Just make it look like this at the end of a race.

And the pre-race stuff from Shift2 where people are all over the grid. Would be nice. (As background before you click to enter the race. Instead of panning shots of the track and cars driving around)

Man, I love the pre race in GTS with the sounds and the different view points. Something I’ve posted in the wish list thread.

This right here. I’d love pre race.

I do too, but trees are not at the top of my list of things that needs to be fixed, which it seems to be for some of you guys. I think they look good, and they’re done in a very effective way to conserve processing power so that frame rate is not affected.

How anyone can look at this video and go; “My gosh, the trees are outright hideous! Yuck! Not acceptable at all!” is beyond my comprehension, but then again, my eyeballs are non-existent, so who the hell am I to talk, right?

It's impressive how good the trees actually look in GT Sport looking at this video to compare to real all while running well on the PS4.

I don't have the spatial awareness to appreciate them while driving though. They look like they have met their objectives as stated in the article below on GTPlanet.

How Gran Turismo is Made: A Behind-The-Scenes Tour of Polyphony Digital

"Because of their natural complexity, the most difficult things to model in the environment are trees. Kazunori said it is a special field and requires a lot of creativity from the 3D artists; they have to make the trees as realistic and believable as possible without creating too much load on the console’s limited resources."

Going by following article, they are working on something that will also save time too. If GT7 successor is PS5 only then should have more margin to improve things than how they are currently too.

Polyphony Digital Presents Procedural Landscape Generation Techniques at CEDEC Event

Yeah but it has to run alson ps4 so they can't do much about it i think,it's already a miracle they managed to put in dynamic tod and weather and real time generated volumetric clouds while keeping 60fps cap
If PS4 Pro was already doing something like 1800p checkerboard with very small dips, id expect GT7 to be between 1080p and 1440p with the extra things you mentioned.

Either way the resolution is going to take a hit along side lower settings.

As for the PS4 version.. gona be interesting.
Optimisations can only go so far.

Edit- was GT sport dynamic res?
Seeing as most modern games use a dynamic res, id expect it here too.

No GTS hasn't dynamic res.
Yeah GT7 on ps4/ps4pro probably it will have lower res (they probably will use a dynamic one like on many modern games)than GTS which im totally fine as long as there is a good improvement from the previous game

Yess. So full of life.

Fanatec Black Friday page is up:

New product teased at the bottom. Pretty sure we're gonna see the DD for PS5/Gran Turismo. The hashtag is suspiciously similar to the one used in the GT7 Behind the Scenes videos. #feelyourline and #findyourline.

Fanatec is afterall the official wheel provider now, and a PS version of the CSL DD was already confirmed in the works and to be release before years end, so .. :)

Thoughts?

I’ll be getting that wheel at the first opportunity, I just need to figure out what cockpit I need.

My G29 still works perfectly fine after 4 years, I just want something more powerful.

Now that the Mazda DPI is retiring, would be a really cool car to add to the Gr.1 class. Their final race livery specifically would be neat because of all the signatures from the fans and the crew on the car.

IMSA Spoiler included

If you are going to put a spoiler in a message in future please use the correct 'spoiler formatting'. There is no point writing spoiler included when you have a photo next to it. We can't all watch these things live.

Why would there be a trailer because of a new wheel? A niche of a niche, expensive wheel at that which 99.9% of people won't play the game with.

I certainly don't recall any such trailer for any previous wheels.

You know the drill with this forum by now

You’re right. I have no eyeballs, I’ve never seen a tree in my life (because no eyeballs) and my spacial awareness is off (again, no eyeballs) but you know what? I prefer that to being a miserable brat with perfect eyesight, like you guys, who are bothered by freaking trees in a damn racing game.

Whatever you do, don’t buy the game, because I fear the trees will be in the way of your enjoyment.
I still don't get it, you don't have eyeballs, right?
