Pretty much the reason I stopped playing Horizon 5, for me once the single player is complete, I can't be bothered with the seasonal stuff to unlock cars I can't get any other way. I know the altered it in the last update to give more weight to single player gamers and reduced the points needed but it was still a pain in the ass to do.

I'd expect some grind in Gran Turismo, it's pretty much a series built on doing so but yeah I agree, everything should be attainable with solo play.
It's one of the worst aspects of the Forza Horizon games IMO, it's playing on players fear of missing out to make them feel like they have to keep palying the game and playing a certain way. If they want to introuce new prize cars, not tieing them into online challenges that must be completed witin a certain time frame would do the game a world of good. I didn't even buy Horizon 5, to be honest I have zero interest in buying it since I already have 3 and 4.

The map I posted above will be the main screen of GT7 I assume. I guess the online will be easier cause if you're at level 5, you will be up against a group of lvl 5 players which should be easier than lvl 46 which is where I stand.

No, that image from last September is the European circuits screen.

The main screen is this:

Incidentally, your player level has nothing to do with online racing. You are not matched with people who have a player level of 46, you are matched with people who have a similar SR to you and then to people within that group who have a similar DR to you.

This was already pointed out to you.

Another is the leveling system is based on your car collection score, not by XP earned from races.

French hot hatch challenge I like this👍 for sure it will not be the only one dedicated to affordable road cars.
Also, i not followed all GT7 news but this map isn't the same as the last video. French tracks were not visible during state of play (unlockable tracks or different build?)

Yes. And?

You were told by two different people on the last page that they were asking about the BLUE AND GREEN HORIZONTAL LINES, not the tyre compounds.

It's from September 2021.

PS4 isn't worth getting anymore, let alone for a single game... and GT7 might be one of the last big games also releasing on PS4. PS5 has far more of a future. I'd just wait.
Indeed, I’m mostly getting the PS4 version of GT7 simply because I already have a PS4. But I think I do plan to eventually get a PS5 and the corresponding version of GT7; it seems likely that we’ll be able to transfer our progress from the PS4 version. Not to mention that for me, personally, there’s the confirmation that the next Ace Combat game is being made for the next-gen systems.

Hey @Famine, any chance you could do me a favour once the review copy of the game finds its way to you.

If possible, could you buy any of the safety cars available and check if players can finally control the warning lights while driving. Please?

Hopefully they finally make them work like the hazard lights: off by default, activated via button once needed.

Also check the button assignments from the menu.

Thanks.

EDIT: added the missing magic word.

Not sure those things will be very high up on a reviewers list of things to do with GT7 when they get their code.

To me that looks like the PS4 version. Have a good look at the trees behind the cars and the grass at the side of the circuit.
Honestly, i kinda hope it is after watching that 😬

Edit,
Watched the video in better quality, its really only that tree that looked terrible.

I am stuck with the PS4, just can't find a PS5 for retail price... 25th Anniversary version it is then. Comes with a download code for PS4, and the disc for PS5. If there is no transfer between consoles, that would be very odd. Ace Combat still seems far away though.
