$400 for a TV is dirt cheap as it will last years and is useful for many other things than playing one game.
And is effectively a shiny paperweight if you bought the TV specifically for gaming, but don't have the console or games to go with it. Like I said, the cost of playing games on a PS5 with the best possible graphics isn't just limited to the cost of the TV.
Yes and no. Its Polyphony and they incompetence. You really think is not a priority for they when the press and gamers are very critics with the IA since GT4? Sound unrealistic.
Considering the state of the AI in the games following GT4, it's not unrealistic. In fact, there's real, tangible evidence that proves it.

You don't have to assume anything, the GTS credits list one person working on the AI.

Doesn't strike me as a priority, no.

GT6 credits list two people, as did GT5 (same two).

How are we possibly getting to the point calling PD incompetence…. They produce great games. And if they do thing differently from what you would like they did they aren’t incompetent… the judgement man…
I posted days earlier.. you would think PD personally did something to people for the good or bad… I have been gaming for a long time and never ran across a game where all aspects of the game were A1.. never it’s just apart of life..

lol becouse THE ONLY explication (and unrealistic one) is that they do not want to make a better IA (becouse ressons), the incompetence doesn't exist.

"shouldn't fix" so if I disagree with you in THE REASON BEHIND OF THE PROBLEM, Its becouse I dont want to Polyphony fix the problems of the saga? Seriusly? 🤣

English is your second language, clearly, but jeez you need to read through your posts. This makes absolutely no sense no matter how many times I read it over.

$400 for a TV is dirt cheap as it will last years and is useful for many other things than playing one game. It's less than the console. If you're not playing in 4K even a PS4 Pro is being wasted.

I would like to make my own informed decisions about buying a TV and not buy any off the shelf cheapo TV from Best Buy simply because it has 4K. And whether you like it or not, TV's are a big ticket purchase. Some people have the income to buy one every few years and upgrade. I do not, so I want to make it count.

This isn't even getting into the fact that if I did buy a 4K TV, in your belief, I would need to buy a PS5. Not only do I not want to (mainly because I have a Series S as my next gen console, and have no interest in a PS5 other then one case which is going to be a while to even be announced) but the cost of a PS5 and a 4K TV together is basically enough to buy into a gaming computer even at inflated GPU prices...which is what I am feeling more comfortable investing in, and indeed, have.

Which once again goes to show how your misplaced optimism (bordering on pathology, if I'm honest) for GT often times is almost unrelated to the realities of, well, real life.

I did. TLOU2. Perfection. ❤️
I’m glad you feel that way lol, but don’t tell me there’s not things in the game that make you upset or aspects where it can get better… that’s what I’m talking about.

So a good game to you is where you find fun from and since GT5 you haven’t had fun gotcha… so that makes GTS and I’m guess from all your comments about GT7 an old dark aged sorry game because they aren’t fun to you… I understand now… I just had to know… as for TVs here in the states they are cheap and you can get a decent one for 3 to 400 bucks…but I don’t get into people financial situations.
So he can't call a game a bad game, and be critical of it, if he dislikes that game? How does that work? Does he have to like the game to be allowed to call it a bad game? Or is he not allowed to dislike the newer GT games, according to you?

The biggest issue with GT and AI is that Polyphony has been taken out to the woodshed by smaller developers with infinitely less resources then they do. That is the baseline Polyphony should strive for. Beat these small time outfits and make AI actually worth sticking around the campaign that they are pushing hard, for.

But as it seems to be, there seems to be a fair few people who treat this fact as an affront to the series as a whole, instead of, you know...the unvarnished truth, and something that Polyphony have effectively ignored. Much like they ignored sounds until they poached someone else to make it better.

What?!?! Might need to relax I asked him a question never said he was wrong or right wanted to specifically know what he considered a good game… please relax and don’t put word into my mouth..

I don't think anyone's truly expecting perfection, but there's definitely room to be critical of aspects of GT that PD has consistently fallen short on, especially when looking at what some of their competitors have done over the years.

Oh for sure! As I said I agree with everyone saying GT AI is trash… Do I want it to get better absolutely… Is it game breaker for me not at all..

I wish AI department had 28 people working on it,i see no problem with the size of the scapes team they did a fantastic job

This is the credits from GT Sport

You can ignore the context of the game, that game was desing arround multiplayer.

A game that bolted on a single player campaign after players voted heavily against it with their wallets. And a game that heavily informed Polyphony's design philosophy for the next title they created.

In what world is it a poor comparison?

Who is taking about "comprasion"? Im taking about GT Sport and the reason about the poor IA.

If Polyphony made a campaing, whatever be the reasson, they show us how much its they incompetence in some areas.
GT league was a poor intent to make happy some fans, but clearly the game was not prepared for that.

GT7 have a clearly better IA than GT Sport, I dont know how much but they work on it. If they don't make a good IA is not becouse they not wanted.
Yeah, AI had a whole 2 people credited in GT6.
And how many dev for Scapes? You are missing the point.

Considering Kaz said one thing and vertical slices of gameplay before the State of Play showed the opposite...who, or what, do you believe is more likely considering they showed two completely different view points?

We don't know what work on AI they have done. I am not inclined to believe Kaz's word because he has, in recent history, had a habit of either outright lying or trying to use flowery descriptors...which fans take as the truth and then get mad when it doesn't turn out to be the case.

And the sound conundrum from GT5 up to Sport shows that they absolutely can, and have, ignored major aspects of the game that were problematic because they do not see it as a problem until it is too late, and they are forced to fix it.

No, you just aren't making good ones.
If they don't make a good IA is not becouse they not wanted.
That would actually be exactly why, because they made the choice for it to be that way and found it acceptable. Whether it's good, or it's bad.

I'm not missing any point. GT6 didn't have 'scapes', it had 6 set locations for photos. Just pointing out that they've never had many people working on AI even in a single player centric game.

Not really GT7 related, but PD/Sony needs to slightly increase the upload limit for SVG files. 15kb is always so close to being not enough. Or it's usually not enough. 20-25kb would be perfect.

I not taking about Kaz words, I played GT Sport and GT 7 have a clearly bettter IA, you can see it in the previews.

The game develop is not just "go for more IA dev" or "if you can a good photo mode you can do a good IA". You actually mising the point, I not defending PD at all.

Thats the point!! GT6 haven't. The problem is not IA devs, we don't know how they work, its they incompetence to manage that area.

GT Sport had a better IA than GT6 with less people!

Well, we haven't really seem much of the game yet. We haven't seen any 100% new tracks, we've only seen a handful of cars, and importantly we've not seen much of the gameplay. How the AI are, how the career is structured and gated, etc. What we have seen so far is nothing new, other than minor things. There has been no new features yet.

Hopefully in the next few months when they show us more it'll be something that makes it more desirable.
Well, its a few months later, still haven't seen anything to make me want to buy it day 1 :lol:

I think you forgot what point you were making.

The guy originally said he'd like to see the same effort put into the AI that was put into scapes so both would be class leading. You said it was an assumption that they didn't put the same effort into both, so I provided the proof that they haven't.

Which game had which feature at what time is irrelevant, point is they put a huge team on Scapes and at most two people on AI over the last 20 years.

If AI is going to get better, they're going to need to put more people on it like they did with Scapes. I'm sure Scapes made by two people wouldn't have been half as good either. Nobody is saying they shouldn't have 30 people working on scapes, they're saying we want to see the same effort and staffing required on the AI.
