Based on SuperGT's video, most real tracks have rain (except tracks based in the USA).

Welp there go my hopes and dreams on a soaking wet meme race at Northern Isle...

Well this is complete BS, excuse me. Is it too much asking in 2022 , on systems that cost a fortune and can deliver huge power ? This is mass market , so kids or grandmas can enjoy beginner level if they want but grown-ups needs a challenge.

When I was a kid early 90's some games were incredibly hard, and I finished them after long training, we all finished them by training I'm no exceptional talent. Maybe you're not from the generation who trained hard to finish games. I personally need a challenge to commit to play games , otherwise I lose interest in a matter of hours. The majority of players needs that as well. Would you say the most played games at the moment are easy games ? No, they are so successfull because they are mainly online and people can find people that match their skills.

By the way I'm very casual gamer, between work/kids and so on . But I'm still good at this stuff.
It really all depends. I grew up playing NES. It was my second console and the best games were often the most challenging. But somewhere along the line, games became easy. But I think AAA devs are maybe starting to realize that there is a big market for challenging games, as FromSoft's sales numbers imply.

But as gaming becomes even more popular, the more players join in who just don't want to "work" for the dopamine. My brother and his friend are two such examples. They fell into the hype, spent their hard earned on a PS5 and bought multiple sports games. Now their consoles are just decorations because they can't cope with multiple buttons and the idea of "get good".

Does anyone else wish the rain meter was blue instead of white?

I agree 100% with you. My point was more kind of saying , we should all get the difficulty level we want. As far I am concerned I stopped playing Demons Souls after the 1st dungeon because it's just too much damn work, I don't thave the time or skills for this game lol.

So hearing once again "most people are fine with the AI" , that was too much for me =)

Just make sure you don't try to beat a world all in one go. After defeating Phalanx, you should head to world 2-1, then maybe 3-1 before trying your luck at 1-2.

Don't worry, I've had the game since launch and have been taking my sweet time with it. Only beat three bosses so far.

I have some questions:

1) Is it really true that there aren't any endurance races?

2) Is career made of only 100 single races? Or it was 100+ racing events/championships of multiple races each like GT4? I'm confused there

3) Is there tyre wear, mechanical damage and fuel in career mode races? Can you turn them off or on?

4) Are there special events?

5) Are there one make races and NASCAR?

Besides, it seems that even if some of the listed things aren't there, such could probably be added with future updates.

I may give it another go indeed, it's probably still the most beautiful game on PS5 and unfortunely one of thos developed only for PS5 (with Ratchet, maybe others). I wish GT7 had been developed for PS5, it would look so much better...

But first I have Dying Light 2 which is really fun (and not that easy I'd say!) and starting friday , finally GT7!

On Demon Souls I stopped after I won Phalanx "alive" and then I started visited a bit the cathedral or whatever it's called, I stupidly fell for my death from the stairs. I was disgusted and never played again! I'll start again and choose the easiest class, if there is one.

Based on SuperGT's review which I've just seen:

1) Outside of custom races and missions, not sure but there might be some that are unlocked later on.

2) There appears to be a lot there gets unlocked the further you go in.

3) There is tyre wear and fuel, but he didn't really mention damage.

4 & 5) He didn't really mention.

I assume the people saying the majority don't care about AI and race format have got some market research data or something similar to back up that wild hypothesis, right?
Well the fact that the GT7 is getting rave reviews and that the GT franchise sells in the millions are a good indicator, even though I care about the AI myself.

Does anybody know if the PS4 Pro also has a Performance mode in 1080p as Sport? I dont want to miss out the 60fps replays and motion blur during gameplay as in GTSport.

Sales don't prove anything. I bought GT6 and GTS, doesn't mean I was happy with the AI. I tolerated it until I'd had enough and didn't finish either game. Millions of casuals could do the same.

Nahh we are just going to go online with our friends and new people we meet and compete there… hopefully PD can fix the AI issues with updates, but at least we can still enjoy some good racing in the game!

I've heard it mentioned that dying in the Nexus after defeating a boss and regaining your corporeal form is the way to go. Something to do with world tendency.

I think GT7 will not disappoint in visuals. I'd say it would be the physics and maybe AI being held back by the PS4 version but, as we all know, Sony first party games employ wizardry. Polyphony is no exception. Horizon Forbidden West constantly stuns my senses, btw, despite being a cross-gen game. Surely there are limitations but I think the graphics of the game aren't as affected as other aspects.

What about the review scores, surely they mean something or you have a reasoning as to why they don't?

Apologies that your niche opinion within a gaming-bubble doesn't account for the entirety of the wider audience who really couldn't care less about some of the things you rant about???
What are you doing here if you don't like those talking about some critically important aspects of the game. Maybe your "thing" is time attack , well good for you, some of us here like racing against opponents.

What about most reviewers having a massive conflict to interest to deal with and having to rub the industry the right way, especially a few days before release date... It's like those movie critics attending premieres of Wonder Woman 1984 and claiming "wow best movie ever"

According to TEAMVVV, one who has criticized GTsport's physics before, the new physics system is majorly better. So, it's probably only holding the AI and asset textures back...

Forza sells a lot but is generally agreed upon to have bad AI.
Point is that it sold a lot, therefore is a success, not a "failure" like some of the people are implying about anything with bad AI. A lot of the biggest selling games across the board have relatively terrible AI, are those game also failures?

What people on here need to realise is that just because the majority of this forum and die-hard fans want better AI, doesn't mean the wider audience in it's whoever many millions is going to be too concerned with the AI racing like Lewis-Alain Verstappenmacher.

That wider audience doesn't typically tie difficulty with quality, and will lose interest in a game if they're continually being stomped by bots.

I want better AI too, but at the same time I realise that the better AI might driver the larger audience away.
You're equating good AI to simply being fast and kicking ass. If people buy Gt because they want a racing game then good AI that caters to all skill levels is esssntial. The stuff people come up with to defend atrocious AI by the biggest player in the segment is astonishing.

What is this guy talkin about
He/she is stating that they know your whole political views and are a much holier and righteous human being than Yourself based off one comment regarding a video game whilst confirming they are incredibly judgmental which one could say highlights their own political view by being triggered by the three letters NPC. Hope that helps.
