The worst type of reviews among the collection of them. By this it's not the game that is the problem, but you (the reviewer).
VGC had double standard regarding this and FH5 with the "dialogues" or such.

Yeah because the story of Papa fernando and the cringy dialogue that is basically the game version of the "how do you do fellow kids" meme is soo good man. 10/10 dialogue in FH5, best writing of 2021 (/s).

Yeah that review was absolutely terrible

I am so glad reviews are out and I can stop reading this God-foresaken thread full of mouth breathers and wackjobs nitpicking every morsel of information down to the spin of the quarks; its incessant and uncanny and I hope those of you who need help get it. To everyone else who made it this far in the thread without losing their sanity, enjoy GT7, looks like it will be enjoyable.

Is it really double standard if those were reviewed by 2 different person? Reviews are subjective, just stop being offended by reviews you don't agree with.
What 2 different person? Take a good look again at the pics I shared.

Just another day of patience and you can just play and form your own opinion ;)

did these scale models come with GT5 or some other game?

Hot wheels released them a few years ago, there's been a couple different runs with different cars.

Just watched the Digital Foundry technical analysis. Supremely impressed, really can't wait now.

Online dailies being open tuned is a massive turn off. I hope they reinstate BOP races. I want to race, and know it’s a fair fight. Staring at sliders and menus instead then wondering if I’m losing because I’m slow or because my tune is no good seems like a big downgrade from sport. I think most players will be similarly unsure about tuning and will turn to posted setups resulting in meta tunes and cars.
Totally agree! I'm even thinking about holding out buying this since I know how this will turn out for me. Having to go back to GTsport for my online fix since I hate tuning and don't want to learn it. And I'm not going to learn it.
We all know PD don't listen to their players so it can take ages before this is adjusted, if ever. I was shocked when I heard this in Super GT's review. I loved the level playing field in GTsport and this can ruin that.

Your not the only one who cant see them,im the same.Nothing showing on my os5.A few people have said i can find them in my downliads on library.playstation.com but i posted screenshots showing nothing.
Should be ok on release day, they do show up on the ps4 version i download on my pro though.👍
Oh I’m not worried about the Castrol Supra. I was just wondering how the guy also had a Peugeot and a few other cars ready to download aswell. I can’t find any mention of those cars coming for free in any edition of GT7.

Not really. Jordan covered the poor AI and how disappointing he found it but still gave it a 9 overall because if everything else. Scores alone don't tell the whole story.
Forza sells a lot but is generally agreed upon to have bad AI.
Forza Motorsport's AI at its worst is still better than GT's in my experience. But then the AI in the Forza Horizon series always kills the games for me, but they always get rave reviews too. Had to smile the other night when the AI in ACC actually lapped me when I had spun out a couple of times!

Do we agree that Digital Foundry don't mention even once the AI skills ? Kinda weird for a Tech review isn't it.

As you said, tech review. DF focus on the presentation, graphics, how it runs, performance etc. They'll touch on some bits but they focus on that side of it. Eurogamer.net covers the game review side.

That's 1 review in tens of them with different viewpoints. Present me with data that proves majority care about AI and race formats.
If people dont care about AI why are they buying the game? Why did people get excited with state of play despite hardly any game play being shown and certainly no gameplay was shown that made GT7 look like a step up from GTS? Was it because of all the candy graphics? Plus the hype? Are you saying they're not buying it because it's a great game but because of bells and whistles? If it had average graphics would it be as successful because it had to stand on the legs of its gameplay ? Are the reviewers giving if rave reviews because the offline play is riveting or because it's all shiny and blingy, on top of being paid promoters by YouTubes definition under TOS?

And it's always the same 5-6 people trying to convince everyone else that the game terrible because of one particular gripe, then becoming aggressive and argumentative when they're challenged on their BS + the fact they've got no source or data to prove said BS...
No one is trying to convince anyone that the game is terrible because of one gripe, one gripe that is actually the biggest determining factor in why they wont enjoy the game, and not one of them has been challenged. For example I have not seen this...

Person not buying GT: Ai is terrible, I'm not buying it because il get no joy from it.

Person supposedly Challenging their BS: I call bs, here is me challenging your claim AI is crap and you cant enjoy it by showing you videos of the AI not being crap. Also I'm gonna make these claims then ask you to prove my claims and accuse you of not providing proof about claims you didbt even make.

Is that what you call challenging people?

My bad really , I had the feeling they discussed this kind of tech in previous reviews. Topic closed please!

I have an SSD installed in my PS4 pro and it loads faster than 30 seconds
Even if it was just the reduction from 30s to 3s it’s be worth the $500 to me. Load times and waiting for ages every. single. time. is what annoyed ne by far the most about old GT games.

If the races are open to owned cars with upgrades, then I think this will be okay. You could either reach the required PP by just buying upgrades, and detuning if needed, or if you want to tune your setup, you can increase the cars PP that way. I like the idea of perfecting my Integra (or whatever) set up to be able to compete with faster standard cars / mild race cars. On the other hand, if we are given identical cars with open setups, then it may be a problem. I personally don't have much interest in adjusting the settings of a rented, standard Honda Fit to compete with the guy who trawled the internet to find the best setup.

Do people know if we can customize the settings in the campaign/GT league ? I mean, enabling damage, settings slipstream strenght, enabling penalties, disable auto reset when crashing....? If not, I don't know if I'll buy it.

Also, are there two modes on PS4 pro like GT sport ? The frame rate mode looked great on a 1080p TV.

The problem with my PS4 slim is it only supports SATA II Speeds which is around 180MB/s. The PS4 Pro has an upgraded SATA III Controller so I'm going to get a PS4 pro. I would buy a PS5 but they are still being scalped and a MSRP one is very very difficult to find. Theres a slightly faster load time in my PS4 Slim and its much quieter with the SSD in it but it should in theory be much quicker with a PS4 Pro. Not only that but GT7 will look much better on a PS4 Pro.
