Looks like someone broke an embargo date by a few hours. Also looks like Tom Henderson was wrong yet again.

On Monday 31/1 and Tuesday 1/2 we had the opportunity to see a distance presentation of Gran Turismo 7 by Kaz himself, but also to watch a live "Q&A", an online interview on the substance, events in from which the creator shared a lot of information about the new game, unfolded his vision for it and answered several questions posed to him by the media.
Confirmed 34 locations at launch. We already know 33, seems highly likely 34 is Apricot Hill.

In terms of routes, initially, from the first day of release of the title, they will be shared in 34 locations around the world, with real or imaginary routes with 90 different routes so as to offer variety to the player.
Not much else of substance.

With the embargo breach seemingly confirming end of FIA involvement, but with official championships still going on, I could see them operated by PlayStation Tournaments at this point (they already do fighting and sports games at this point).

I hope the licenses are hard to gold again. I miss the times of spending over an hour trying to gold a single test - felt like you really earnt it when you got the reward car at the end of it.
I'm going to say no to this. In past games, it got to a point where it was so demanding, you didn't feel satisfaction for completing it, just relief that you'd been released from the torture.

FIA isn't seen as one of the partners in Brand Central anymore (just Michelin, BBS and Brembo).

It also seems as if Lewis Hamilton's partnership isn't returning either?

There's definitely a happy medium though - Sport (and 6, aside from the Veyron at Ascari which was.. another story) could be golded with your eyes closed if you knew how to drive a car.

I don't think it should be something that's necessarily "easy" to do - to complete, yes, but definitely not something easy to perfect.

Let's be honest, they're all pretty boring anyway if you've already played all previous games. They don't teach you anything. They're just something you do because they're there.

That's fair - I think my fondness for them definitely comes more from the satisfaction of having something to perfect & beat.. rather than actually enjoying going around a hairpin 16 times until I get the time they want :boggled:

ferrari f430 confirmed
polyphony acknowledging the yellow evo 5 meme
there is a drag racing mode
a wingless fk8 civic type r is shown

here's the translation of stuff that matters (I used an app I am not a native greek):
First of all we have the return of World Map, a hub, through which players will go to different parts of the game depending on what they want to do each time. From this hub we will gain access to various places, such as car dealerships, routes and races, Missions, Garage, the point where upgrades can be made, a used car shop and much more.
At Gran Turismo 7, players will be able to race up to 400 cars, which will be sourced from three sources: Dealerships, used car dealerships and the legendary car shop. In terms of routes, initially, from the first day of release of the title, they will be shared in 34 locations around the world, with real or imaginary routes with 90 different routes so as to offer variety to the player. All the races will be held on these routes, from the simple and classic Sunday and Clubman Cups to the special missions and the big championships.

Of course, the technical part of the title is also important, since it is the first first party racing game that we will see for the PS5. So according to Kaz, the GT7 on the PS5 will have two display modes, one aimed at "the highest possible frame rate", with a ceiling of 60 fps, and one with an improved display where Ray Tracing mode is activated for improved lighting, shading and, above all, reflections on the bodies of vehicles. Emphasis on sound was given by the creator of the series, who referred to a 3D audio model called "3rd Order Ambisonics". Through this audio model, Kazunori Yamauchi promises 3D audio performance, comparable to that of a 16-channel audio system but through conventional, stereo speakers. All the sound effects of Gran Turismo 7 will be played through Ambisonics, however it was stressed that the effect of this coding will be more visible and intense with the use of headphones. The sound in general was given a lot of importance, from the music themes to the vibrations that will come as "sounds" in the DualSense control, thus showing the great interest of Polyphony Digital in this part.

Finally, we have the Showcase, a hub for creating and sharing content, which aims to highlight the creative concerns of players, but also the Music Replay where the cameras will change dynamically and based on the music every time we see the replay of a match.

sorry if this was posted before

One minor thing I was wondering - in the launch date trailer and some screenshots we’ve seen the map in both day and night. I wonder if this will change based on your local time?

In the current screen shot, it’s 23:23 and the sun is rising or setting. Unless that’s England, the sun won’t be seen at that time.

Hadn’t picked up on that 😂 I guess it’s just going to be random then!!
