GT4 AI wasn't great but that was 17 years ago. It was OK for the time. It shouldn't be part of the conversation as a benchmark today.

Ignore the obvious slidey arcadey physics of this video (and the players less than stellar skills) and focus solely on the racing and the AI behaviour. It's simply worlds away from GT7.

Again, not saying that's perfect, it's not, but the difference in approach to the racing format is clearly completely different.

I cant believe GT7 still has no dashboard camera or even a helmet cam.

Seriously what are they doing?

Guys any one is streaming or has seen PS4/pro footage yet ?
This disturbes me a lot at the moment
Can wait until the 4th but will ba hard to handle any "unexpected" bas news about performance on the 4...
Thx if you have intel on your side

Just noticed that trial moutain main tunnel straight has a glassed roof now it seems
At least in reverse you can see/enjoy it

Several of the races (generally the high-dollar, optional ones) do have grid starts and closer AI, it seems that it's just the "mandatory" races with prize cars from the book that operate in the way so many people here seem not to like.
If that is the case then it just begs the question..

The streamer has already hit a point where the 1st car is starting ~25 seconds ahead of him. Sigh...

Thank you for repeating the obvious but that's not the point here.

The people who are modeling the cars are responsible for just that, nothing more. Everything else is out of their hands and it would be idiotic to blame them for whatever happens down the line.
This has to take the trophy for most random/irrelevant hill to die on

Seriously, how on earth do you know that the car modellers aren't involved? And more importantly, why does it bother you so much that someone suggested that they might? It's so trivial.

Samus you are the 1%
The plebs don't mind having an edge to just catch 1st place in order to win their low tier beginner race
But since chasing the rabbit back at the daily challenge of the PS3 era and racing the invincible GTSports KTM/ spoon S2000 in my custom races I know the feels

I'm not worried. I mean they wouldn't release an unplayable game of this caliber...

That's 100% how it works in GT. Camera offsets are stored in per-car info files that are packaged with their models, it's absolutely within the realm of possibility that the offsets depend on who was in charge of the car.
Fair enough. Bit different from what I've seen and heard regarding other games but I'll take the fault for assuming it would be the same case here.

Ah right there was no hard copies of PS4 versions released yet !
That explains it then thx for the heads up
@R1600Turbo i am not that worried since Horizon and knowing Poly caring
But still growing eager to that first glimpse of PS4 gameplay "reveal"
I've seen a couple of folks that got the game for PS4.

Which cars have we seen so far that can definitely have widebody kits applied? Any I'm missing?

Granted, there will be many more, just like counting these things in as I spot them.

R33
CSL 3.2
Pantera
911 (930)
GT-R '70

I've not blamed them for anything, and you can drop the personal digs, the AUP is quite clear about that subject.

Yes, you're missing a few. The Supra RZ has a couple of widebody kit options and the 2016 Renault Clio R.S. had one

In the state of play video, they show glimpses of widebody kits for other cars such as the EK9 Civic Type R, Lamborghini Huracan, and Nissan GT-R Nismo (I think). I also recall a widebody kit preview being shown for the R34 Skyine GT-R in a pamplet a while back.
