I am mostly looking forward in the stuff that we havent seen as of yet talked about, be it the Dynamic time/Weather effects, sounds, physics and possibly some new features. Ah yes forgot to mention PS4 vs PS5.

But again not gonna hold my breath for all of this.
But comeone PD blow me away! :mischievous:

I'd love for GT7 to have a better presentation of the cars in the dealership. dont get me wrong, gt sport easily has one of the best demonstration of a dealership but id really like to see uniqueness in the dealership of each brand, each car having specific animations/backgrounds catered to it, etc.

I don't know about license plates,i think it's just a cool pic for the menu 'Other' might mean decals on the window.
If there were license plates we might've seen them by now.

I don't think there is any reason to think custom plates would have been shown as there is a whole lot about the game left to be revealed.

My take on thw AI situation : (I even replecated the videos provided)
Mercedes W08
Audi R18 TDI
Please ignore the driving line (Vision issues) and i used replay for the final lap with the Mercedes because i completed it an hour after the first 3 (Thats why its so terrible).

This guy's race against F1 AI in GT Sport is pretty comparable and he's even cheating with his super soft tires.

How is using something the game provides (And a grade of tyre used in real life) cheating?

I'm talking about their behavior not their pace.
Well in my run they were awful (Notice how many times they left the door open/forced me to brake much more than i had to).
SS tires are obviously going to be faster than the medium or hard the AI have.
Thats the AIs problem not his/her.
GT never ever had good AI. It's been plaguing the series since its first installment. I even am pretty sure that there are PS1 titles that put GT Sport's AI to shame.
Thats a bit harsh  .
n terms of pace, no. But in the original video posted the AI never overtakes the player. The pace difference can be explained by the tire choice.
Well i used Hards and with the mistakes on the final lap i was 8 seconds behind in overall time so thats not saying much.
I think their philosophy with AI is to have them be progressively better the further up the field they are so even really bad players feel like they can make progress
Thats why most games use a difficulty slider these days. If someone wants that great but why drag the others down?.

but youtube is hard to search for content.
Really...
If they are going to start you most of the way down the field they can't have the AI blocking every overtaking opportunity or casual players will get frustrated very quickly.
Difficulty slider.
Every PC gamer I know has like 500 Steam games they bought on sale and never played
Talk about bad money management..
No. Watch this video. At 9:00 he explains how the AI will add seconds to their lap times to let you win. They also attack and defend as shown in the video just not consistently as again they want you to win and finally they take conservative lines so their lap times are artificially slowed again to let you win. It's a design choice. If they let you qualify to first the design choices I think would be very different.
Thats precisely the problem.
That's just not true though. They do protect the inside line often.
No
This is the first video I saw just now on YouTube searching for GT Sport AI and I thought it looked quite competitive.
It really isen't.
I've yet to do a race against the top AI in the game and done none of the GT League races so may give it a go
Oh that explains it.
Considering this driver is A rated in the game with majority of players below that level, it seems like it will very hard for most players to beat the AI in a short race depending on where they start.
So i started 4 places behind him and finished 7 above him that would make me A+ right?
Kazunori-san has said the AI is faster and more human like in GT7
He also said the AI of GT3 will have human emotion so...
10th place is a respectable finish when the competition is racing hard like that.
Given that i finished 3rd its not however even tho i achived almost the same race time, the top AI was almost 9 seconds slower in my run for some resson.
90% of players probably can't keep the car on the track for one lap because they don't know the racing trajectories, braking points etc. let alone knowing if the IA is doing it right or not
Honestly?..
Was that a GTE ford gt car i saw?

Yes sounding nothing like the real thing sadly.

This statement is going to age like milk left on the counter. In 2 days we will see some major reveals.
There are things to be explained like Time of Day and weather but "a whole lot" ? I have my doubts. It's a good thing to be wrong about tho

Actually, we have seen them once, but it was back in the very first trailer so most people have probably forgotten. In the first trailer, the BAC Monos are running square UK plates with the registration 'BAC 01' :)

Anyone here was around the GT Sport pre launch speculation? Was it this "heated" ? GTS had even less content so i can't imagine it was all happy vibes 😂
Honestly, this ones very, very mild right now.

I don't know about the other staff, but this one right now is quiet in comparison to all the ones I've witnessed.

The most heated in my recollection would have been the hours after the Standard cars and tracks were revealed for GT5.

Well, for starters, what I rhetorically asked a few days ago
How is the career mode structured? Is there prize cars? Grid starts, qualifying?
How is rally mode structured? We've seen a couple cars jumping in the dirt, that's about it.
What weather features are there? Thunderstorms, snow? How truly dynamic is the track?
What improvements have been made to the livery editor?
Are there any new events or differing formats in Sport Mode? Is there a new improved penalty system?
What are the "other aerodynamic parts" we can add to cars? How many cars can have those?
How has scapes improved other than having more of them?

I guess ol’ Shingo didn’t take my kind advice on board 🤔
People really get to serious with this stuff, like it’s a game for our entertainment, you would think Kaz and company did something to/for their family. And I’m all for a good debate or mature conversation but dang..

So PD has 30 minutes to convince me to pre order GT7. Good luck to them.

Looking for competitive AI rather that slowing down to let you pass then speed up to keep up with you (GT6 and GTS)

Grid starts.

Qualifying.

A GT-mode that puts GT3 and GT4 in my mind.

Polyphony are in my prayers. I hope they don't lose any sleep tonight wondering if they have done enough to please you. 😁

that just what it had.

Yes indeed. But normally that doesn't matter in a Gran Turismo game. They'd just put either nothing there or have the make/model put on the plate instead. With the combination of that detail being included and the icon in GT Auto, I think it's a fairly safe bet numberplate customisation will be available to some degree.

They did do something to my family. If this game sucks I will have to spend more time with them 😞. J/k but you're right sometimes we get a little heated but it is okay we all want to see the best version of Gran Turismo it can be.

When every car in the field has the same one - it's default to the car without customization. This is the plate that the Mono uses in place of the auto show style one you'll see on other cars in the game.

Perhaps a better argument for plate customization can be made by these two images.

Notice the car model is the same. But the plates on GT Auto are different from the default plates. Although, this could also just mean the plates are part of a body-kit, and cannot be changed separately.

You're right that its a sign of plate customization, but lets not forget. It was already possible to change what your license plate had on it by using the 'Other' decal channel. Though, definitely think it was changed here using a feature in GT Auto.

OO

Oh i remember the standard debacle,it felt like GT was way more in the spotlight back then,so it felt like everyone was talking about the delays and the standard models and eventually the vacuum sounds meme.
But my god if GT7 debacle is the quiet one around here 😂
