Don't forget grid sizes guys.

IMHO that should be the no-brainer improvement before anything else, far more-noticeable and relevant to those in actual races.

I don't know. Would dropping PS4 support for GT7 be enough to allow the improvements we want to see on PS5 (such as grid sizes), or would there have to be another split in features between PS5 Pro and PS5?

There's a large customer base already in-place on PS5, most of who, I'm guessing, won't be able to afford the Pro upgrade.
Exactly, imagine a 40 car grid size with multiclass racing. That would be a dream

At a minimum the Pro will offer a 90fps mode. Guaranteed.
Hopefully that’s the case. But I’m sure the staff at GT Planet will be able to give us the lowdown with the time comes. And it don’t think a PS5 pro is something I’ll necessarily NEED to pre order

I know there’s a number of people whom will object to this, but hopefully the release of PS5 pro signals the severing of the GT7 <——> PS4 umbilical cord. It’s time to take the training wheels off of GT7

Its definitely going to be targeted by scalpers until supply is abundant.
Even the Portal was.

Maybe, but I’m not seeing it. No supply chain issues this time around. Plus I’m not sure the “demand” for a PS5 pro is even that strong. But I could be wrong

What do you think will happen to PS4 players then ? If PS5 receives updates which do not impact PS4, they don't need to wait PS5 Pro.

Or you mean that PS4 players won't be able to play anymore ? Because that sounds higly unrealistic.

Just make all updates from there on out PS5-only as much as practical, forcing players into new consoles if they want the latest and greatest. Full Sophy integration, bigger grids for both SP and online, PS5-only DLC. Basically kill support by way of neglect, similar to how Kunos did with ACC PS4, and PD more or less did with GTS.

At least that’s what I’d do if I was in their shoes. Sony exists to make money, and a good way they can do it is forcing people into new consoles.

Help, anyone know how to do that replay camera glitch in willow springs where the camera angle is on the exhaust ?

This 'glitch' is obtained through Music Replay.

Choose a song to play that is not currently selected to play in your playlist. So the first angle that appears will be fixed.
If you don't get your preferred angle on the first try, try again, and again... and again...

Note, if you are playing a race replay, it's possible to change the angle using the direction button - up and down - on the control.

Works on all tracks. ;)

I'm not talking about that one, turns out what I meant is there's this specific camera angle at Horse Thief Mile where it's so low to the road you can aim your exhaust at the camera.

Right now I would even be satisfied with a 30 cars grid (a size that even GT Sport could easily manage, I think we all remember that multi-class endurance mission with 30 cars at Maggiore).

Another thing I would like is a rolling start but in a double row, and not with the current distance between one car and another (minimum 15 metres).

I did have an idea - have rounds of the Manufacturers Series that feature various road cars from each brand. Obviously, they'd be limited in some way, whether that's in terms of PP, HP, weight, or maybe even a combination of them somehow. If it'd be by PP, I think 550 or 600 PP would be a great limit that'd likely include a vast variety of cars. At the same time, I bet they'd have to be rentals - just like the Gr.4 and Gr.3 cars - but I think that'd keep things simple while potentially saving players tons of credits otherwise used on tuning. Said pre-set cars could be installed with widebodies, or perhaps even engine swaps, but otherwise would be typical road cars, as opposed to concepts, including VGTs. I think they could potentially be hybrids, but again, to keep things simple, I don't see EVs being permitted, nor DRS.

Frankly, I'd love to see something more done with Gr.2 and Gr.1, especially since I'm hoping we'll get a Gr.1-spec version of the Genesis VGT. (Never mind the various cars we've seen from LMDh/LMH, or the other three "Class One" DTM racers!) But I know I can't expect a separate championship for them, as I think it'd likely draw away players from the GTWS and TGR Cup.

On top of this, I was a little disappointed with Season 3 of the GTWS Exhibition Series Nations Cup, as I was really hoping for a bit more experimentation with what cars were eligible for each round. For example, instead of including all of Gr.3, why not limit the eligible cars to those specifically GT3 cars of the early 2010s? That'd include the AMG SLS AMG GT3, the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, the BMW Z4 GT3, and if it returns from GT6, the Audi R8 LMS Ultra from 2012. Plus I suppose the entries from Nissan and Ferrari could join in, too.

At any rate, I’m really hoping we’ll see much more interesting race regulations when the actual GTWS and TGR Cup kick off later this spring. Perhaps the TGR Cup could even involve the reveal of a new Toyota/Lexus/Daihatsu/Mazda/Subaru, like the 1999 TS020 or the Copen GR Sport. I’d especially prefer the TS010 over the return of the 88C-V, too, as far as Toyota’s Group C racers go. Maybe we’ll have a Group C-themed round, with your choices being the TS010 and 787B. Or maybe even a kei car round, with the options being the Daihatsu Copen GR Sport, Mazda Autozam AZ-1, and the Subaru R-2. Heh, maybe we’ll even get the N24-spec Lexus LFA as a Gr.4 car.

Dividing Gr.1 cars has been a commonly flouted idea given the class' balance issues, by the way... and there was a GT-R GT500 vs Supra GT500 round in 2022.

Honestly I thought this year's GR GT Cup should the launching pad for the current GT500 cars, so that they can have a round featuring the current GR Supra GT500.

Also I want to see the Xfinity Series GR Supra in the GR GT Cup, though that's a longshot.

I don't know if they should necessarily be formally divided into a "Gr.C", but I do think that instead they should have more events that have special selections within the major classes, just as we've seen races that specifically limit players to picking a Group C car within Gr.1, or the JGTC-era GT500 race you're mentioning.

I'd only want that if we also get the GT500 cars based on the Honda Civic Type R-GT and the Nissan Z. Plus maybe the return of Twin Ring Motegi for good measure. (I'm still waiting on the other three "Class One" DTM racers, too, from AMG, Aston Martin, and BMW.)

If we're going to get any NASCAR vehicles at all, I would vastly prefer the Camaro that recently entered the LM24 since it has functioning headlights and aero that's better-suited to a wider variety of courses.

I think the Championships section of Sport Mode is kind of underused in general. Don't get me wrong, I understand why they only run exhibition versions of the official championships (it's because having guaranteed races in GT3 cars drives participation numbers like nothing else), but I do wish in the off-season when it's just for pride that they ran a few more creative championships there.

Even if that's not possible, I wish they at least wouldn't use Gr.3/Gr.4 in Nations as well, that'd help a bit.

They don't need PS5 Pro to do that, they could start next month.
PD have already started with PS5 only features and updates such as Sophy & PSVR2.

HFW's paid DLC was PS5 only despite the base game also being available on PS4.

I could well see Pro being the point where PD start making updates that fundamentally change the game (ie, grid sizes). But these will only be available on PS5, Pro, PC (if/when the port arrives).

Only the online component (Sport mode specifically) needs technical parity. Any other changes will be graphical or single player focused.

If Sony/PD wants to take a complete break from PS4 they could release a PS5/Pro only SKU. Existing PS4/PS5 players could have a paid update route - as we've seen with TLOU2 Remastered and GoT Directors Cut.
I doubt very much raytracing during gameplay will be a thing...not without performance issues or a drop in framerate (such as the drop to 30fps currently seen with RT in replays enabled.)

I'd be very happy with performance improvements that cleaned up the glitches and frame drops currently existing in the game.
The jump in performance with Pro will be significant. A 2-4x improvement in pure RT performance, plus dedicated hardware for AI upscaling. PS5 doesn't have much (if any?) dedicated RT hardware, and certainly no dedicated hardware for AI upscaling. That's before we get into the 45% improvement in 3D raster performance.

I swear I posted or reposted the NASCAR Supra in a GR Cup promotion. I think it was from Abu Dhabi. I'll have a look.

Why cant you? Are they still hard to get where you are?
Still don't have the funds and weirdly last I checked, still unavailable. Its also not helped that its seemingly always something else at the Apartment I live that decides to break or stop working that needs to be replaced or fixed.
