Am I the only one who thinks the new graphics looks kind of "cartoonish"? I can't point out what it is but maybe it is the new color palette?

I'm just hoping they stick with the GT Sport model when editing car colours where you have chips with preset colours but you can pick any colour you wish... because I can't be bothered searching for 2 of the same black to do my bodywork and tyres.

Continuing the Fittipaldi EF7 situation/investigation here:

I've noticed that Fittipaldi Motors' social media has not posted anything since May 2017, that's another clue.

EDIT: Their website gives 404 error too; the last working capture was on January 12.
If they went out of bussiness, could PD still put the car in the game? I mean it is a VGT car after all so maybe they could get away with putting the car in the game even if they don't have the FM license anymore, beacuse the car was technically made for the game right? Even though they did intend to make few production cars. If that's the case then that might be why we don't see it in Brand central and PD just simply put it into the Gran Turismo brand in the Brand central, maybe they even changed the name just like they did with the Lotus 98T.

I don't know if this has been talked about yet but it looks like wide body modification is one and done, you can't go back.

No, it was discussed two pages ago. Cars looking a bit too plastic, specifically.
Could that be related to the colour of specific cars? I've noticed that many real life cars look very plasticky due to their colour with Ford's Grabber Blue being only one of many offenders. Every time I see cars that colour it looks like this to me...

I don't think they can do that, considering each VGT are still each brand's IP (hence why they could appear on other games; mostly mobile though).

It's worked with speakers and not just headphones for a while now

I didn't know this! Thanks!
So for the first time they finally added 3 separate difficulty options for the Campaign Mode.
This is great news for all players, not just veterans.

As good as this game looks, I have a few concerns/issues that need to be discussed:
-The HUD has not been updated enough IMO. It looks too much like GT Sport and that bothers me because it makes the game feel older. Tonnes of effort has been put into other features soo why has the HUD been hung out to dry? Just lazy to be honest.

-I don't know how the weather system will work on PS4 because it sounds extremely complicated. Project Cars 1 and 2 struggled to keep a consistent frame rate and DriveClub only worked at 30FPS, so I'm very concerned for those PS4 users.

-I'm still worried about the physics because GT Sport had a heap of underlying issues that made some cars undriveable. The amount of work needed to address these issues is pretty major and I just don't know if the physics engine can support such changes. It should be able to but there's still a lot of unanswered questions surrounding the physics.

-How exactly does the career mode work? Do you just go from track to track ticking off events? Are there continental and cross-continental series? Can you win prize cars? What about DLC events? How will they work? Will they just be added to the roster like GT Sport? It seems to me that each track has a set of activities to choose from, updating regularly based on previous events you've completed. But I still don't know how this will work.

-Will be there be restrictions on tuning parts? How stringent will the regulations be for each event?

-What about pit stops? Will they be the same as GT Sport? I really want to see proper pit stops in real time with animated pit crews, not the stupid thing we had in GT Sport which made zero sense.

When do you think the press and youtubers will get to play it ? Im hyped... Btw .. last section of the event.. i like the small hud on the right side.

I am highly suspect of roughly three quarters of what was said regarding weather. Will aero flow be different depending on weather and track geography? I'd bet a back molar it won't.

I think a best case scenario is that the drying lines will be scripted and will dictate the lines we take. Maybe the atmospheric changes and whatever they entail can be scripted but relevant.

The weather radar thing is a fantastic idea. I hope that will be of use in online racing but, again, I have my doubts that weather will be a thing at all in sport mode.

I found something interesting. Blink and you missed it. It looks like we can control certain effects and toggle on/off damage, dirt and oil stains. Does it mean that car will actually get dirty?
That's only in photo mode AFAICT mate.

'Cause it's a computer simulation, that's how. "Lens Cover Cracks"? Can obviously be added only in 'photo mode.

Point taken 'though. My initial thought was that it was optional after-the-fact dirtying-up offered by the mode, but you could well be right.

I love gt since gt1..
i bought every Playstation
console because of gt...

I forgive the mistake called gt sport..
But i have a feeling that the gt7 it will be another bad GT..

in the new gt7
The worst car list. (Gt isnt about race cars)
No VR support (because is a ps4 game too)
No b spec mode.
Nothing new about the physics engine.
No gift cars like gt6.
No track creator -editor.
No data logger for tuning.
And more features that missing.

So Mixed feelings about this new gt..

Maybe its time to move on..
Gran Turismo has always been about racing look at the racing cars even had racing modifications where you turned the ordinary car into a racing car.

I get the criticism but Gran Turismo has always had race cars from the beginning. Gt1 even had qualifying.

Gran Turismo also has lots of motorsport fans who love to replicate their favourite category.

Gran Turismo has not been just about ordinary cars but also motorsport too you know. Gran Turismo featured pretty much obscure racing cars that would barely feature in other games like the STP Taisan Viper, Nomad Diablo, Peugoet btcc, Lotus Espirit GT1 and the Venturi LM. Kaz even gets feedback from Japanese race drivers I think Keiichi Tsuchiya was part of it I think.

Gran Turismo is even synonymous with Super GT/JGTC.

Given the sheer amount of mods available in AC on PC you could have pick just about any title and been closer to the mark.

AC on PC literally embarrasses any other title in terms of sheer quantity of tracks and cars.

Touché. I should have thought about that more instead of picking a sim on a whim

And you can come too....

Thank god we have internet these days. Car and track list is a joke, lets hope they add more in a rapid and constant pace.
I mean comon, theres so many duplicates, racing versions of the same chassis, they count a reverse layout as a track lol. Most annoying is the lack of european cars. I loved gt4 because you could get, maintain and drive your dream car. You could discover cars. This then just looks like some utter crap as of now, and considering it was a "state of play" i saw very very little actual gameplay.

You can have more and better cars, graphics, physics and fun online on a PC than the absolute trainwreck that is sport mode.

Consider that i would need to get the following in order to "fully" experience gt sport 2.0:

Fanatec GT dd pro
Fanatec Shifter
Ps5
Tv thats good enough

Id reckon thats about 2-3000 euros.

I already have a PC, vr headset, the big name sims and a pc compatible rig. Its getting clearer that PD and GT is more about winning over mariokart players on gamepads than being "the real driving simulator". I mean comon sure, eventually they will win me over aswell out of pure nostalgia but the development in key areas seem to have stagnated completely. Im sure my frustrations arent unique, so i guess im not gonna rant to much, lets just hope for more...

Check this out dudes. Looks pretty good

Yes, this is in race photo mode. But if these options exist it means that the car gets visibly dirty during the race. I don't know if the car cleans itself after the race, but it would be cool if we could wash it for real.
Yeah, looks to be like in driveclub where the car gets damaged in race, but photomode gives you an option to reset the car condition to restored for clean pictures.

At some point someone found a debug menu where you could activate these settings in scapes in GTS, for some reason it was never updated. Oil stains might be new but the dirt and damage is the exact same stuff you see if you drive on rally tracks/grass/dirt, and the damage is the exact same paint scratches, cracked lights, and textured “dents” you pick up when you crash your car a lot.

I actually somehow acquired two glitched cars that have these effects permanently activated, a blue Corvette Gr. 3 road car with the dirt and a yellow Camaro with the damage/scratched paint. I just stumbled across them in my garage cuz something about their thumbnails looked funny, I have no idea how it happened or how I acquired them.

This seems like a natural evolution of this functionality in GTS’s hidden debug settings.

*Edit: Here’s the post from when I found the bugged cars:

Just to show you, damage happens anywhere, but I did hit a barrier and the headlight covering cracked and the bonnet latch got scratched as well. Had another photo of my Gr.4 M4 with wheel scratches. PD programmed some nice details of damage.

What's funny is some of these race wear were in GTS. Such as the dirty Audi LMP and the Group C cars. guess they decided to click the button for us to enjoy.

Edit: there you go. As Vspectra posted.
