and I just thought of something I haven't seen yet, custom race mode. I'm hoping they improved that as that could help make arcade mode more of a compelling mode to play. GT Sport had something there being able to pick what class the AI races while you picked whatever car you wanted to drive, but it really should be expanded upon. Such as being able to pick your exact opponents rather than just the class for instance.
YES, this is what I want. Just let us customize the entire grid

Not only that, the car selection. It has to have all the cars available for use (just like Free Play in the Xbox 360-era Forza Motorsport games), or should be like GT4 where obtaining a car in the Campaign would unlock it for permanent use in Arcade Mode.

From another interview to the Spanish media Meristation

“When it comes to AI development, it's something you can never be entirely satisfied with; but compared to GT Sport, the AI is faster and they will drive in a more humane way than they did in the past. "

"In total, at launch there will be more than 400 cars and more than 30 circuits; a figure that will increase to more than 100 routes if we add all the variables. When asked about the post-launch content expansion plan and if said policy will be similar to Gran Turismo Sport, we didn't get a response because they couldn't talk about it right now. "

Finally some news to be excited about again. The AI is very high up on my priority list for this game and to get some confirmation that they're working on it, is nice. I think we can also be happy about the DLC plan. If that's similar to GTS it's pretty good. I still prefer if they had set dates, kind of like season (look at games like Rocket League, Fortnite), with set seasons you know when new content is coming and can look forward to it and prepare.

I've not seen this myself, but on Reddit a post was made and someone quoted from it that when talking about the PS5 version, the only thing they talked about was the decrease in loading times.
That's... from our interview. You're posting on GTPlanet about stuff posted on Reddit about stuff posted on GTPlanet...
“The loading time is so different between the PS4 and PS5 that it’s a completely different experience. That’s just something that’s unavoidable between the two,” explained Yamauchi. He confirmed that, in terms of features, the games will be exactly the same.

oh for real? I did not realize that lmao

Saw this IGN article, at least a confirmation that other classic tracks are being worked on.

“In regards to the other tracks it’s not like we’re not working on recreating some of those as well, but that put aside, the reason we needed High Speed Ring is because it’s really a track that’s suited for a beginner driver,” says Yamauchi. “And Trial Mountain just happens to be one of my favourites as well, so that’s the reason it was selected.”

This is my biggest concern with GT7 at the moment. The fact High Speed Ring and Trial Mountain could end up as the only returning classic tracks available from launch. We need at least Grand Valley and Deep Forest to be there as well from day one.

Well, Kaz is quoted there saying others are being worked on, so that's good news :)

The trees are different
I mean they can't add other stuff like skycrapers when tsukuba it is like that. I think it is a good improvement from GTS, especially lighting, textures and grass
Oh im not complaining on the upgrades on this track. Its just that he compared it with a bad photo of GTS and there isn't any drastic upgrade or change like he said. If it looks like that in game in GT7 than its a decent upgrade actually compared to GTS. Also noticed in the gameplay part of the trailer that grass blades are actually in game this time which was missing in GTS in game.

I was suspicious at first glance, but just now I've decided to put both maps in the same scene, and it looks like we'll have layout changes. (Someone more talented than I could do a juxtaposition XD)

Yeah in terms of graphics for a game still held back for base PS4, the addition of dynamic time, weather and 3D cloud system is already a nice and impressive upgrade over Sport while still retaining the high quality baked lighting. So it was weird to try to add even more to that by saying track assets are drastically better when it’s obviously the same track assets made for PS4 hardware.

Most of the first half of this article is on that topic:

I didn't say there was a drastic change but very good improvements. I maintain, textures are much better, everywhere and the lighting has improved again.

But the texture difference and lighting differences are all because of different tod. GTS textures look the same (and even better on other tracks) when the sun hit them at the right angle like the GT7 picture. So i don't see how the textures are much better?

And btw those are all in game, not even from the photomode.

Textures and reflections are also a bit improved and the resolution is also better
