I guess I should ask, for paint options, we are allowed to use whatever colors we want from the OEM's own stocks, correct?

If I wanted Grabber Blue on a Ferrari, I can?

Maybe it's because I woke up on the wrong side of the bed today but I have lost all hope of there being dynamic weather in sport mode.
What makes you say that? They've hardly touched on Sport Mode so far.

So i was rewatching the SoP video, and i found a colour with a pretty interesting name...View attachment 1111199
You thinking what I'm thinking?

It would appear so. We were able to do it in GT6 and in GT Sport so I imagine its definitely possible.

Thank god we have internet these days. Car and track list is a joke, lets hope they add more in a rapid and constant pace.
I mean comon, theres so many duplicates, racing versions of the same chassis, they count a reverse layout as a track lol. Most annoying is the lack of european cars. I loved gt4 because you could get, maintain and drive your dream car. You could discover cars. This then just looks like some utter crap as of now, and considering it was a "state of play" i saw very very little actual gameplay.

You can have more and better cars, graphics, physics and fun online on a PC than the absolute trainwreck that is sport mode.

Consider that i would need to get the following in order to "fully" experience gt sport 2.0:

Fanatec GT dd pro
Fanatec Shifter
Ps5
Tv thats good enough

Id reckon thats about 2-3000 euros.

I already have a PC, vr headset, the big name sims and a pc compatible rig. Its getting clearer that PD and GT is more about winning over mariokart players on gamepads than being "the real driving simulator". I mean comon sure, eventually they will win me over aswell out of pure nostalgia but the development in key areas seem to have stagnated completely. Im sure my frustrations arent unique, so i guess im not gonna rant to much, lets just hope for more...
Remember that they had to rework every existing track to utilize the new physics and lighting engine along with whatever other graphical improvements made to the tracks from GTsport which I assume was likely done but I don't have an eye for in these videos.

I'm really not trying to be a pessimist but based on what you said and that Kaz has apparently been quoted saying sport mode will be the same has me thinking that dynamic weather won't be in. I really don't trust anything certain devs say unless I see it for myself.

I wonder whats going on with the Lewis Hamilton content. His “brand” is still in brand central.
In the video they mentioned he consulted on the handling physics for GT7 so I think he is still involved.

Hello everyone. Im new here and will start complaining from the start :) I just love gran turismo games, spent hoooooooours playin' it, but I will be very dissapointed with this new installment as in my opinion its a "run for the money" again. WHERE ARE NEW CARS? It looks like they are using same and the same sh** again.

Where is latest Focus ST from 2019? (Still 2015 model being used). Where is Megane IV RS from 2016? (still 3rd generation only..). Where is latest Golf R? Where is Hyundai I30N? Sorry, but they claim to have 300-400 cars but these are the same models/cars mostly as introduced to GT Sport.

I think they will likely have to release the new Gr.3 and or Gr. 4 lineups all at once to keep a level playing field but I think it definitely will come eventually.

You won’t need those things listed to experience the game, however judging by the posts you made before and this one it seems like games not for you.
Whether a game pad or any other wheel other than a Fanatec GT DD Pro can still giving you the GT experience,
if you think you can’t then maybe the issue is you and not the game, developer or the way people like to, want to and/or only be able to play it that way,
Congratulations you’ve further cemented my opinion of you 👍

If they did make a GT to suit your list then you realise the player base would be tiny? How fun would it be in empty lobbies? GT isn't a hardcore sim and never will be, that isn't it's mission goal. You may as well be getting mad because you cant ride horses and collect herbs and flowers in Grand Theft Auto. Not all games across a genre need to be clones.

Also you said you will buy it anyway. Sounds like PD have nailed it from a business perspective.

PC master race intensifies.

Seriously with attitudes like this, is it any wonder so many players don't want to get online and play real people?

Wow! Only 2-3000 Euros? As I don't have anything to "fully" experience PC racing it would only cost me upwards of $50K... and that's before I get the VR headset, shifter and games.

A base PS4 and the game is all you really need, just like I could probably realistically get by with about $3k AUD to go PC racing. There's really no need for the exaggerations.

Gotta be honest, I think there's some significant aspects of Yamauchi's philosophy of drawing new fans in to cars that's totally wrong.

It seems that he feels that young people aren't interested in cars and it's on himself to fix this but the answer isn't to turn the game into some pretentious virtual museum, it's to give them something fun to do. If they like it, then they'll go out and seek more information, but that information is an extra, it's not the main feature.

But hey.. Music Rally...

Honestly, I don't feel they should go for a full deep dive into it though. Forza seems to be taking that on in full and it's very hit and miss, because there's just too many people to please. It's a difficult road to tread it seems like.

If you build it and make it fun, people will come.

Battlefield 1 was a great FPS and a stand out game, and the historical elements in the codex for weapons, battles and miscellaneous aspects of the Great War made me more interested in the subject then at any point learning about it in high school.

Moreover, people aren't getting into cars as they used to because of the costs of owning one, the very clear environmental risks in using it, and the fact that cities absolutely should be built for public transportation first and foremost. What is Kaz trying to bang 'the greatness of the automobile' going to do against those aspects? Jack, frankly.

Continuing the Fittipaldi EF7 situation/investigation here:
Wait I just realized....

The Fittipaldi EF7's GONE!
View attachment 1111051View attachment 1111052
It seems to be missing from the brand central though, interestingly Shelby, Plymouth and Pontiac are gone too, but i assume it's because you can only get them from Used car dealership and Legenadry dealership, so that means that the EF7 can only be in Legendary dealership or it will be in Brand central, but it's not there in this build for some reason. Maybe it's some sort of a special car you can only get by winning an event.
First I thought they might have been moved to Pininfarina, but they're not in Europe section either:
View attachment 1111206

Also it is worth noting that we haven't heard back from Fittipaldi Automotive regarding the production of the real-life cars (apart from the sole known auto show prototype) ever since "spring 2018" date range passed.

EDIT: TVR is also missing from Brand Central, too - except they don't have a MY01 car or newer yet.
I've noticed that Fittipaldi Motors' social media has not posted anything since May 2017, that's another clue.

EDIT: Their website gives 404 error too; the last working capture was on January 12.

As far as I can see, the only post-2020 cars on the game is the F8 Tributo, GR Supra, Lambo V12 VGT, Porsche VGT and I think that's it

Age of Empires did this as well, there was a lot of historical information in the booklet, none of which would've landed if the game wasn't fun.

A lot of games actually had interesting information in the booklets, but they weren't out there selling the game on what was in the booklet.

But it remains a fact that there was a giant leap in visuals from GT2 to GT3.
I never doubted that.
there are 36 cars new to the series.
The Master car list indicates 34 and its not fully updated yet, so im sure that number will end up quite close to GT5's number so its not as bad as it may seem.
and some of them can be seen as duplicates (M3 89 * M3 sport evo, AMG GT-R * GT-S,...)
Not really.
That depends of your point of view.
Well yes but cars like the 1927 Mercedes are unique regardless.

I mean comon, theres so many duplicates,
Not really.
racing versions of the same chassis,
This happens in real life as well.
they count a reverse layout as a track lol
No they count it as a layout .
Most annoying is the lack of european cars.
Im pretty sure most of the new cars are European.
I loved gt4 because you could get, maintain and drive your dream car. You could discover cars.
im not sure about the first 2 as i don't know your dream car but you certainly can discover cars.

Or 0.

Weird flex but ok..

Took you long enough. Also gamepad=Mario Kart player cliche..
than being "the real driving simulator".
When will people stop using that as an argument?..
I mean comon
Im here , i heared you the first time..
Im sure my frustrations arent unique,
They kinda are.
"run for the money"
You mean a business wants to make money?
WHERE ARE NEW CARS?
Have you missed everyone so far?.
Where is latest Focus ST from 2019?
Well we got the RS.
