions are already open to many different cars, can you imagine what a blast it could be attempting them with the cars from your garage?

How much or how little modifications would be necessary?

Learning about the strengths and weaknesses of various different vehicles.

All fixed by making repeat payouts

New missions and new meaningful events (like tokyo, le mans and sardegna) would take way less time to make than new cars.
It takes minutes to create a custom race.
Instead of skipping months with the excuse "we never promised you updates every month", they could have made "missons/events" only updates from time to time.

Where does this confidence that we’ll get another August update come from?

Did I miss something?

AFAIK tomorrow’s update was announced as “the” August update, no?

This is in fact the August update. I would not be surprised (in fact I expect) that the September update won't come until the final week of the month.

As the kids say, "copium"

People aren't happy with the rate of updates and are thinking "surely there's more than this" but there just isn't. The next update is late September. Why would Polyphony add 2 cars in this update that aren't available until 2 updates from now? (...Though why did they do that with them being 1 update away either?) The next update is late September, as the blog post mentioned.
