I wouldn't want anything like ANNA, MotoGP AI is rubbish. F1 2020/21 would the hope but it isn't gonna happen.
I haven't played too much MotoGP if I'm honest, I read good stuff about the AI on MotoGP 19 and 20 :). F1 AI is good for sure, they really improved it over the years, and the games look good and run really well.

It doesn't look like it, no.
Wow that sucks :( Hope they can add tab with events for a future update. I hope there will be some sense of progression at least. The Beginner --> Amateur --> Pro --> Expert format is better than what GT7 seems to oofer :(

I have the impression that the menus at the café will provide that function. But I am still curious how it will work exactly.

This is the interior of Shigeno's Trueno as of 2015. Could this help you a bit?
Excellent! Thanks a lot.

Don't lose all hope! On the first page of the "World Circuits" page, at the bottom is a list of Championships (or a list of races in the current Championship, it's not completely clear). Based on the names of the championships/events, it seems that there may be a combination of single races (High Speed Ring Track Day) and multi-race series (Asia-Oceania Championship).

And on the track selection screen, we can see an event "Japanese Clubman Cup 550" which has races at Autopolis, Fuji, and Tokyo Expressway. The same is true of the "Japanese FF Challenge 450" which can be seen at Suzuka, Tsukuba, and High Speed Ring and "Japanese FR Challenge 550" at Tsukuba, Tokyo Expressway, and High Speed Ring.

I think there is still a lot that we don't know about how the campaign mode works, but it seems like it will offer some decent variety.

Imo gt caffe was purposely created to feel sense of progression.

Exactly. I also think this is PP limit, but event graphics are not final so "no PP Limit" is shown. In final game this could be different.
I was thinking it could be that there’s no PP limit for the player, but the three-digit number is the approximate PP of your expected opponents. In this regard, there could be another event with identical regulations, but with opponents that have a higher PP. That could be GT7’s equivalent of events from GTS like the “FR Challenge +” event, or the multiples of some events in GT3 where the only difference was the league they were in.

Yes but it seems you're still going to have to access each race in those series individually, going to each track. There isn't going to be a menu that lists all races in those events like there always used to be. If you want to complete the Suzuka race of the series, you have to navigate to Suzukua, and so on.

Again, I'm not really sure why you've jumped to this conclusion that we have to unlock career mode tracks via Cafe collections. There is no precedent to suggest that is the case. There is precedent to suggest that Cafe collections will unlock arcade mode tracks, because unlocking arcade mode tracks over time has been a staple of Gran Turismo since at least GT2. I see no evidence that your assumption is actually true.
Have you watched the video or looked at the screen shots?

Is there anything in particular that makes you think that we can't select a championship from the bottom of the World Circuits screen and get a list of events in that championship? Genuine question.

After watching the half hour presentation, I'm wondering were it will appear in the ladder of GT titles as far as solo play goes.

My score at the top is GT2, 3 and 4

GT5 and GTS quite a bit worse

GT6 right at the bottom. Totally the worse GT game

Any thoughts on where GT7 will fit in?

For those few championships, probably. But there doesn't seem to be many of those. I was referring to all the regular events that come up as available when you hover a track.

Considering this, I wonder what is considered "Arcade Mode" and doesn't require saving. Only "Arcade Race", or also "Custom Race" and "Time Trial"?
Custom races and time trials are also available offline in GT Sport, so it's probably the same for GT7.

Fair enough. There do seem to be races that aren't in that list (although the list does basically take up the whole screen width, maybe it's scrollable?) and I didn't actually see any races for those Championships listed on the track select screen. So perhaps races will need to be accessed both ways - or things still weren't finalized at that time of that build (December 17). At least we won't need to wait long to find out!

I think the question is why did Kaz say Arcade Mode is the only Mode that doesn't require online save? Meanwhile, it's among the other features.

I mean, I get it that the features are all shown with each track. Seems easy enough. A five race Championship will be different. We see at the bottom, Asia-Oceania, etc.

Doesn't bother me. At least I won't have to jump out of a track to then navigate another aspect of racing.
Thing is, hope Custom Race have all the tools like drag racing, practice, in a drop down menu.

This decision to drastically change the career mode is either going to come off as a brilliant move by PD or be one of the more contentious decisions made for GT7, I'm still on the fence with this, until I can see actual game play, hard to call, menu jumping & blindly going from one event to the next without seeing the big pictures are my concerns.
